"Would It Be All Right With You If Life Got Easier?

By Maria Nemeth  December 16th, 2008
Source Dream Manifesto

"Would it be all right with you if life got easier? I’ve asked tens of thousands of people that question over the past twenty years. After a pause, most of them say something like: “That’s obvious. Yes. Of course!”

Take a moment with that question. While you may find yourself giving an immediate “yes,” you could notice another question on your mind: “What’s the catch?”

There isn’t any catch. But this question about having life get easier flies in the face of what we normally consider the successful life to be. Many of us have learned that success is won by hard work - even struggle. We’ve raised the bar on our goals and achievements, while comparing ourselves to what we think others have accomplished. We get frustrated because we think we’re not doing enough to get ahead.

The result is that we accomplish lots, but we’re too exhausted to enjoy or appreciate what we’ve done. We’ve powered our way through obstacles, and the result is less and less enjoyment. We tell ourselves we can savor the journey later. Under these conditions, a life filled with ease seems, paradoxically, difficult to even think about.

You deserve to live the life you were meant to live, and you have everything it takes to do this. One key is to learn to bring ease with you into whatever you’re doing, and especially when going for an important life goal, whether at work or play.

First, have you ever considered lowering the bar instead of raising it? You read that right. For the past twenty-five years, the typical view of success has been that you stretch…and stretch….and stretch yourself to do things better than before. While it’s intuitively obvious that if we’re not growing we’re stagnating, nevertheless we sometimes stretch ourselves so tight that we get “success stretch marks.” How does that look? We’re irritable, driven, checking our to-do lists, and just trying to make it through another day.

There’s a good reason for learning to lower the bar. It’s called Trouble at the Border, a phenomenon that happens whenever we take steps to implement an idea or project. When you see why it occurs, you learn to take your foot off the high performance pedal long enough to ease your way into success.

Successful action means taking an idea and doing something about it. Just thinking about planting a garden, for example, won’t bring about those beautiful blossoms in spring. There are two domains of reality that we are here to operate in: metaphysical and physical. Metaphysical reality is the home of ideas, dreams and vision. It’s where we get our “juice” - where we find what’s important to us. For example, you may have the desire to be financially successful, physically fit and healthy, spiritually developing, a creator of beauty or a successful entrepreneur. Those are examples of what I could call Life’s Intentions: the purposes that give our lives meaning.

However, if we stay in metaphysical reality too long without taking action, we end up “metafizzling.” Boredom seeps in, as well as frustration. We want to do something with the Life’s Intention—make it happen in physical reality.

Physical reality is where we take action on what’s important. It’s the home of people, places and things. Whereas the energy of metaphysical reality is high and full of inspiration, the energy of physical reality is dense. It takes work to do in physical reality what you dream of in metaphysical reality. Getting back to the garden, there’s visualizing that garden of marigolds and chrysanthemums. Then there’s drawing plans, consulting guides, buying seeds, planting and watering.

Trouble at the Border is at the interface between metaphysical and physical reality. This is where the inspiration of our ideas meets with a solid push-back from the physical world. We begin to discover that it’s going to take more energy than we thought to do what we wanted. A friend of mine once said it is like standing at the seashore and having a wave of cold water hit you in the face.

At that point, an insidious inner conversation often begins. It croons to us in a familiar tone.

“Where am I going to find the right plan for my garden?”
“How do I know the best seeds to buy?”
“Do I really have time right now to learn all about this?”
“Do I have the talent?”
Whose idea was this anyway?

The name I give this self-limiting internal dialogue is Monkey Mind. It originated as a Buddhist term, standing for that aspect of the mind that always chatters at us as it swings from doubt, to worry, and back to doubt again. It is always there at the border between our dreams and physical reality. There may be survival reasons for this, because we didn’t have fangs or fur and couldn’t run very far when we lived in caves and on the savannah. But we did have a mind that could warn us about what could go wrong. And that mind persists until this day, warning us away from our dreams.

When we begin to go for a goal, those of us who are high-achievers often make big promises for huge results. We try to power our way through Trouble at the Border, dragging our Monkey Mind with us as it clings to our legs. This is a formula for exhaustion.

This is where learning to bring ease to the situation comes in. Here are some pointers:

  • Recognize that you will often hit Trouble at the Border whenever you initiate a project, no matter how much you were inspired by it in the past.
  • Consider the possibility that your doubts and worries about an inspiring goal could be the sign that you’re doing something right, not wrong. You are venturing past the ordinary, and that’s when Monkey Mind invariably shows up.
  • Take the smallest steps possible to achieve simple results. Big steps  at the border arouse Monkey Mind. Small steps allow it to rest.
  • Be aware that small steps when you’re at the border actually take more energy than at any other time. Think of a rocket ship at liftoff, which burns 90% of its fuel in the first three minutes.
  • Find something to enjoy about each small, sweet result that you generate.

Try out some of the above. Give yourself the gift of success in a way that frees you up to dance with your fondest dreams. "

"The Impending Collapse of Our Enemies

Seems to be some upside to the worldwide economic fallout.

________

"THE IMPENDING COLLAPSE OF OUR ENEMIES

By DICK MORRIS & EILEEN MCGANN

Published on DickMorris.com on December 15, 2008

"The Depression -- let's call it what it is -- leaves us, well, depressed.  But there is very good news from around the world.  Our enemies are collapsing under the strain of dropping oil and gas prices.  What we had all hoped conservation and off-shore drilling would achieve, the global economic collapse is accomplishing: the defeat of OPEC, Iran, Chavez, Putin and the weakening of the financial underpinnings of Islamist terrorism.  In each of these nations, the hold of the dictator is weakening as, one after the other, they face the consequences of dropping oil prices.

In Iran, the sanctions imposed by the United Nations, the aggressive efforts of the U.S. government, and the actions of states like California, Florida, and Missouri to ban pension investments in companies that do business with Iran are having a big effect.  Unable to expand its oil production for a lack of foreign investment, Iran faces the need to slash its budget drastically as energy revenues, the source of 85% of its income, crash.  Iranian President Ahmadinejad is announcing harsh austerity measures.  Having based his budget on $50-$60 oil, he now must recast it for at a $40 per barrel level.  He boasts of cash reserves of $23 billion, but that sum won't last long unless he makes major cuts.  (Do the math: a shortfall of $25/barrel per day x 4 million barrels a day x 365 days = $36.5 billion, more than he's got on hand).

The question for Ahmadinejad and for the Ayatollah who stands behind him is: Can their regime survive economic collapse?  Unable to buy social peace by handouts and subsidies, will the top blow off an country that hates the regime, is predominantly very young, and is only 40% Farci?

Chavez, in Venezuela is not in any better shape.  Because of corruption and incompetence, Venezuelan oil production has dropped from over 3 million barrels per day when Chavez took over to about 1.7 million today.  As long as oil prices were quadrupling, it didn't matter, but when they crashed, a harsh wind of reality blew in the door.  Chavez was losing popularity before the oil price dropped.  He lost a constitutional referendum to give himself lifetime tenure and he just lost his municipal elections in the largest cities and states in the nation.  After knocking out most of the major opposition candidates on phony charges of corruption, he managed to hang on to the governorships of the small, rural provinces, but he lost the cities - even the poor areas of the cities vote d against him.

Now, beset already by food shortages and galloping inflation, Venezuela has to make do with less subsidization and drastic cuts.  Feeling cold times ahead, Chavez is desperately pressing ahead with a new attempt to abolish term limits in a vote set for the end of February, but, if he falls short - which we think he will - he could be out in a matter of months.

Chavez' client-states -- Ecuador, Nicaragua, and Bolivia -- have to face life without subsidies.  Evo Morales, the head of Bolivia who got elected pledging to allow cocoa cultivation again, already faces a virtual civil war as the energy-rich half of his country wants autonomy and, possibly, independence.  Argentina, whose corrupt regime has held onto power by massive borrowing from Chavez, must now seek sustenance from the global markets, only recently burned by its default on its foreign debt.  Fat chance.

Putin's Russia, which so recently threw its weight around by invading Georgia, faces perhaps the biggest hit of all to its economy.  Producing 10 million barrels per day, Russia will be hit the hardest by the collapse of prices.  (Again, do the math:  Assume Russia budgeted at $60 oil prices and the price drops to $40.  $20/barrel x 10 million barrels per day x 365 = a $73 billion annual shortfall).  With a GDP of only about $1.4 trillion, Russia faces the loss of about 5% of its economy.  And Russian oil production has dropped by one million barrels per day for each of the past two years.  With prices at rock bottom and nationalization an ever-present threat, who is going to invest in increasing Russian production?

And what of OPEC and the economic base of the Islamist terrorists?  Countries like the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, and Kuwait will be OK because they have small populations among whom to divide their oil earnings.  Saudi Arabia will make it because of its massive production and relatively small population.  But every other OPEC nation has a large population where the ruler, usually a dictator, buys social peace with oil money.  The pressure to stay in power will be so intense that these leaders will force production as high as they can to offset the shortfall.  The result is that there will be constant deflationary pressure on oil prices, a vicious cycle that will impoverish all the right people."

"Wake Up and Smell the Prosperity

"Wake Up and Smell the Prosperity

By Laurel Nevinslong  November 20th, 2008

Source Dream Manifesto

"Just after Christmas in 1993 I was diagnosed with cancer. Although the tumor had invaded the surrounding lymph nodes, it was treatable with surgery and radiation and fourteen years later I am thankful to be alive and healthy.  For me the cancer diagnosis was a great big message from the Universe that it was time to Wake Up And Smell The Coffee.  It was time for me to pay attention and live my life consciously.  Thus began my journey of prosperity, although it would take me more than a decade before I would understand this.  At the time I just thought of it as a journey of change - a lot of change.

I left a 14 year relationship that had stopped working several years earlier. I quit my job. I cashed in my 401K and lived off it for several years while I explored what I wanted to do for work.  I started to make conscious choices about how I was spending my life’s energy, and I began cutting out the energy drains and focusing on the things that really contributed to the quality of my life.  I started to listen to my inner guidance and I learned that amazing things happen when you listen.

On New Year’s Day 2007, I spent the day with several friends who are artists.  They taught me a technique for creating intricate designs with colored wax, metallics and paper.  I made a few, but I was more interested in using patterns of words to embellish the ones my friends were making. I had never written poetry before, but as I looked at their unique and remarkable designs, I was compelled to write.

Messages about Universal Truth, Spirit and Energy just flowed through me onto the paper. What started out as a crafts project turned into something much more.  Three months later these creations were featured at a local art gallery. Sixteen of the pieces sold on the opening night of the show.  In just three short months I went from a newbie learning a craft to selling these magical creations.

Around this same time I learned about the Law of Attraction and began to study everything I could find about prosperity consciousness.  I studied the work of Abraham-Hicks, Napoleon Hill and many others who teach about harnessing the power of our thoughts to manifest our desires.  I learned about connecting to the divine spirit that is in all of us.  Plus I learned that true prosperity encompasses all domains of our existence – spiritual, physical, financial, social/emotional and mental.

My favorite definition of prosperity is described by Edwene Gaines in her book “The Four Spiritual Laws of Prosperity: A Simple Guide to Unlimited Abundance.”  According to Ms. Gaines, true prosperity is:

- “A vitally alive physical body to provide a comfortable worldly home for the spiritual beings that we are.”

- “Relationships that are satisfying, nurturing, honest and work all the time.”

- “Work that we love so much that it’s not work, it’s play.”

- “And having all the money we can spend.”

Since I started actively studying prosperity consciousness and drawing on the fullness of my life experience to make myself open to the prosperity around me, amazing events began unfolding in my life.  I’ve already shared my experience as a burgeoning artist.  Here are just a few more of the amazing things that happened over the past year as I am becoming aware of and open to having an abundance of prosperity in my life:

Having never flown first class, the airline upgraded my seats twice in the last six months. One week after I decided I needed a commuter car, a friend emailed me asking if I knew of anyone who could use the car she was ready to pass on to a new owner.

An unexpected check for $5000 arrived the very day after I discovered a deficit of several thousand dollars in my cash flow for that month. In one year I went from being more than $40,000 in debt, to being debt free. At my current job, my program budget was unexpectedly doubled and our center was given $100,000 of unsolicited additional funding.

After spending months meditating on manifesting a million dollars, I was stunned to discover that as administrator of my late aunt’s estate, I have responsibility for more than one and a half million dollars that, prior to her death, the family had no idea existed.

These are but a few examples of the prosperity that is manifesting in my life now.  I am cultivating a prosperity consciousness and I practice having a prosperous mindset on a daily basis.  As part of my own journey of prosperity, I gathered hundreds of pages of writings and resources from centuries of teachings on the topic.  From those writings I have extracted seven essential steps to prosperity that have guided me on my journey and that I now wish to share with you.

1)  Wake up and be conscious.

In this fast paced world, we too often get consumed with ‘doing,’ caught up in the many activities that make up modern life. Our days are filled with appointments, commitments and activities. We’re so busy ‘doing’ that we forget about ‘being.’ The first step to prosperity is to s-l-o-w down, to be mindful and conscious – awake and aware.

2)  Clear the clutter.

Our mental and physical worlds are filled with stuff.  All of that stuff consumes energy; energy to maintain it, store it, even just to have it around. Getting rid of clutter in our physical environment frees up energy and makes room for other things to come into our lives. Clearing mental clutter is equally important.  As Nick Nolte’s character says in the movie Peaceful Warrior, “Throw out the trash.”

3)  Cultivate a prosperous mindset.

Clearing out the mental clutter - emptying out the negative self-talk and limiting beliefs - makes room to develop a prosperous mindset.  Do I think like a poor person or do I think like a prosperous person?  Do I assume that good things are going to happen to me or bad things?  Our prosperity mindset is reflected in everything that we think and say, from the smallest things, like finding a parking space on a busy street, to the fulfillment of our biggest dreams.

4)  Live with purpose.

Focus on being who we came here to be.  By remembering that we are spiritual beings having a human experience rather than a human being having a spiritual experience, we remain connected to our divine purpose.

5) Tap the power of thoughts.

Students of the Law of Attraction understand the power our thoughts have to create our experience.  Simply stated, like attracts like, and what we think about becomes reality. Wayne Dyer captured this concisely in the title of his recent book “Change Your Thoughts - Change Your Life.”  To be truly prosperous we need to be visionaries, believing wholeheartedly in our visions, and not allowing ourselves to remain stuck in what “is.”

6)  Be a good receiver.

I used to be a terrible receiver.  All too often when surprised with a present, I would find myself saying “You shouldn’t have” or “I can’t accept this.”  Later I realized that the message I was sending was “Don’t give me any good stuff.”  Being a good receiver sends a powerful message to the Universe that we willingly and joyfully accept all that is in store for us. We are open to all of the prosperity that the Universe has to offer.

7)  Live with gratitude.

I recently heard a radio interview that reminded me of the power of living with gratitude.  John Scripter was the first person to undergo a heart transplant at a world renowned hospital in Boston. After the historic operation, the doctors told the Scripter family that John might live for five years.  After John’s death, his wife Linda told interviewers of the tremendous gratitude that her husband felt for the additional time he was given.  He greeted each day with thanks and appreciation.  John Scripter has been called a “miracle man’’ living for twenty-two years following the heart transplant; twice as long as the average heart transplant recipient.

We can all follow John Scripter’s example and live with gratitude and appreciation for the abundance and prosperity that exists in each and every day.  Be conscious and aware of the abundance that surrounds us.  Make room for good things to come into our lives.  Clear out the negative beliefs and tap the power of our thoughts to create the things we desire to experience.

This is the journey of prosperity and it is the journey of the conscious entrepreneur.  Central to prosperity and conscious business are a commitment to following one’s inner guidance, a willingness to fulfill one’s divine plan, and making a difference in the world.   Don’t wait for the Universe to send you a big nasty cosmic wake up message. Wake up and smell the Prosperity. Be conscious. Be entrepreneurial.  Be prosperous.  It is your birthright."

"Will Holiday Habits Set You Back for 2009?

"Will Holiday Habits Set You Back for 2009?

By Jack Canfield  December 13th, 2008
Source Dream Manifesto

"You are an accumulation of your habits. From how you get out of bed, how you shower, how you dress, how you shop for food and eat meals, how you exercise, how you walk, sit, and talk, how you respond to the world, how you act in front of others, and how you think; you are living out your habits.

Habits are necessary. Because they typically come naturally and automatically ("through habit"), they free up your mind so you can concentrate on how to survive day to day. You don't have to think about how to drive your car so you can be on the lookout for danger while you are driving. You don't have to think about how to walk so you can concentrate on where you're going.

Unfortunately, habits can also keep you locked in self-destructive patterns, which will limit your success.

This is especially true during stressful periods, like holidays. And compounding the holiday season this year is the current economic downturn we're all experiencing.

It's probably going to last longer than a season, infringing upon people's aspirations and optimism for 2009. People are facing job loss, foreclosures, higher bills, lower incomes...and yet those holiday expectations loom large. This is when it's far too easy to let bad habits take over and multiply with every holiday symbol that you see.

What's the secret to surviving this holiday season, bring in the new year feeling fantastic-physically and emotionally - and have more confidence in the future?

You will need to drop those bad habits and develop new ones that are in line with the life you want to live. This will help you to get through the holidays cheerfully and embrace 2009 with high hopes. People don't suddenly appear in the life they want to live, habits determine their outcome!

So ask yourself, what are the habits you have that are keeping you from achieving your goals? Which ones seem to become magnified during the end of the year, setting you up for feeling behind and lousy come January 1st?

Really be honest with yourself. Are you always running late? Do you make promises you can't keep? Do you get enough sleep? Do you make excuses for not eating well and scheduling exercise? Do you plan out your day?

Imagine what your life would be like if all those habits were their productive counterparts.

What would your life be like if you ate healthy meals, exercised and got enough sleep? What if you saved money, stopped using credit cards and paid cash for everything? What if you stopped procrastinating, overcame your fears, and began networking with people in your field? Would your life be different? I bet it would!

So, my suggested action step for you is to write down some productive habits you could adopt and visualize in your life. Step two is to "act as if" you were living these new habits right now!

I know, you thought you wouldn't have to do this until New Year's, but I'd like to help you get moving toward creating more successful habits today, so you're already in motion when 2009 lands.

I'd recommend you plan on developing four of your new success habits each year, one for each quarter. That means right this instant you can map out which four you intend to adopt in 2009, and then create a method that will support your new habits.

Here are some ideas:
You could write it down on a card that you keep with you and read several times a day. You could make it a part of your daily visualization. You could also enlist the help of an accountability partner who has habits to change.

It's important to make a 100% commitment to each of your new habits, so be specific about the steps that you're willing to take in order to drop an old habit and adopt a new one.

Don't be vague about how you will change your habits. Spell it out for yourself so you can recognize situations that motivate you to act out your new habit.

Just developing four new habits a year will dramatically shift your life to be more in line with your vision. And the more in line it becomes, the easier the other habits are to replace because your perspective is shifting and you can see more clearly how your old habits aren't serving you anymore.

Don't let the economic forecast for the next several months impede your movement forward. Get ready for 2009 today. Focus on habits that will launch you forward, not back.

Make the decision. Make the commitment. Then watch your new, positive life unfold!"

"Why Not Live Life Like You Mean It?

"Why Not Live Life Like You Mean It?

By Stephen Covey  December 11th, 2008
Source Dream Manifesto

"It is so easy to let Ron do it. Or, in other words, to do it " LateR on" . Why do today what we can put off till tomorrow? Perhaps this human tendency to sacrifice the important to the urgent is exacerbated today by quantum leaps in our life expectancy. Baby boomers around the world are being blessed by a second adult life. Sixty is the new Thirty and all that.

We googled "life expectancy" and found a life expectancy calculator at livingto100.com. For $5 I learned I will live to be 97. Wow, 60 really is the new 30. Who knows how accurate this is, but the doctor on the site is the medical advisor to a Sky One television show in Britain called Change the Day You Die. Interesting.

This insight started when I was listening to Tom Peters the other day on my ipod. I sat up straight when he mentioned that Mozart died at 35. Whoa! Think of what he accomplished in what is today a "half life." A few minutes research online and I discovered several others that died in their 30s: Gershwin (38) Princess Di (36) Alexander the Great (32) Van Gogh (37), Bob Marley (36), Marilyn Monroe (36). Lest this insight cease to be brief, we will let this short list suffice. This idea really hit home last week when we were sobered by learning that our friends' uncle died unexpectedly at 51. We never know.

In the SPEED of Trust workshop we challenge people to identify an important relationship that they would like to restore lost trust in. Some take it to heart and create a break through for themselves. Others allow the opportunity slip through their fingers and let Ron do it. This is usually a life pattern even with the most successful people. They seem to master their careers but fail to face and master their most important relationships.

A recent participant took it on and restored trust with a sister who had not spoken to her in over a year. Another changed his relationship with a stepdaughter who is now his best friend. Another worked with a boss of 10 years and got promoted. The common sentiment of people who have the courage and resolve to take the challenge is that they wish they had done it years ago. They now resolve to not live life with broken relationships but to change their behavior.

To have what we call a "behavior shift." We have identified 13 behaviors of high trust common to leaders around the world. But learning behaviors and living them are two different things.

Changing your behavior is tough. According to a Fast Company article in May 2005, "about 600,000 people have bypasses in the U. S. A. and 1.3 million have angioplasties." In order for the procedure to last and extend their lives, they need to change their lifestyle. Now this is a life and death motivation for change. Yet "....two years later 90% have not changed their lifestyle." Apparently fear of dying puts them into denial and they ignore it.

There is hope. John Kotter of Harvard says "Behavior change happens mostly by speaking to people's feelings...In highly successful change efforts, people find ways to help others see the problems or solutions in ways that influence emotions not just thought." Dr Dean Ornish, a professor of medicine at U C San Francisco, "persuaded Mutual of Omaha to fund research. Doctors took 333 patients with severely clogged arteries."

They put them on a regimen of diet and exercise. " The program lasted for only a year. But after three years, the study found, 77% of the patients had stuck with their lifestyle changes-and safely avoided bypass or angioplasty surgery...Instead of trying to motivate them with the "fear of dying," Ornish reframes the issue. He inspires a new vision of the "joy of living" ..."Joy is a more powerful motivator than fear," he says.

Mutual of Omaha saved millions of dollars because the patients in the study did not have to have surgery. The high cost of low trust is costing you and your organization in a similar way and exacting what we call a trust tax on your important relationships and your personal and professional "bottom-line." What are the costs of your low trust and broken relationships to you? Promotions? Profit? Productivity, love, joy, satisfaction? Whatever it is, why not take it on trust once and for all. If not now - when?

Whatever you have accomplished so far in your life, the possibility for you to do something worthy is tremendous. Whether you have another half-life ahead of you or you return home tomorrow, why not live life like you mean it? All we ask is that you strengthen trust in one simple relationship, and then another, which will lead to another, and on you go and pretty soon you have a life. You have influence. Relationships are the currency of life.

People on their deathbed talk about relationships, not money. The irony is people with high trust relationships are more likely to make more money, be better parents, be promoted, get a raise, be given the best projects and have overall more financial success. You can have the best of both worlds: rich personal relationships and career satisfaction. Most of all you will increase your influence and thus your ability to make a bigger difference for having lived.

A recent cover story of BusinessWeek Magazine asks: Is Your Company FAST Enough ? and warns: "There are two kinds of businesses: the quick and the dead". Living life at the SPEED of Trust is the career critical skill of the new global economy. Take it on.

If not now-when?

"Aude aliquid dignum" ("Dare something worthy")

Keep making waves."

“Since I am no longer affiliated with any organization nor receiving any funding, I can speak quite frankly….As a scientist I remain skeptical.” -  Atmospheric Scientist Dr. Joanne Simpson, the first woman in the world to receive a PhD in meteorology  and formerly of NASA who has authored more than 190 studies and has been called “among the most preeminent scientists of the last 100 years.”

Warming fears are the “worst scientific scandal in the history…When people come to know what the truth is, they will feel deceived by science and scientists.” - UN IPCC Japanese Scientist Dr. Kiminori Itoh, an award-winning PhD environmental physical chemist.

“The IPCC has actually become a closed circuit; it doesn’t listen to others. It doesn’t have open minds… I am really amazed that the Nobel Peace Prize has been given on scientifically incorrect conclusions by people who are not geologists,” - Indian geologist Dr. Arun D. Ahluwalia at Punjab University and a board member of the UN-supported International Year of the Planet.

“The models and forecasts of the UN IPCC "are incorrect because they only are based on mathematical models and presented results at scenarios that do not include, for example, solar activity.” - Victor Manuel Velasco Herrera, a researcher at the Institute of Geophysics of the National Autonomous University of Mexico

“It is a blatant lie put forth in the media that makes it seem there is only a fringe of scientists who don’t buy into anthropogenic global warming.” - U.S Government Atmospheric Scientist Stanley B. Goldenberg of the Hurricane Research Division of NOAA.

“Even doubling or tripling the amount of carbon dioxide will virtually have little impact, as water vapour and water condensed on particles as clouds dominate the worldwide scene and always will.” – . Geoffrey G. Duffy, a professor in the Department of Chemical and Materials Engineering of the University of Auckland, NZ.

“After reading [UN IPCC chairman] Pachauri's asinine comment [comparing skeptics to] Flat Earthers, it's hard to remain quiet.” - Climate statistician Dr. William M. Briggs, who specializes in the statistics of forecast evaluation, serves on the American Meteorological Society's Probability and Statistics Committee and is an Associate Editor of Monthly Weather Review.

“For how many years must the planet cool before we begin to understand that the planet is not warming? For how many years must cooling go on?" - Geologist Dr. David Gee the chairman of the science committee of the 2008 International Geological Congress who has authored 130 plus peer reviewed papers, and is currently at Uppsala University in Sweden.

“Gore prompted me to start delving into the science again and I quickly found myself solidly in the skeptic camp…Climate models can at best be useful for explaining climate changes after the fact.” - Meteorologist Hajo Smit of Holland, who reversed his belief in man-made warming to become a skeptic, is a former member of the Dutch UN IPCC committee.

“Many [scientists] are now searching for a way to back out quietly (from promoting warming fears), without having their professional careers ruined.” - Atmospheric physicist James A. Peden, formerly of the Space Research and Coordination Center in Pittsburgh.

“Creating an ideology pegged to carbon dioxide is a dangerous nonsense…The present alarm on climate change is an instrument of social control, a pretext for major businesses and political battle. It became an ideology, which is concerning.” - Environmental Scientist Professor Delgado Domingos of Portugal, the founder of the Numerical Weather Forecast group, has more than 150 published articles.

“CO2 emissions make absolutely no difference one way or another….Every scientist knows this, but it doesn’t pay to say so…Global warming, as a political vehicle, keeps Europeans in the driver’s seat and developing nations walking barefoot.” - Dr. Takeda Kunihiko, vice-chancellor of the Institute of Science and Technology Research at Chubu University in Japan.

“The [global warming] scaremongering has its justification in the fact that it is something that generates funds.” - Award-winning Paleontologist Dr. Eduardo Tonni, of the Committee for Scientific Research in Buenos Aires and head of the Paleontology Department at the University of La Plata.  # #

In addition, the report will feature new peer-reviewed scientific studies and analyses refuting man-made warming fears and a heavy dose of inconvenient climate developments. (See Below: Study: Half of warming due to Sun! –Sea Levels Fail to Rise? - Warming Fears in 'Dustbin of History'

The Senate Minority Report is an update of 2007’s blockbuster U.S. Senate Minority Report of over 400 dissenting scientists. See here: This new report will contain the names, quotes and analyses of literally hundreds of additional international scientists who publicly dissented from man-made climate fears in just 2008 alone. The chorus of scientific voices skeptical grow louder as a steady stream of peer-reviewed studies, analyses and real world data challenge the UN and former Vice President Al Gore's claims that the "science is settled" and there is a "consensus." The original 2007 U.S. Senate report is available hereFull Report Set To Be Released in the Next 24 Hours – Stay Tuned…

Meanwhile, while the UN climate conference is in session here in Poznan, the bad scientific news for promoters of man-made climate alarm just keeps rolling in. Below is a very small sampling of very inconvenient developments for Gore, the United Nations, and their promoters in the mainstream media. Peer-reviewed studies, analyses, and prominent scientists continue to speak out to refute climate fears. The data presented below is just from the past week.

Peer-reviewed study: Half of recent warming was solar! - December 10, 2008

Excerpt:  In this dose of peer-reviewed skeptical climatological literature, we follow Climate Research News. The blog was intrigued by a new article in Geophysical Research Letters that was accepted on Friday, December 5th. Eichler, A., S. Olivier, K. Henderson, A. Laube, J. Beer, T. Papina, H. W. Gäggeler, and M. Schwikowski: Temperature response in the Altai region lags solar forcing - Recall that the Siberian Altai Mountains are found at the intersection of Russia, China, Mongolia, and Kazakhstan. The authors looked at 750 years worth of the local ice core, especially the oxygen isotope. They claim to have found a very strong correlation between the concentration of this isotope (i.e. temperature) on one side and the known solar activity in the epoch 1250-1850. Their data seem to be precise enough to determine the lag, about 10-30 years. It takes some time for the climate to respond to the solar changes. It seems that they also have data to claim that the correlation gets less precise after 1850. They attribute the deviation to CO2 and by comparing the magnitude of the forcings, they conclude that "Our results are in agreement with studies based on NH temperature reconstructions [Scafetta et al., 2007] revealing that only up to approximately 50% of the observed global warming in the last 100 years can be explained by the Sun." Well, the word "only" is somewhat cute in comparison with the "mainstream" fashionable ideology. The IPCC said that they saw a 90% probability that "most" of the recent warming was man-made. The present paper would reduce this figure, 90%, to less than 50% because the Sun itself is responsible for 1/2 of the warming and not the whole 50% of the warming could have been caused by CO2 because there are other effects, too. Note that if 0.3 °C or 0.4 °C of warming in the 20th century was due to the increasing CO2 levels, the climate sensitivity is decisively smaller than 1 °C. At any rate, the expected 21st century warming due to CO2 would be another 0.3-0.4 °C, and this time, if the solar activity contributes with the opposite sign, these two effects could cancel. Even if you try to stretch these numbers a little bit - but not unrealistically - you have to become sure that the participants of the Poznan conference are lunatics.

New Arctic ice analysis reveals ‘No clear evidence of a delay in the start of the later summer/early fall freeze up or the start of the late winter/early spring melt’ – Excerpt: Based on analysis by William Chapman, author of The Cryosphere Today website, graciously prepared an analysis of the dates of the minimum and maximum Arctic sea ice coverage since 1979.

Oscillation Rules as the Pacific Cools – December 9, 2008 Excerpt: A cool wedge of lower-than-normal sea-surface heights continues to dominate the tropical Pacific, ringed by a horseshoe of warmer waters. The continuation of this long-term cool phase of the Pacific Decadal Oscillation stacks the odds against a wetter-than-average winter/spring in the southwestern United States. The latest image of sea-surface height measurements from the U.S./French Jason-1 oceanography satellite shows the Pacific Ocean remains locked in a strong, cool phase of the Pacific Decadal Oscillation, a large, long-lived pattern of climate variability in the Pacific associated with a general cooling of Pacific waters. […]  Sea-surface temperature satellite data from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration mirror Jason sea-surface height measurements, clearly showing a cool Pacific Decadal Oscillation pattern, as seen at: http://www.cdc.noaa.gov/map/images/sst/sst.anom.gif. "This multi-year Pacific Decadal Oscillation 'cool' trend can cause La Niña-like impacts around the Pacific basin," said Bill Patzert, an oceanographer and climatologist at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory. […] This cool phase will likely persist this winter and, perhaps, beyond.

Report: Sea Level rise 'has stumbled since 2005' – Meteorologist Anthony Watts – December 5, 2008 Excerpt: We’ve been waiting for the UC web page to be updated with the most recent sea level data. It finally has been updated for 2008. It looks like the steady upward trend of sea level as measured by satellite has stumbled since 2005. The 60 day line in blue tells the story. From the University of Colorado web page: “Long-term mean sea level change is a variable of considerable interest in the studies of global climate change. The measurement of long-term changes in global mean sea level can provide an important corroboration of predictions by climate models of global warming. Long term sea level variations are primarily determined with two different methods.” - Yes, I would agree, it is indeed a variable of considerable interest. The question now is, how is it linked to global climate change (aka global warming) if CO2 continues to increase, and sea level does not?

Peer-Reviewed Study: Recent worldwide land warming' NOT 'a direct response to increasing greenhouse gases (GHGs) over land' - WorldClimateReport.com – December 3, 2008 Rethinking Observed Warming?’ Key quote: “Evidence is presented that the recent worldwide land warming has occurred largely in response to a worldwide warming of the oceans rather than as a direct response to increasing greenhouse gases (GHGs) over land.”

Alert: 2008 will be coolest year of the decade!- December 5, 2008 Excerpt: This year is set to be the coolest since 2000, according to a preliminary estimate of global average temperature that is due to be released next week by the Met Office. The global average for 2008 should come in close to 14.3C, which is 0.14C below the average temperature for 2001-07. [Note: For evidence of the panic apparently gripping the promoters of man-made climate fear, read the quotes in the article from the warming partisans absolutely assuring everyone that cool temperatures are “absolutely not" evidence that global warming is on the wane. Those same voices are usually absent when it comes to linking heat waves to global warming. ]

Geophysist: ‘It is time to file this theory in the dustbin of history’ – ‘Alarmists are in denial and running for cover'- Washington Times

By Geophysicist Dr. David Deming, associate professor of arts and sciences at the University of Oklahoma who has published numerous peer-reviewed research articles. Excerpt: Environmental extremists and global warming alarmists are in denial and running for cover. Their rationale for continuing a lost cause is that weather events in the short term are not necessarily related to long-term climatic trends. But these are the same people who screamed at us each year that ordinary weather events such as high temperatures or hurricanes were undeniable evidence of imminent doom. Now that global warming is over, politicians are finally ready to enact dubious solutions to a non-existent problem. […] To the extent global warming was ever valid, it is now officially over. It is time to file this theory in the dustbin of history, next to Aristotelean physics, Neptunism, the geocentric universe, phlogiston, and a plethora of other incorrect scientific theories, all of which had vocal and dogmatic supporters who cited incontrovertible evidence. Weather and climate change are natural processes beyond human control. To argue otherwise is to deny the factual evidence.

Climate Chancellor' No More– Der Spiegel Excerpt: Angela Merkel is facing withering criticism for remarks she made on Monday that seemed to back away from her earlier commitment to tackling climate change.

Alert: Under the Weather: Internal Report Says U.N. Climate Agency Rife With Bad Practices - Fox News – December 4, 2008

Excerpt: As more than 10,000 delegates and observers gather in Poznan, Poland, to discuss the next phase in the battle against "climate change," a U.N. agency at the center of that hoopla badly needs to do some in-house weather-proofing. […] But the WMO, the $80 million U.N. front-line agency in the climate change struggle, and the source for much of the world's information in the global atmosphere and water supply, has serious management problems of its own, despite its rapidly expanding global ambitions. The international agency has been sharply criticized by a U.N. inspection unit in a confidential report obtained by FOX News, for, among other things, haphazard budget practices, deeply flawed organizational procedures, and no effective oversight by the 188 nations that formally make up its membership and dole out its funds. The inspection was carried out by a member of the United NationsJoint Inspection Unit (JIU), a small, independent branch of the U.N. that reports to the General Assembly and is mandated to improve the organization's efficiency and coordination through its inspection process. […] WMO did not respond to a series of questions from FOX News regarding its future programs, sent on the eve of the Poznan meeting.

16-year-old suggests sheep dung can help save planet Card business has really dung good - Daily Post North WalesExcerpt: The company makes its products at the Twll Golau Papermill in Aberllefenni Slate Quarry using sustainable fuel and materials. Every sheet of paper is made from recycled materials, including sheep dung, waste paper and discarded rags, using processes designed to affect the natural environment as little as possible. […] Katie 16, from Tal-y-Bont, Conwy, was appointed to help spread the word on how Wales can reduce its carbon footprint and is urging other North Wales businesses to follow Creative Paper Wales’ example and adopt innovative approaches to the design and manufacture of products and the delivery of services.

Lord Christopher Monckton: 'Companies could be sued over climate change' Excerpt: The alarmist faction knows that, if it were to bring a case against a corporation whose executives were not minded merely to believe in the extremist presentation of "global warming" just because it is temporarily in fashion, they would lose. The case of Dimmock v. Secretaries of State for Education and for the Environment in the UK in 2007 was a very clear warning. The UK Government threw all of the resources of the taxpayer and of the Meteorological Office at the case, attempting to defend Al Gore's sci-fi comedy horror movie against the plaintiff's allegation that it was serially and seriously inaccurate. The Government failed and was humiliated. The judge, having heard both sides, said bluntly of Al Gore, and particularly of his unscientific allegation that sea level was about to rise by 20 feet, that "the Armageddon scenario that he depicts is not based on any scientific view". A few more judgments like that and the "global warming" fantasy would rapidly collapse. End of scare.

OOPS, We Forgot Siberia! (M4GW) - Weather Stations in Coldest parts No Longer Reporting

Excerpt: The thing that these skewed chart never take into account is that when the Soviet Union fell in 1990 the number of reporting weather stations went form a high of 15,000 in 1970 to 5,000 in 2000. This takes some of the coldest places on the planet out of the equation like Siberia.  # #

"Creative Visualization

"Creative Visualization

By: Shakti Gawain
Published: December 2008
Source Aquarius-Atlanta.com

"Creative Visualization is the technique of using your imagination to create what you want in your life. There is nothing at all new, strange, or unusual about creative visualization. You are already using it every day, every minute, in fact. It is your natural power of imagination, the basic creative energy of the universe, which you use constantly, whether or not you are aware of it.

To use creative visualization it is not necessary to believe in any metaphysical or spiritual ideas, though you must be willing to entertain certain concepts as being possible. It is not necessary to “have faith” in any power outside yourself.

The only thing necessary is that you have the desire to enrich your knowledge and experience, and an open enough mind to try something new in a positive spirit.

Four Basic Steps for Effective Creative Visualization

1. Set your goal

Decide on something you would like to have, work toward, realize, or create. It can be on any level — a job, a house, a relationship, a change in yourself, increased prosperity, a happier state of mind, improved health, beauty, a better physical condition, solving a problem in your family or community, or whatever.

At first, choose goals that are fairly easy for you to believe in, that you feel are possible to realize in the fairly near future. That way you won’t have to deal with too much negative resistance in yourself, and you can maximize your feelings of success as you are learning creative visualization. Later, when you have more practice, you can take on more difficult or challenging problems and issues.

2. Create a clear idea or picture

Create an idea, a mental picture, or a feeling of the object or situation exactly as you want it. You should think of it in the present tense as already existing the way you want it to be. Imagine yourself in that situation as you desire it, now. Include as many details as you can.

You may wish to make an actual physical picture of it as well, by making a treasure map. This is an optional step, not at all necessary, but often helpful (and fun!).

3. Focus on it often

Bring your idea or mental picture to mind often, both in quiet meditation periods, and also casually throughout the day, when you happen to think of it. In this way it becomes an integrated part of your life, and it becomes more of a reality for you.

Focus on it clearly, yet in a light, relaxed way. It’s important not to feel like you are striving too hard for it or putting an excessive amount of energy into it — that tends to hinder rather than help.

4. Give it positive energy

As you focus on your goal, think about it in a positive, encouraging way. Make strong positive statements to yourself: that it exists; that it has come or is now coming to you. See your-self receiving or achieving it. These positive statements are called “affirmations.” While you use affirmations, try to temporarily suspend any doubts or disbelief you may have, at least for the moment, and practice getting the feeling that what you desire is very real and possible.

Continue to work with this process until you achieve your goal, or no longer have the desire to do so. Remember that goals often change before they are realized, which is a perfectly natural part of the human process of change and growth. So if you lose interest it may mean that it’s time for a new look at what you want.

Get clear in your mind the fact that you are no longer focusing on your previous goal. End the cycle of the old, and begin the cycle of the new.

When you achieve a goal, be sure to acknowledge consciously to yourself that it has been completed. Often we achieve the things that we’ve been desiring and visualizing, and then forget to even notice that we have succeeded! So give yourself some appreciation and a pat on the back, and be sure to thank the universe for fulfilling your requests."

"Finding Personal Meaning - The Key to Happiness

Some more feel-good to hopefully make your week better.

Thank you for reading!

_____________

"Finding Personal Meaning - The Key to Happiness

By Kent M. Keith  07 Dec 2008
Source Dream Manifesto

"Each of us can be, and should be, deeply happy. What do I mean by “deep happiness”? I mean the kind of happiness that touches your spirit and connects with your soul. Some people call it self-fulfillment, or self-actualization, or being centered. Others call it living their passion, or following their bliss. For people of faith, it’s about finding the divine will for their lives, and then living that will.

Each of us should be deeply happy so that we will be at our best, and will be able to help others to be deeply happy and be at their best as well. When we experience deep happiness, we become more loving, more giving, more patient, more enthusiastic. We become a gift to others. So we should be deeply happy for their sake as well as ours.

Finding Personal Meaning Is the Key
We know from research, the teachings of our elders, and our own experience that finding personal meaning is a key to being deeply happy. If we want to be deeply happy, we have to focus on meaning.

This is not as easy as it sounds. Our culture promotes symbols of success that provide relatively little personal meaning. For example, power is a symbol of success, but there is more personal meaning in service than in power—more meaning in helping people than in ordering them around.

Wealth is a symbol of success, but there is more personal meaning in enjoying the richness of daily life, such as our families, friends, hobbies, and sunsets. Fame is a symbol of success, but there is more personal meaning in being known intimately by a few people rather than being known superficially by millions.

The symbols of success aren’t necessarily bad, they’re just not enough. They’re not enough if we want to find personal meaning and be deeply happy.

Where do people find meaning? They find it in their relationships with their families and friends. They find it in loving and helping others. They find it in doing their best, living their values, and doing what’s right.

The Paradoxical Commandments
The good thing about focusing on meaning is that we can always find it, even when times are tough. That’s the message of the Paradoxical Commandments that I wrote back in 1968, when I was 19, a college sophomore.

Here is what I wrote:

  1. People are illogical, unreasonable, and self-centered. Love them anyway.
  2. If you do good, people will accuse you of selfish ulterior motives. Do good anyway.
  3. If you are successful, you will win false friends and true enemies. Succeed anyway.
  4. The good you do today will be forgotten tomorrow. Do good anyway.
  5. Honesty and frankness make you vulnerable. Be honest and frank anyway.
  6. The biggest men and women with the biggest ideas can be shot down by the smallest men and women with the smallest minds. Think big anyway.
  7. People favor underdogs but follow only top dogs. Fight for a few underdogs anyway.
  8. What you spend years building may be destroyed overnight. Build anyway.
  9. People really need help but may attack you if you do help them. Help people anyway.
  10. Give the world the best you have and you’ll get kicked in the teeth. Give the world the best you have anyway.

The Paradoxical Commandments are guidelines for finding personal meaning in the face of adversity. The paradox is this: Even when things are tough - even when the world is crazy - we can still find personal meaning and deep happiness. We do that by facing the worst in the world with the best in ourselves. We do that by living a paradoxical life.

The Meaning Is in Our Inner Lives
The fact is that, as individuals, we can’t control the external world. We can’t control the world economy, and the rate of population growth. We can’t control the weather, or natural disasters like fires, floods, tsunamis, and hurricanes. We can’t control when terrorists may strike or wars may break out. We can’t control which companies will acquire which companies, and which jobs will be eliminated and which jobs will be created.

We can’t control what other teams will do, or who will get sick or injured, on other teams and our team. We can work hard, and prepare, and seize opportunities - we have to do that. We can join with others, and try to influence the external world - we ought to do that, too. But there are lots of things in our external world we just can’t control.

What we can control is our inner lives. We get to decide who we are going to be and how we are going to live. We can decide to live our most cherished values, and be close to our families and friends, and do what we know is right and good and true, no matter what. When we do, our lives become meaningful and we can find deep happiness.

The decision is ours. So why not be deeply happy?"

Abraham-Hicks Daily Quote

"  Is harmony one note that everybody is singing? Or is it a whole lot of notes that are in vibrational harmony with each other? When you give your attention to anything, the Universe responds to it. When two of you are giving your attention to it, and there is no contradiction, it is a powerful vortex. That's why a gathering such as this can achieve a great deal as you come together in greater and greater harmony and take thought beyond that which it has been before."
_____

"  When you find vibrational alignment with You, you personally thrive. You feel good; you look good; you have stamina; you have energy; you have balance; you have clarity; you have wit; you have abundance of all things that you consider to be good. You thrive in all ways when you come into Energy Balance with You. Vibrational Relativity—that's what it's all about."
______

"  I see myself in perfect health. I see myself in absolute prosperity. I see myself invigorated with life, appreciating, again, this physical life experience which I wanted so very much as I decided to be a physical Being. It is glorious to be here, a physical Being, making decisions with my physical brain but accessing the power of the Universe through the power of the Law of Attraction."
_______

"  You’re not ever going to teach them how to vibrate, nor would you want to change them all to a place of vibrating just like you. Your work is not to fix them; they are not broken. Your work is to choose from among all of that which feels best to you, and fixate on it as long as it gives you pleasure and joy. And in doing so, you will align with the Energy of your Source, and you will live a magnificent experience. You just have to not let your joy depend upon what anybody else is living, ‘cause that’ll get you every time."

"A New Approach to Igniting And Sustaining Creativity

"A New Approach to Igniting And Sustaining Creativity

By Anne Paris
Posted: 05 Dec 2008 10:34 AM CST
Source Dream Manifesto

"Mary squirmed in her chair as she continued, “I just don’t know what is wrong with me. Why can’t I just do it? I feel stressed all the time when I’m not writing. ‘I should be writing’, I say to myself, but I don’t. I think, if I just get the laundry done, then I’ll be free to sit down and write the next chapter. But then I don’t. Maybe I need to exercise first, and I go for a run.

I get back home, fully intending to sit down at the computer. But I don’t. And all the while I’m feeling bad and stressed about not writing. What is wrong with me? Maybe I’m just lazy. Or maybe unconsciously I don’t really want to write. Or maybe it just means that I’m not really cut out to be a writer. ‘Writers write’, I tell myself.

Through thousands of hours of psychotherapy with artists, I have found that most are quite familiar with the experience of being artistically blocked, or of procrastinating and avoiding their creative work. “If only I weren’t so distractible” or “I must not really want to succeed” are common complaints I’ve heard. These blocks can lead to non-productivity as well as to more serious problems such as depression and addictions.

Until now, most experts have offered behavioral strategies to help artists initiate and sustain their creative process: “set aside a time and place everyday for the creative endeavor” or “tell yourself you can do it” or “you must exercise a great deal of self-discipline.” Structure can certainly help artists to focus and to discipline their time. But many artists do not find the strength to overcome deeply embedded blocks with this advice. “If it were that easy, I’d do it,” they say.

New research in neuroscience and contemporary psychological approaches show that these strategies are only part of the answer. Revolutionary understandings in clinical psychology now suggest that healthy interpersonal relationships are the fuel for optimal emotional, cognitive, intellectual, behavioral, and creative functioning. Contrary to how we’ve been taught to value independence and autonomy, this new scientific evidence is showing that we are at our best when we are connected with others.

Applying these findings to the secret, internal world of the artist, the capacity to be creative is actually generated by the experience of connectedness with others. When we are feeling frightened or are lacking self-confidence and vitality, we need to look at the state of our relationships, rather than to blame ourselves for being weak and inadequate, or to think that we must somehow find strength and courage from deep within ourselves. We cannot create in a vacuum of isolation: we are helped along in the creative process by certain kinds of emotional support from others that help us to be at our best and to realize our full potentials.

When we shift our focus from searching within ourselves to reaching for healthy connections, we will be propelled through the creative process to complete a work of art.  To immerse into creativity, we need to feel strong, inspired, and comforted. Rather than existing as static “traits” in our selves, strength, inspiration, and comfort are generated in our relationships with mirrors, heroes, and twins:

Find Strength in Mirrors
An artist finds the strength to create through feeling special, recognized, and appreciated by others. Share your ideas and your work with others who are likely to appreciate your talents and your efforts. Allow yourself to “take in” this kind of psychological nourishment.  If you don’t have this kind of support, imagine it.

Find Inspiration in Heroes
An artist finds motivation and inspiration to create through admiring, respecting, and hoping to please a parent, teacher, mentor, or idol. Reach for connection with your “real life” hero or immerse in your idol’s work, ideas, or art.

Find Comfort in Twins
An artist finds comfort through the creative process by feeling understood and understandable by others who are in the same boat. Reach for connections with “like-kind” (for example, join a writer’s group, or take a painting class, or go to conferences, artist retreats, or galleries).  Share your hopes and dreads, triumphs and defeats, with these empathic others - they’ve been there - they understand.

Throughout a creative project, you are likely to grapple with core feelings of safety, trust, and hope. When you become aware of how your relationships with others (or lack of relationships) impact your ongoing sense of self, you can then try to elicit more of what you need to carry you through the myriad of emotions involved in the creative process.

It is not weak to need others.  In fact, being able to create and sustain mutual relationships is the key to our continued growth as artists and as individuals. In the end, it is not really how much willpower or discipline we have that determines our capacity to enter into a creative state. Standing at water’s edge, looking at the vast unknown and uncertainty involved in the creative process, it is our relationships with others that will empower or inhibit our dive."

Abraham-Hicks Daily Quote

"  Your life is right now! It's not later! It's not in that time of retirement. It's not when the lover gets here. It's not when you've moved into the new house. It's not when you get the better job. Your life is right now. It will always be right now. You might as well decide to start enjoying your life right now, because it's not ever going to get better than right now--until it gets better right now!"
_____

"  People say, "The joy is in the journey," but they rarely understand what they are saying. You are in this focused time/space reality with goals and objectives that call you because as you identify a desire it literally summons life through you. Life summoning through you is what it's all about, not the completion of anything."
_____

"  Within the seed of your desire is everything necessary for it to blossom to fulfillment. And Law of Attraction is the engine that does the work. Your work is just to give it a fertile growing place in order to expand."
_____

"  There is nothing that you're wanting to know that you do not have the capacity to understand fully. And there is nothing that you're wanting to know that the Universe does not already know that you want to know, and has already begun the process of answering. And so, go forth in excited anticipation that the new ideas will continue to bubble forth, and that the Universal Forces will continue to come forth in loving, benevolent, eternal answering to that which you are about. There is great love here for you. We are complete."

"The Power of Conscious Manifestation

Great article ... hope you enjoy!

"The Power of Conscious Manifestation

By David Neagle  December 2nd, 2008
Source Dream Manifesto

"Have you ever really desired something, but you were unsure as to how to get it?  More often than not, I receive questions from students as to “HOW” they should go about manifesting their desires.  Many say they want to learn HOW to manifest more money, deep passions, more business clients, relationships, financial freedom, adventurism and romanticism, better health, great < snip >, their life’s purpose & so on…, but just how do you get from point A to point B?

The short-cut to discovering the “Path of HOW” is to first look at why you’re asking yourself those questions in the first place. The truth is, this question originates from within an individual and is at the core of what he or she legitimately wants and is supposed to experience in his or her lifetime. “HOW” questions represent the root of a person’s passions.

By trying to determine how to achieve a particular goal, we’re actually drawing attention to what we really want. Think of it this way – if a person asks, “What can I do to reach my financial goals?” or “How do I find my soul-mate?” it’s a strong indicator that what the person really wants is financial freedom and a lifelong partner.

It’s great that you have identified your desires, but be cautious of the way in which you construct your questions, because it can lead you down a dead end road where you never reach your goals or fulfill your desires.

The KEY to getting what you want is to understand that you already possess the power and ability to manifest what you want to have and experience. For those of you that are students of the Law of Attraction, this idea requires that you now prepare yourself to step up and become even more aware of your true innate power on a much deeper level.

Attraction indicates separation between you and the thing you want. Rather than focus on attracting your desires (or drawing in an experience that is separate from you), it’s much faster to gain an understanding of the power of “Conscious Manifestation.” To do so, you must remove the idea of separateness, thus forgetting about attracting anything. Think of it instead as “Instant Creation.”

To really grasp the power of Conscious Manifestation, you MUST let go of an imaginary idea - the concept of time. Whether you realize it or not, you are instantly creating everything you are experiencing in your life right now. Your past and your future can only exist in your imagination and manifestation can only exist in the now. NOW is the only thing that is real, and because most people are afraid to fully experience “NOW,” they spend most of their lives living in the past or living in the future.

Next, you must let go of any judgment as to why you have created things you claim you don’t want. This can be difficult because people are taught to attach themselves to situations, results and people. When we judge, we not only squander the hours, but we energetically attach to the very thing we don’t want. We begin to see ourselves as that very thing. Learn to develop the skill of detaching from those experiences and become the “curious observer” who is objectively looking in at your life.

This is a higher level skill and will take some time to develop, but when you can do this on a consistent and regular basis, you become aware that you have stepped into your divine space. Now you understand that absolutely nothing stands in the way of you and your desires. In this space, there are no such things as obstacles, and you don’t have to try and figure out “HOW” you’re going to move from your current place to the desired outcome.

Did you know that this is the ONLY PLACE where we can come in contact with Truth? This is also the only place from which we can create our Divine Intention (or manifest our goals and heart’s passions). This is the place where we make Quantum Leaps!  Simply put, life becomes magical…

Many years ago, I set out on a journey to figure out how people achieved what they wanted in life. I, like many of you, was taught the power of affirmations. I spent years trying to reprogram my subconscious mind through constant and spaced repetition or emotional impact. But deep down I always wondered why this was necessary. If at a soul level we are perfect - we are God - then why do we need all of these silly tools to help us achieve our purpose and complete our life’s mission?

If you want to pick up the pace and be on the fast track to goal reaching, then learn to keep it simple. Just listen…there is a serene voice inside of you. One that is attempting to tell you what you really desire in life. You don’t need to spend hours shouting out affirmations for your aspirations to come in to fruition. You just need to follow the still, quiet voice inside of you. Just follow the nudges. Jumping through all those affirmation hoops is unnecessary. WHAT A RELIEF!

As you follow that voice, it naturally leads you to a place of “Instant Creation.”  You become one with the Divine side of yourself. The painful separation between you and your desires that was created by other people’s limiting beliefs vanishes. You realize anything you desire is at your command. Your life takes on new meaning.

When you awaken and become conscious of your manifesting capabilities, you realize that the Divine has NO limits and any limit you may perceive is self-imposed. So how do you know when you are in the place of Conscious Manifestation? What are the signs that you’ve arrived? Ultimately, you become aware of two simple things:

You are at Peace (with yourself and the world about you)
You Create the Actual Result (your goal, passion or desire has already been achieved)
If you are not manifesting what you want, the problem is not on some outside situation, person or source – the trouble is always you. If you experience only one of the two without the other, then you know you are not in this sacred space. For instance, if you have peace and no result, then you are hiding behind spirituality. You think you’re at peace, but you’re really not. The truth is, you have created an emotion that mimics peace, but it was created by the false self, the pain self, the ego self.

Many people hide in that place for years. Some have dropped their other addictions in life only to pick up and hide behind a new one called spirituality, God or religion. You might find that statement shocking, but it’s true! To hide behind these things is just as damaging and unhealthy as any other addiction.

What about the people that reach a goal, but they’re miserable? What about the millionaire that has plenty of money in the bank, but is dying inside? Unfortunately, I’ve worked with many women who have the idea that in order to reach their financial goals, then they must sacrifice their lives with their chosen partners and children.

Suffering from the internal turmoil that guilt and frustration brings, they are far from any true form of peace or serenity. They don’t understand that they can have both! If you relate to this on any level, then you’re not in the sacred space. You MUST have both true peace and the desired result AT THE SAME TIME.

Remember, a great master once said, “the truth will set you free.” If you’re not free – if you’re frustrated because you haven’t achieved your dreams – then you’re not in your truth. You still lack the knowledge of how powerful you truly are. Not only will you never experience genuine peace and serenity, but you’ll also never gain the satisfaction of living your passions and reaching your goals.  Sadly, most people on this planet die with deep regrets and without fulfilling their mission in life.

Now, if you are willing to trust in the unseen and step into this place of truth, you will discover the “Kingdom Within,” the “Straight Gate,” the “Gap” or any other metaphorical explanation used to describe how you experience your true self, God.

Here there are no “how-to” guides. There are no limits. Imagine a world where everything you desire comes to life. You have the ability to create your world.  It’s a place where your dreams really do come true. And it’s all yours when you make the decision to remaining open and willing. Stay in the now, trust in the unseen, listen to the quiet voice that echoes in the depths of you, follow your heart and continue to reveal your own power to yourself."

"  When you understand the Laws, then you understand that it is not more difficult to create a castle than it is a button. They are equal. It is not more difficult to create $10 million than $100,000. It is the same application of the same Law to two different intentions."

"  If we were standing in your physical shoes, that would be our dominant quest: Entertaining Yourself, pleasing Yourself, connecting with Yourself, being Yourself, enjoying Yourself, loving Yourself. Some say, "Well, Abraham you teach selfishness. And we say, yes we do, yes we do, yes we do, because unless you are selfish enough to reach for that connection, you don't have anything to give anyone, anyway. And when you are selfish enough to make that connection -- you have an enormous gift that you give everywhere you are."
____

"
Physical experience is the leading edge of thought. The furtherest extension of that thought. You are not at the beginning. You are here on the leading edge, living the manifestation of thought. And as you expose yourself to the contrast within the manifestation, you don new desires which then summons the Life Force."
____

"  You are joy, looking for a way to express. It’s not just that your purpose is joy, it is that you are joy. You are love and joy and freedom and clarity expressing. Energy—frolicking and eager—that’s who you are. And so, if you’re always reaching for alignment with that, you’re always on your path, and your path will take you into all kinds of places. We will not deny that you will not discover miracles and create benefits and be involved in creation, and that you will not uplift humanity…we will not say that you will not find satisfaction in so many things that you create, but we can’t get away from the acknowledgment that you are Pure Positive Energy that translates into the human emotion of joy."
______

"  There are no happier people on this planet than those who decide that they want something, define what they want, get hold of the feeling of it even before it's manifestation, and then joyously watch the unfolding, as piece by piece, by piece it begins to unfold. That's the feeling of your hands in the clay."

"Soul Currency - Invest Your Inner Wealth

"Soul Currency - Invest Your Inner Wealth

By Ernest D. Chu  October 13th, 2008
Source Dream Manifesto

"As a Wall Street investment banking executive for many years, I discovered the power of invested capital to create companies, build new industries like biotechnology and the Internet, and create billions in stock market value. But as a business and life coach and spiritual teacher, I realized that our greatest resource is the inner wealth that lies within us — our spiritual or inner qualities such as insight, intuition, vision, and so on. Learning how to awaken and invest this tremendous inner wealth will enable you to reach your goals, increase your income, and find deep personal fulfillment.

Many have heard Russell Conwell’s story Acres of Diamonds about the south Asian farmer who sold his rather rocky farmland to go elsewhere to make his fortune. This seemingly poor-quality farmland later turned out to be the Golconda diamond mine, one of the richest ever discovered. How many of us judge ourselves as not being special enough, not being smart enough, not knowing the right people, or not having what it takes?

Each of us is sitting on our own acres of diamonds, and we can choose to lament the cards that were dealt to us or to recognize that not only are we diamonds in the rough, but indeed, most of us are sitting on a huge treasure trove of inner assets that can be directly correlated to the material world.

Share with the World What Is Uniquely Yours
Each of us has many choices of how to create income. Most of us spend the majority of our waking time in work-related activities. If you look at work as simply an activity that generates a paycheck, then ultimately you will have to find meaning in other parts of your life. Do what you enjoy, but if you enjoy helping people, you don’t necessarily have to work in a not-for-profit company.

Recognize that the experience is more than just the work itself — what you bring to your work is a major part of it. When you begin to value yourself and what you have to offer, you will ultimately share with the world what is uniquely yours.

British author J. K. Rowling wrote the first Harry Potter book with the little savings she had and some public assistance. But her most valuable investment was her great imagination, her ability to paint pictures with words, and her vision of a fantasy world of muggles, wizards, and dragons. Many of Rowling’s friends and neighbors certainly had some doubts as to whether she ever would make any money as a writer.

Yet within ten years, Rowling’s unique Harry Potter brand, encompassing books, movies, and merchandise, was worth several billion dollars, representing a return on investment that dwarfed even those of the early shareholders of Microsoft.

Come from Your Strengths
When I was growing up, I was ashamed of the fact that I looked different from and was shorter than my classmates. What I would have given to have been six feet tall with blond hair and blue eyes rather than being five-foot-six and Chinese American. But when I went to Wall Street, one of the hottest fund managers was Gerald Tsai, a Chinese American who was born in Shanghai.

I discovered not only that it was okay to be Chinese but that there were quite a few advantages to it. I could walk into a crowded room, and while I might have some difficulty remembering everyone, most everyone would remember me. Also, I had inherited a solid work ethic, and one of my gifts was my ability to take in what might be an overwhelming amount of information and be able to not only sort it out but glean insights from it.

Steve Jobs, the founder of three great companies including Apple Computer and Pixar Studios, had the gift of being able to blend creativity with precision, and insight with imagination. Apple, which competed against giants like HP, Toshiba, Sony, and IBM, not only gained a substantial market share but built generations of loyal Apple users. It was the collective investment of the founding groups of both Apple and Pixar that created the inspiration for their products, the impetus for their funding, and the innovations that made them leaders in their industries.

Invest Your Soul Currency
When you use your inner assets and direct them with intention and focus, you need only add love in order to harness what I call spiritual capital, the essence of source energy. The feeling of love, which is the soul’s real currency, is more than a feeling of well-being; it is creative, connective, and transformative. When you invest your spiritual capital, the return on investment isn’t merely monetary; it opens up limitless possibilities.

Here’s an example: My good friend and mentor the late Jay Wells always looked for opportunities to help people. He made friends easily because he was interested in others. Those qualities helped him become a successful businessman. One day while recovering from a routine hospital procedure, Wells started talking to the nurses and other patients and asked why there weren’t any TVs in the hospital.

He was told that TVs were a luxury — there was one in each of the doctor’s lounges, but other than that, the hospital couldn’t afford them. He began by donating a few televisions to the hospital, and eventually this led to the formation of Wells National Services, a public company that became the leader in installing and renting bedside televisions to hospital patients.

Joel Roberts, one of this country’s top media coaches, is another example of investing soul currency. For more than fifteen years, Roberts was the feisty, sarcastic, and often deliberately controversial drive-time radio host of one of the top-rated stations in the country, Los Angeles–based KABC. A music aficionado , Roberts was at a concert standing near one of the huge speakers when it accidentally blew out, causing him to lose almost all of his hearing in one ear and more than 60 percent in the other.

After being at the top of his profession, he suddenly was unemployed. Or so he thought. Today Roberts helps authors, executives, salespeople, lawyers, publicists, and many others apply some of the same skills he used on the air, such as having a hard-hitting message, holding listener interest, and learning how to use news headlines to build a hook.

Living from Flow
Investing soul currency is much more powerful than simply investing money. Soul currency enables us to live from possibility rather than investing from fear and risk. From an open heart, we are able to share and to put ourselves in the flow of not only material prosperity but the deep fulfillment and inevitable right action that love always produces. The message we receive is one of greater connection — connection with those around us and with the collective good as well as a deep inner connection to Spirit that brings us fulfillment and a sense of greater purpose."
