"I mentioned taking responsibility, but did I mention being 100% responsible? Let me explain. Being 100% responsible is not about assigning blame to yourself. It is about putting the power back where it belongs - with you. The power is and always has been with you; you just temporarily misplaced it.

Being 100% responsible means that no matter what is happening and where you are in life, in the situations, circumstance and events - without exception - you are the one who has the power to transform them. Nobody else gets to say how you feel.

Your emotions are your business and yours alone. You choose every time how you interpret any situation and how you feel about it. You are the one, therefore, vibrationally emitting the signals. You will get more along the lines of what you predominantly think and feel about.  That is why it is so important to know how you feel about any situation.

Your unique emotional guidance system will let you know without fail every time where you weigh in on the scale of positive or negative emotion. And remember the Law of Attraction which states that like attracts like - the essence of that which is like itself is drawn - is a universal principle. It is operating whether you know about it, agree with it or not.

This is an attraction-based universe. That means that the expansion of the Universe  is based on what is added to thought, rather than deleted from. Therefore, there is no exclusion. You can't place your attention on the exclusion of something and have it disappear. The attention on it will cause it to expand in your experience.

Putting negative attention on or pushing against anything will cause more of it in your experience. This is an important point to grasp. You can never say "No" to something, trying to get it out of your experience, without attracting more of it. When you say "no", you are focusing your attention on "Not this". Put your attention on what is NOT wanted and you will get more of what is NOT wanted. "Get that out of my life," "Get rid of debt", "fight fat", etc." all puts the emphasis on what is NOT wanted.

As Jesus said: "Resist ye not evil," and for a good reason. You will attract exactly what it is you are resisting, whether it is weight gain, negative emotion, traffic jams, whatever. So for Star Trekkies, it takes on a new meaning when the Borg say: "Resistance is futile." Indeed.

Don't bother going into the head trip of asking the question "why". This is another ego subterfuge to keep you in your head using reason rather than using your emotional guidance system, which is always right on track informing you on whether you are attracting and allowing or keeping "what's missing (it's not here)" in place.

Victim or Victor?
Your heart is always your higher guidance, and you will get the answers you seek. You become the one who realizes that, for reasons perhaps unknown at this time, you created a circumstance which allows you to access more power, understanding, transformation, and healing.

There are no victims in the universe. The choice point comes for you to move through any unwanted situation, creating a whole new future for yourself and those around you. Family, friends, and associates will see with their own eyes how you, with grace and ease, moved into a new plane and wonder what you are up to. If they desire it, they will soon see that they can do the same. You become a model just by example of how to live life with deliberate intent.

From now on, when something unpleasant happens like an argument with a co-worker, a fender-bender, or losing your wallet, look at it as information telling you that you're out of balance with your higher intentions. You'll soon leave the negative self-chatter behind to find your life becoming an intentional creation. Soon you will be opening the door for your lover to walk through.

All of your relationships become a reflection of you. Take extra notice of every time a button gets pushed. That old knee-jerk response is running you. Be responsible that you have the ultimate choice on how you want to feel about what just happened. Break through wanting to give others that power over you and you will break free.

It is not always easy to look at yourself, but I do look and I do take 100% responsibility. I am a free woman. Nobody can make me feel anyway unless I choose it.

Victor Frankl, the renowned Austrian psychiatrist and Holocaust survivor who watched his entire family and friends perish said, "Everything can be taken away from man but one thing - to choose one's attitude in a given set of circumstances, to choose one's own way."

Can you imagine that as a survivor of a concentration camp, this is what he concluded? What a powerful perspective to operate from. Are you willing to take back your power and never give it away again?

I know that I am the only one who can rain on my own parade. I must admit that sometimes I do just that; but I am getting better and better at catching myself and speedily shifting to better feeling thoughts. I have adopted the credo "nothing is more important than that I feel good." Abraham-Hicks taught me that and I use it often. That is when I know I am locked on to my guidance system and Source energy.

So are you waiting for your dream lover to come to you? Instead of waiting, get busy creating.  In short, to create the relationship of your dreams, you need a new model. The old ones have not served you and there is something stuck in your vibration that keeps recreating the same kind of relationship - over and over again. And remember, the common denominator is you!"

"  So the big question is, "Well, do I just dump all those unwanted things and try to start fresh?" And we say, no. You just set the Tone, where you are, by looking for things to appreciate. And by setting your Tone in a very clear deliberate way, anything that doesn't match it gravitates out of your experience, and anything that does match it gravitates into your experience. It is so much simpler than most of you are allowing yourself to believe."

"  Whatever you are giving your attention to is already vibrating. And when you give your attention to it, if you maintain your focus for as little as 17 seconds, you begin to include its vibration, whatever it is, in your vibration. When you see something you want, and you give it your attention, and you say yes to it, you are including whatever its vibration is in your vibration. When you see something you do not want, and you shout no at it, you are including whatever its vibration is in your vibration. In this vibrational world, which is everything, you are far more vibrational beings than you are verbal beings. You are communicating with everyone far more on a vibrational basis, than you are on a verbal basis."

________

"Your Habits in Life - The Answer to Permanent Change

By Tania Kotsos   January 12th, 2009
Source Dream Manifesto

"We are all creatures of habit. Everything we repeatedly do, say and think is as a direct result of our entrenched habits. Habits are those actions or reactions which are on auto-pilot, which we do without consciously having to think about them. The success you enjoy in your life, or the lack thereof, is directly related to the nature of your habits while your habits are the product of your beliefs. To enjoy permanent, positive change in your life, you must change your negative beliefs and their associated habits.

Your Life is a Habit
When you examine your daily routine, you will find that most of what you do, say and think on a daily basis is habitual. From the moment you wake up in the morning, your physical and mental routine is already in place and you faithfully follow it with little or no conscious consideration. This applies to all areas of your life. The general state of your relationships reflects your social habits; that of your health and body reflects your eating and exercise habits; that of your bank account reflects your business and money habits and so it goes on. Your habits either serve you or they don't. They either take you toward your desired outcome or away from it.

Your Habits are the Product of Your Beliefs
Every single one of your thoughts is coloured by your beliefs. You perceive and experience life in accordance with your beliefs. Your actions and words reflect your beliefs. When you believe a certain thing about yourself or anything or anyone, you act, speak and think accordingly. Ultimately, you are what you believe you are. Know that your habits are the children of your beliefs. You cannot expect to permanently change a negative habit into a positive one if its underlying belief remains negative. To successfully and permanently transform your bad habits into positive ones, you must also change your beliefs.

The Chicken or the Egg
Once your habits are firmly in place they serve to reaffirm your beliefs such that it may become difficult to distinguish the parent from the child. Most people try to establish new habits without dealing with the underlying negative belief and so, more often than not, find themselves resorting back to their old habits. In so doing, they lose weeks and even months of concerted effort and usually become discouraged and give up on their hopes of changing their negative habits, not realising that the underlying negative belief is the source of their failed attempt.

Why Diets Fail - An Example
The only reason most diets fail is because the dieter has a negative underlying belief that goes unchecked. If the dieter has a belief such as "I am fat", then no health or exercise regime will be met with permanent success if that belief remains intact. Sooner or later he or she will take actions to fulfill that negative belief again - they have to because it is their belief. Ironically, even the decision to go on a diet is a fulfillment of the negative "I am fat" belief although it may appear to be a genuine attempt at losing weight. Remember, slim people need not diet.

Align Your Beliefs with Your Habits
While it cannot be ruled out that persistently changing a habit can ultimately lead to a change in the original underlying belief, trying to create a positive habit in the face of a negative belief takes great amounts of will power and success is not guaranteed. To the contrary, once you change the belief associated with the negative habit, then lasting changes in your habits come far more easily. In other words, creating a new, positive habit requires little or no will power when the underlying belief is working with it rather than against it.

There is No Need to Wait
While it is important to change your underlying negative beliefs, you do not have to wait to change them before creating your new, positive habits. Working on the two together is in fact preferable as it speeds up the process. The emphasis here is to change the negative belief, not to wait before changing the habit. Change the two together and success will quickly be yours. Using the example of the dieter, changing his or her underlying belief from "I am fat" to "I am healthy and slim" while at the same time systematically adopting new healthy eating and exercise habits that reflect the new belief, is the surest if not the only route to permanent success.

You Were Not Born With Your Habits
We were all born with a clean habit-slate. Both your "good" and "bad" habits were created from the beliefs that you adopted through your interactions with your teachers, peers, parents and society in general. Without consciously choosing your beliefs and hence your habits, you effectively leave yourself and your life in the hands of general social conditioning. There is no need to allocate blame for your habits or your beliefs - in fact that would only serve to further entrench them. All you need to do is consciously choose those habits that serve you and eliminate those that fail you by changing your beliefs. It is never too late to change.

Habits Inhabit the Subconscious Mind
Everything that you habitually do, say or think today, started off as a single action or thought which was repeated often enough until it was passed down to your subconscious mind where it became a habit. All habits reside at the subconscious level of your mind where you no longer have to consciously think about them. Therefore, in order to permanently change your habits you must learn to programme and re-programme your beliefs at the subconscious level.

Using Creative Visualization to Change Your Reality
The most effective and practical way to consciously access and programme your subconscious mind for success is through creative visualization. It is the fundamental technique underlying reality creation. To put it simply, you can change any negative belief by repeatedly visualizing yourself feeling and experiencing the new positive belief and imagining yourself effortlessly repeating the actions which you desire to become your habits and are aligned with that belief. You will soon find that your actions and thoughts in your day-to-day waking life begin to reflect your new beliefs until such time that they too become habitual in nature.

Your Will Power is Your Guide
You will know to what degree your underlying negative beliefs have been replaced by gauging how much will power you have to use. Any time you find yourself having to use significant amounts of will power to do something positive that you know serves your desired outcome, then there is probably still a major conflict between your actions and an underlying negative belief. Anything you do or say that is aligned with your beliefs, whether "positive" or "negative", requires very little will power and is effortless.

This is not to say that some or even great amounts of will power will not be necessary at the beginning of your efforts to change your negative beliefs and adopt new, positive habits. However, will power is the domain of the conscious mind whereas your aim is to transform your actions into habits of the subconscious mind, which is the domain that knows nothing of will power and needs nothing of the sort to carry out its actions.

Habits Are Intended to Serve You
The fact that you can repeat a task often enough until you can perform it with no longer having to consciously think about it, is testament to your mind power. This ability frees up your conscious mind to continuously process and learn new information that serves your success until the associated actions become habitual and so the process can be repeated. Having said this, most people are inadvertently at the service of their beliefs and habits because they never consciously chose them in the first place. Your beliefs are yours to choose and your habits are yours to create. Resolve now to make your habits serve you and your success. Ultimately, you have the power to create your ideal life.

No words capture the relationship between your beliefs, your habits and your destiny as precisely as those of Mahatma Gandhi:

"Your beliefs become your thoughts, Your thoughts become your words, Your words become your actions, Your actions become your habits, Your habits become your values, Your values become your destiny."

In a nutshell, we are all habitual creatures. The state of your life is largely a reflection of those actions, words and thoughts which you repeat without any conscious involvement on your part. In other words, your life is a reflection of your habits and your habits are a product of your beliefs. Most people try to change their negative habits with no consideration for the underlying negative belief and so meet with little permanent success. By reprogramming your beliefs at the subconscious level, you give yourself the freedom to create new habits that effortlessly add to your success and to eliminate those that don't."

"How to Get Lucky

Mercury went retrograde yesterday, will remain so until Feb 1. A good time to complete unfinished business, also make sure you're very clear in how you communicate with people because what you say may not be understood clearly by others and vice versa.  For a full description check here:   http://www.astrologycom.com/mercret.html

Now back to some feel good stuff!

_________

"How to Get Lucky
Scientific proof that you make your own breaks.
By Richard Wiseman
From Reader's Digest

"For centuries, people have recognized the power of luck and have done whatever they could to try seizing it. Take knocking on wood, thought to date back to pagan rituals aimed at eliciting help from powerful tree gods. We still do it today, though few, if any, of us worship tree gods. So why do we pass this and other superstitions down from generation to generation? The answer lies in the power of luck.

Live a Charmed Life
To investigate scientifically why some people are consistently lucky and others aren't, I advertised in national periodicals for volunteers of both varieties. Four hundred men and women from all walks of life -- ages 18 to 84 -- responded.

Over a ten-year period, I interviewed these volunteers, asked them to complete diaries, personality questionnaires and IQ tests, and invited them to my laboratory for experiments. Lucky people, I found, get that way via some basic principles -- seizing chance opportunities; creating self-fulfilling prophecies through positive expectations; and adopting a resilient attitude that turns bad luck around.

Open Your Mind

Consider chance opportunities: Lucky people regularly have them; unlucky people don't. To determine why, I gave lucky and unlucky people a newspaper, and asked them to tell me how many photos were inside. On average, unlucky people spent about two minutes on this exercise; lucky people spent seconds. Why? Because on the paper's second page -- in big type -- was the message "Stop counting: There are 43 photographs in this newspaper." Lucky people tended to spot the message. Unlucky ones didn't. I put a second one halfway through the paper: "Stop counting, tell the experimenter you have seen this and win $250." Again, the unlucky people missed it.

The lesson: Unlucky people miss chance opportunities because they're too busy looking for something else. Lucky people see what is there rather than just what they're looking for.

This is only part of the story. Many of my lucky participants tried hard to add variety to their lives. Before making important decisions, one altered his route to work. Another described a way of meeting people. He noticed that at parties he usually talked to the same type of person. To change this, he thought of a color and then spoke only to guests wearing that color -- women in red, say, or men in black.

Does this technique work? Well, imagine living in the center of an apple orchard. Each day you must collect a basket of apples. At first, it won't matter where you look. The entire orchard will have apples. Gradually, it becomes harder to find apples in places you've visited before. If you go to new parts of the orchard each time, the odds of finding apples will increase dramatically. It is exactly the same with luck.

Relish the Upside

Another important principle revolved around the way in which lucky and unlucky people deal with misfortune. Imagine representing your country in the Olympics. You compete, do well, and win a bronze medal. Now imagine a second Olympics. This time you do even better and win a silver medal. How happy do you think you'd feel? Most of us think we'd be happier after winning the silver medal.

But research suggests athletes who win bronze medals are actually happier. This is because silver medalists think that if they'd performed slightly better, they might have won a gold medal. In contrast, bronze medalists focus on how if they'd performed slightly worse, they wouldn't have won anything. Psychologists call this ability to imagine what might have happened, rather than what actually happened, "counter-factual" thinking.

To find out if lucky people use counter-factual thinking to ease the impact of misfortune, I asked my subjects to imagine being in a bank. Suddenly, an armed robber enters and fires a shot that hits them in the arms. Unlucky people tended to say this would be their bad luck to be in the bank during the robbery. Lucky people said it could have been worse: "You could have been shot in the head." This kind of thinking makes people feel better about themselves, keeps expectations high, and increases the likelihood of continuing to live a lucky life.

Learn to Be Lucky

Finally, I created a series of experiments examining whether thought and behavior can enhance good fortune.

First came one-on-one meetings, during which participants completed questionnaires that measured their luck and their satisfaction with six key areas of their lives. I then outlined the main principles of luck, and described techniques designed to help participants react like lucky people. For instance, they were taught how to be more open to opportunities around them, how to break routines, and how to deal with bad luck by imagining things being worse. They were asked to carry out specific exercises for a month and then report back to me.

The results were dramatic: 80 percent were happier and more satisfied with their lives -- and luckier. One unlucky subject said that after adjusting her attitude -- expecting good fortune, not dwelling on the negative -- her bad luck had vanished. One day, she went shopping and found a dress she liked. But she didn't buy it, and when she returned to the store in a week, it was gone. Instead of slinking away disappointed, she looked around and found a better dress -- for less. Events like this made her a much happier person.

Her experience shows how thoughts and behavior affect the good and bad fortune we encounter. It proves that the most elusive of holy grails -- an effective way of taking advantage of the power of luck -- is available to us all. "

"Bernard L. Madoff: International Financial Terrorist

Not an article of inspiration whatsoever, I stumbled on this assessment of Bernard Madoff the ponzi scheme investment broker.  His actions are mind boggling.  What?  What?  What?

"Bernard L. Madoff: International Financial Terrorist

"When is a terrorist a terrorist? We seem to use the term so loosely that we have forgotten in this world maze of conflicts that the word 'terrorism' has a very specific connotation and that the concept of a "War on Terror" is of itself an oxymoron. So what do I mean when I identify someone as a 'terrorist'? Over a thirty year career under Presidents Nixon, Ford, Carter, Reagan, Bush Sr. as the principal hostage negotiator [ over five hundred hostages saved], senior counter-terrorist expert and the creator of the USA policy of 'no-negotiations with terrorists',  I have a very clear set of criteria for declaring someone as a 'terrorist' and quite frankly Bernard L. Madoff the Ponzi Swindler of the 21 st century fits those psychological and economic criteria for judging him in the criminal court system as an "International Financial Terrorist'. As a Harvard-trained board certified psychiatrist and a past board examiner in psychiatry and neurology, I can easily diagnose Madoff as a 'sociopath' who has deep feelings of 'self-hatred as a Jew" and needs to seek revenge against those whom he despises/envies by having created a vitriolic fifty billion dollar ponzi scheme  against myriads of innocent Jewish individuals, charities, universities, country clubs, high schools and charities. However simply putting a psychiatric label on him no matter what it is quite frankly is not sufficient or necessary. For the most part the ordinary individual in the street reflectively calls him 'crazy' which by the way he is not in any legitimate psychiatric sense.  He is neither delusional, psychotic and he admitted outright that 'he was the sole responsible individual" of this Ponzi scheme disingenuously attempting to exonerate his sons and other family members. So the normal mental health exam cannot in any way exonerate him for the responsibility that he bears for his directed destructive consequences. Yes, I did say 'directed'. Like most terrorists groups and particularly terrorist leaders who by the way like myself were practicing physicians [ Bahsir Assad of Syria , an opthamologist; El Zwahiri, Osama's right hand man is an internist; the three heads of Hamas were pediatricians, Che Guevera was a surgeon; Karadzic the Serbian leader of ethnic cleansing was a psychiatrist, etc]   he stole from and destroyed from a 'targeted' group of individuals who had [1] money to invest;[2] belonged to an ethnic group which he knew well both their psychology, their patterns of investment behavior and were for the most part in the world of international finances 'innocent. Secondly, like any effective terrorist, Madoff consciously used an instruments of destruction which like the IED, or  explosives could create fear, terror, eliminate both the financial and emotional underpinning of innocent individual as well as facilitate the destruction of major civilian institutions like charities, universities, high schools, country clubs, all the while sitting on their board and directing the future of these aforementioned 'targets'. In the jargon of terrorism we call the aforementioned entities 'targets of opportunity'. Much like a terrorist group will often target a busload of innocent children going to school and hold them hostage for ransom or eventually kill them, Madoff did the EXACT technique of cultivating his 'targets of opportunity' systematically, deliberately, and even facilitated their demise [whether individual or collective] by encouraging them through constant use of deception, betrayal and very deliberate lies to invest in his 'deadly instrument of terror' called 'the Ponzi scheme'. Why was this instrument so deadly to any and all individuals and institutions that invested in it is because by it's very nature Madoff and his accomplices [including his extensive family network in the USA and abroad] was a self-destructive instrument that could never legitimately return the rates and base principles of money that had been invested in it from the very beginning. In other words whatever Madoff promised was completely irrelevant because he knew that he would eventually 'destroy the investment' and 'destroy the individuals/institutions livelihood. Thirdly, this analogy is very similar to the modus operandi of all the hundreds of terrorists with whom I have worked against including Arafat, Habash, PLO, PFLP, JRA, FARC, M-19, Noriega, Pol Pot, etc.  where the  terrorist first takes a hostage. In Madoff's case he 'targeted innocent individual/groups' held them 'hostage' through their investments and then literally 'pulled the trigger' and 'killed them financially' through a self-exploding financial instruments. And like all terrorists, he never had a moment of remorse, guilt and even continued to solicit more innocent victims right to the very end of his own admission of  'financial terrorism". The victims were killed and he sent out his 'terrorist cells' to recruit more 'innocent hostages' for his 'final solution' to the ethnic group which he had specifically targeted. Fourthly, like all effective international terrorist groups Madoff had recruited family members and others from all over the world in order to maintain the viability of both his terrorist organization called the 'Madoff Fund' through other worldwide 'terrorist cells' innocently called The Fairfield Greenwich Group exposure $7.5billion, led by Walter M. Noel and Jeffery Tucker [a former  S.E.C. lawyer]. Also involved in this extensive 'worldwide terrorist organization' were the four Noel Family son-in-laws of Madoff--Andres Piedrhahita based in Madrid and London; Yako Della Schiava, Italy and France; Philip J. Taub, Switzerland, Brazil and the Middle East. The Noel 'terrorist family cell' destroyed the following individuals an institutions : Korea Life Insurance, Abu Dhabi Investment Authority; The Town of Fairfield, Conn. ; and the Elie Wiesel Foundationa for Humanity. Clearly the list of 'targets of opportunity' is quite extensive including the Palm Beach Country Club in Florida.; the country club in the Twin Cities; Yeshiva University; Ramaz; Hadassah, etc. Simply stated NO EXTREME MUSLIM GROUP COULD HAVE DONE MORE DAMAGE TO INNOCENT JEWISH CIVILIANS AND INSTITUTIONS THAN THE TERRORIST BERNARD L. MADOFF. So what are 'terroriist techniques did he use to lure his victims into their final demise? Always remember that emotional/psychological manipulations can be as deadly as a shot from a gun. In the parlance of terrorism we call his techniques 'psychological warfare", much like the Al Qaeda group does all over the world. First he denies the truth. Then he distorts the truth by convincing individuals that they will be 'safe' in their investments'. Then he betrays them and manipulates their trust to such incredible degree that he made certain that he and his wife [also an accomplice as well as his sons]  sat on many of the boards which had invest in his 'terrorist Ponzi Scheme', maintaining the self-sustaining illusion that he and his family were legitimate, honest and trustworthy while all the time clearly constructing the financial demise of this 'financial hostages'. Madoff even went so far in his psy-ops campaign as to appear on USA television last year to assure the viewers that the clearly incompetent SEC and it's pathetic 'counter-terrorists' were outstanding examples of 'trustworthiness and financial and investigative prowess, all the while knowing that he had literally 'penetrated' through 'operatives' and 'business intelligence' their weakness and incompetentcy. In summary what the Madoff case present is the first of its kind of eliminating any psychiatric defense of insanity or mitigating circumstances and of trying this 'international financial terrorist' according to the laws designated specifically for prosecuting 'terrorists' who have committed 'acts of terror'. Anything less than that approach will be at best a travesty of justice and at worse an encouragement to other potential 'international individual/institutional terrorists' to pursue their inevitable destiny of maim and destruction of innocent lives and institutions."

"Chunk-Down that Goal and Get Out of Overwhelm

"Chunk-Down that Goal and Get Out of Overwhelm

By Jack Canfield  November 7th, 2008

Source Dream Manifesto

"Sometimes our biggest life goals seem so overwhelming. We rarely see them as a series of small, achievable tasks, but in reality, breaking down a large goal into smaller tasks-and accomplishing them one at a time-is exactly how any big goal gets achieved.

After you have decided what you really want, with specific deadlines, the next step is to determine all of the individual action steps you will need to take to accomplish your goal.

How to Chunk It Down
There are several ways to figure out the action steps you will need to take to accomplish any goal. One is to consult with people who have already done what you want to do and ask what steps they took. From their experience, they can give you all of the necessary steps as well as advice on what pitfalls to avoid.

Another way is to purchase a book or manual that outlines the process.

Yet another way is to start from the end and look backward. You simply close your eyes and imagine that it is now the future and you have already achieved your goal. Then just look back and see what you had to do to get to where you now are. What was the last thing you did? And then the thing before that, and then the thing before that, until you arrive at the first action you had to start with.

Remember that it is okay not to know how to do something.

It's okay to ask for guidance and advice from those who do know. Sometimes you can get it free, and sometimes you have to pay for it. Get used to asking, "Can you tell me how to go about...?" and "What would I have to do to...?" and "How did you...?"

Keep researching and asking until you can create a realistic action plan that will get you from where you are to where you want to go.

What will you need to do? How much money will you need to save or raise? What new skills will you need to learn? What resources will you need to mobilize? Who will you need to enroll in your vision? Who will you need to ask for assistance? What new disciplines or habits will you need to build into your life?

Another valuable technique for creating an action plan for your goals is called mind mapping.

How to Use Mind Mapping
Mind mapping is a simple but powerful process for creating a detailed to-do list for achieving your goal. It lets you determine what information you'll need to gather, who you'll need to talk to, what small steps you'll need to take, how much money you'll need to earn or raise, which deadlines you'll need to meet, and so on-for each and every goal.

When I began creating my first educational audio program-a breakthrough goal that led to extraordinary gains for me and my business-I used mind mapping to help me "chunk down" that very large goal into all the individual tasks I would need to complete to produce a finished product.

To mind-map your own goals, follow these steps as illustrated in the example:

Center circle: In the center circle, jot down the name of your stated goal-in this case, Create an Audio Educational Program.

Outside circles: Next, divide the goal into the major categories of tasks you'll need to accomplish to achieve the greater goal-in this case, Title, Studio, Topics, Audience, and so on.

Spokes: Then, draw spokes radiating outward from each mini-circle and label each one (such as Write Copy, Color Picture for Back Cover, and Arrange Lunch.)

On a separate line connected to the minicircle, write every single step you'll need to take. Break down each one of the more detailed task spokes with action items to help you create your master to-do list.

Next, Make a Daily To-Do List
Once you've completed a mind map for your goal, convert all of the to-do items into daily action items by listing each one on your daily to-do lists and committing to a completion date for each one. Then schedule them in the appropriate order into your calendar and do whatever it takes to stay on schedule.

Do First Things First
The goal is to stay on schedule and complete the most important item first. In his excellent book, < snip >, Brian Tracy reveals not just how to conquer procrastination but also how to prioritize and complete all of your action items.

In his unique system, Brian advises goal-setters to identify the one to five things you must accomplish on any given day, and then pick the one you absolutely must do first. This becomes your biggest and ugliest frog.

He then suggests you accomplish that task first-in essence, eat that frog first-and, by so doing; make the rest of your day much, much easier. It's a great strategy. But unfortunately, most of us leave the biggest and ugliest frog for last, hoping it will go away or somehow become easier. It never does. However, when you accomplish your toughest task early in the day, it sets the tone for the rest of your day.

By chunking down your goals, and then taking daily action on them, you create momentum and build your confidence, both of which move you farther and faster toward the achievement of your goals.

Now go take some action!"

"The Dogma for Success - Be a Dog with a Bone

Have a great one everyone! Sun Smiley

"The Dogma for Success - Be a Dog with a Bone

By Peggy McColl  January 6th, 2009
Source Dream Manifesto

"There are those who work like a dog to make things happen, there are those who watch things happen, and then there are those who wonder what happened. Be the person who makes things happen.

Sometimes you have to work like a dog. If you want to be extraordinary, you must do the things that ordinary people are not willing to do.

Success does not occur through merely wishing for success. But it also doesn't occur through force. Trying to force success to happen, or getting incredibly frustrated when things are not happening exactly the way you would like, demonstrates an unawareness of the perfection of the universe.

Many years ago, I worked as a marketing manager in a division of a large international corporation. The company announced that it planned to merge my division with two other divisions. I could see the writing on the wall-the manager of one of the other divisions had much more seniority than I did. Rather than waiting to be squeezed out, I decided that I would set my own direction and work for a new division. I had been eyeing a division that was working with the latest and greatest in technology, called "Smart Technology."

I walked over to the other side of the building where it was located, and I borrowed a business card of one of the employees.  I wanted to get the vision of working for that division, so I removed his name from the business card and replaced it with mine.  It was my "bone," my desire was to work in that division.

An interesting thing happened: even though I was not pursuing his job, the guy I took the business card from ended up getting fired and I was hired to replace him.  Now, I don't think for a minute that he lost his job because of what I did, but isn't it amazing that when you're focused on a goal (a bone), things can happen in the most unusual ways?

All things are happening for a reason, and if you attempt to understand why everything is happening as it's happening, or understand why things have happened the way they have, you may meet with frustration.

Sometimes it is necessary to "let go" or, as has been said, "let go and let God." But letting go and letting God does not mean that you can sit back and wish for things to happen and not do anything about it. On the contrary, you do have a responsibility for what is going to show up for you in your life.

Creating success in your life is aligning all of the factors for success in a fashion that will produce your desired results, not the results someone else desired for you, but what you truly desire for yourself.

What are those factors? Depending on the outcome you are seeking, you'll create your own formula based on what you want to produce. There are, however, some fundamental ingredients that will be required, such as: passion, integrity, determination, focus, optimism, faith, a positive attitude, awareness, decision, commitment and love.

There is no single dog training program that will work for all dogs, just as there isn't one that will work for all humans. All dogs and all humans are unique.

What brings out the best in your dog is an understanding of your dog's individuality. The same applies to humans. For you to bring out the best in you, you need to understand yourself. Make it a study to really understand yourself: your behaviors, your habits, your areas of focus, your daily rituals, your choices and your unique talents. Become acutely aware of what you are creating in your life and discover the methods of turning your talents into the strengths that will in turn transform your goals into concrete manifestations.

If you want to be successful, find someone who is already successful and follow them around like a puppy dog. Success breeds success. Modeling another person's success will significantly reduce your time to reach success. Why? These "models" have already been there. They have learned the lessons. They have learned what to do and, more importantly, what not to do. Follow their example, but make it your own. Don't be a copy cat.

Enhance your own success by customizing the success techniques of another to suit your goals. Once you have done that, look for ways to improve these techniques for yourself."

"Finding Big Love Is Possible At Any Age

Great article containing sound manifesting principles for anything you want to bring into your life.  Hope you enjoy!  Big Grin

_______

"Finding Big Love Is Possible At Any Age

By Arielle Ford   January 5th, 2009
Source Dream Manifesto

"Is it your dream to find a soul mate?  A life-partner who will love, cherish and adore you? As someone who didn't meet and marry my soul mate until I was 44, I learned a lot along the way about what does and doesn't work in the world of love and romance.

Here's what I know for sure: finding true love is possible for any one at any age if you're willing to prepare your self, on all levels, to become a magnet for love.

This wonderful Universe of ours is set up to deliver the people and things we draw to us that our consistent with our personal belief system.  If you don't believe you will ever find the ONE, then, guess what?  You get to be right ...you probably won't.

If, however, you learn to believe that the ONE is not only out there but is ALSO LOOKING FOR YOU, then true love can be yours.

When I was in my early forties I decided to manifest my soulmate using everything I had ever learned about manifestation, psychology, spirituality, and the Law of Attraction.  My intentions became crystal clear while I simultaneously cleared out the clutter in my house AND in my heart.  I learned and invented techniques, rituals, visualizations and prayers that helped me prepare my body, mind, spirit and home for an amazing relationship.  And they worked. I met my husband, Brian, who has exceeded all of my desires and expectations. He was and is everything I ever wished for.

What if I told you that it's not your job to know HOW your soul mate is going to appear? What if I told you it's only your job to be ready, willing and open to love. Think about it this way: you really don't know where air comes from but you do believe that it's always there for you, right?

The same is true for love.  It's there for you.  It's always been there for you.  You just need to remember the love that you are and once you do, the Universe will deliver to you the perfect soul mate.

The basic Law of Attraction states that you will attract to you those things that match your state of belief. Believing that your soul mate is out there is critical to the preparation of manifestation.

I believe that the Universe is always mirroring back to us our beliefs about our selves and the world.  If we believe the world is a loving and friendly place, then most of the time that will be our experience. But, if we believe the world is a chaotic, stressful and fearful place, then that becomes our reality.  So, believing and knowing that your soul mate is out there is the most important part of the formula.

Prior to meeting Brian ten years ago, I had a daily ritual in which I would light several candles at sunset, put on my favorite CD of Gregorian chants and sit in my big, cozy chair.  With my eyes closed I would drop into the feeling of remembering the joy of having my soul mate in my life.  I would experience these wonderful feelings in every part of my body KNOWING that he was on the way. There were days when the thought that he was very late did cross my mind but I would just let those thoughts go and get back into a state of grace....feeling and knowing that his arrival was assured.

To manifest your soul mate here are the ten top things to do and remember:

    * Be the loving person that you are. Find ways to express more love to everyone in your life.
    * Live in the knowingness that you are in a loving, committed relationship.
    * Live that truth every day as you savor the waiting for your beloved to arrive.
    * Create a "vision map" of your romantic vision and look at it daily.
    * Write a list of the most important qualities your soul mate will possess.
    * Heal your heart of any past hurts that will prevent you from magnetizing big love.
    * Clear out the clutter in your home and create space for your beloved (especially in your closets).
    * Create an altar in the relationship corner of your home.
    * Listen to your intuition to take action when opportunities present themselves.
    * Fall in love with yourself. Know that you are loveable.

Big love is possible for any one of any age if you are willing to become a magnet for love.  Continue to live each day in the knowingness that you are in a loving, committed relationship as you savor the waiting for your beloved to arrive."

"Why Do Dogs Stick Their Heads Out Of Windows?

"Guest: I kind of promised I wouldn't ask this question. (I've mentioned it to people and they said, "Oh, don't.") But, this is a quick one: Why do dogs risk getting bugs in their eyes by sticking their heads out of car windows?

Abraham: Well, tell your friends that you have given us an opportunity to give the answer we have been waiting a very long time to give. And that is, because the contrast of the bugs in the eyes is a small price to pay for the exhilaration of that ride. And it is exactly the same way you felt when you made the decision to come into this physical existence. You knew there would be contrast here, but you said, the ride is going to be worth it!  "

"There is No Value In Suffering

"There is something in most of you that says "I don't think I should allow it to be absolutely easy because a part of me seems to want to justify my Well-Being by a little bit of struggle... as if it's not right for me to have any great success without, at least, a little bit of suffering." And we say, no suffering is of any value.

You don't have to go the hard way to things, but you do have to go from wherever you are. If one good thing happens today and a hundred bad things, talk about that good thing a thousand times--and talk not about any of the bad things. Play the good-feeling things over and over in your mind--emphasize everything that feels good.

The Universe has understood the things you have been asking for and is answering perfectly. And if you won't work to orchestrate the how and where and when, and who, but instead work to be in the receiving mode--as you practice rampages of appreciation, and as you collect fun things and beautiful things and use them to become an Ambassador of Well-Being -- the things you have been asking for will unfold in a continuum of extraordinary life experience. Those who don't yet know what you now know will stand flabbergasted as they see the stunning unfolding of your life experience. You've just got to get happy--that's all it takes."

______

"Money, and the Law of Attraction

"Your Story, and the Law of Attraction
Each and every component that makes up your life experience is drawn to you by the powerful Law of Attraction's response to the thoughts you think and the story you tell about your life. Your money and financial assets; your body's state of wellness, clarity, flexibility, size, and shape; your work environment, how you are treated, work satisfaction, and rewards-indeed, the very happiness of your life experience in general-is all happening because of the story that you tell. If you will let your dominant intention be to revise and improve the content of the story you tell every day of your life, it is our absolute promise to you that your life will become that ever-improving story. For by the powerful Law of Attraction, it must be!

Does Life Sometimes Seem to Be Unfair?
You have wanted more success and you have applied yourself well, doing everything that everyone said you should do, but the success you have been seeking has been slow to come. You tried very hard, especially at first, to learn all the right things, to be in the right places, to do the right things, to say the right things . . . but often things did not appear to be improving much at all.

Earlier in your life, when you were first dipping your toe into the idea of achieving success, you found satisfaction in satisfying the expectations of the others who were laying out the rules for success. The teachers, parents, and mentors who surrounded you seemed confident and convincing as they laid out their rules for success: "Always be on time; always do your best; remember to work hard; always be honest; strive for greatness; go the extra mile; there's no gain without pain; and, most important, never give up. . . ."

But, over time, your finding satisfaction from gaining the approval of those who laid out those rules waned as their principles of success-no matter how hard you tried-did not yield you the promised results. And it was more disheartening still when you stood back to gain some perspective on the whole picture and realized that their principles were not, for the most part, bringing them real success either. And then, to make matters even worse, you began meeting others (who clearly were not following those rules) who were achieving success apart from the formula that you had been so diligent to learn and apply.

And so you found yourself asking: "What's going on here? How can those who are working so hard be receiving so little, while those who seem to be working so little are achieving so much? My expensive education hasn't paid off at all-and yet that multimillionaire dropped out of high school. My father worked hard every day of his life-and yet our family had to borrow the money to pay for his funeral. . . . Why doesn't my hard work pay off for me the way it was supposed to? Why do so few really get rich, while most of us struggle to barely get by? What am I missing? What do those financially successful people know that I don't know?"

Is "Doing Your Best" Still Not Enough?
When you are doing everything you can think of, truly trying your best to do what you have been told is supposed to bring you success, and success doesn't come, it is easy to feel defensive, and eventually even angry at those who are displaying evidence of the success you desire. You even find yourself sometimes condemning their success simply because it is too painful to watch them living the success that continues to elude you. And it is for this reason-in response to this chronic condition in the financial affairs of your culture-that we offer this book.

When you come to the place of openly condemning the financial success that you crave, not only can that financial success never come to you, but you are also forfeiting your God-given rights to your health and happiness as well.

Many actually come to the incorrect conclusion that others in their physical environment have banded together in some sort of conspiracy to keep them from succeeding. For they believe, with all of their heart, that they have done everything possible to achieve success, and the fact that it has not come must surely mean that there are some unfriendly forces at work that are depriving them of what they desire. But we want to assure you that nothing like that is at the heart of the absence of what you desire or of the presence of things you would like to remove from your experience. No one ever has or ever could have prevented your success-or provided it. Your success is all up to you. It is all in your control. And we are writing this book so that now, finally, once and for all time, your success can be in your deliberate and conscious control.

Money Is Not the Root of Evil or of Happiness
This important subject of money and financial success is not the "root of all evil" as many have quoted-nor is it the path to happiness. However, because the subject of money touches most of you in one way or another hundreds or even thousands of times in every day, it is a large factor in your vibrational makeup and in your personal point of attraction. So when you are able to successfully control something that affects most of you all day, every day, you will have accomplished something rather significant. In other words, because such a high percentage of your thoughts in any given day reside around the topic of money or financial success, as soon as you are able to deliberately guide your thoughts, not only is it certain that your financial success must improve, but the evidence of that success will then prepare you for deliberate improvement in every aspect of your life experience.

If you are a student of Deliberate Creation, if you want to consciously create your own reality, if you desire control of your own life experience, if you want to fulfill your reason for being, then your understanding of these prevalent topics-money and the Law of Attraction-will serve you enormously well.

I Am the Attractor of My Every Experience
You are meant to live an expansive, exhilarating, good-feeling experience. It was your plan when you made the decision to become focused in your physical body in this time-space reality. You expected this physical life to be exciting and rewarding. In other words, you knew that the variety and contrast would stimulate you to expanded desires, and you also knew that any and all of those desires could be fully and easily realized by you. You knew, also, that there would be no end to the expansion of new desires.

You came into your body full of excitement about the possibilities that this life experience would inspire, and that desire that you held in the beginning was not muted at all by trepidation or doubt, for you knew your power and you knew that this life experience and all of its contrast would be the fertile ground for wonderful expansion. Most of all, you knew that you were coming into this life experience with a Guidance System to help you remain true to your original intent as well as to your never-ending amended intentions that would be born out of this very life experience. In short, you felt an eagerness for this time-space reality that nearly defies physical description.

You were not a beginner-even though you were newly beginning in your wee, small physical body-but instead you were a powerful creative genius, newly focusing in a new, Leading Edge environment. You knew that there would be a time of adjustment while redefining a new platform from which you would begin your process of deliberate creating, and you were not the least bit worried about that time of adjustment. In fact, you rather enjoyed the nest into which you were born and those who were there to greet you into your new physical environment. And while you could not yet speak the language of their words-and although you were perceived by those who greeted you as new and unknowing and in need of their guidance-you possessed a stability and a knowing that most of them had long left behind.

You were born knowing that you are a powerful Being, that you are good, that you are the creator of your experience, and that the Law of Attraction is the basis of all creation here in your new environment. You remembered then that the Law of Attraction (the essence of that which is like unto itself, is drawn) is the basis of the Universe, and you knew it would serve you well. And so it has.

You were still remembering then that you are the creator of your own experience. But even more important, you remembered that you do it through your thought, not your action. You were not uncomfortable being a small infant who offered no action or words, for you remembered the Well-Being of the Universe; you remembered your intentions in coming forth into your physical body, and you knew that there would be plenty of time for acclimating to the language and ways of your new environment; and, most of all, you knew that even though you would not be able to translate your vast knowledge from your Non-Physical environment directly into physical words and descriptions, it would not matter, for the most important things to set you on a path of joyful creation were already emphatically in place: You knew that the Law of Attraction was consistently present and that your Guidance System was immediately active. And, most of all, you knew that by trial, and what some may call "error," you would eventually become completely and consciously reoriented in your new environment.

I Knew of the Consistency of the Law of Attraction
The fact that the Law of Attraction remains constant and stable throughout the Universe was a big factor in your confidence as you came into your new physical environment, for you knew that the feedback of life would help you to remember and gain your footing. You remembered that the basis of everything is vibration and that the Law of Attraction responds to those vibrations and, in essence, organizes them, bringing things of like vibrations together while holding those not of like vibrations apart.

And so, you were not concerned about not being able to articulate that knowledge right away or to explain it to those around you who had seemingly forgotten everything they knew about it, because you knew that the consistency of this powerful Law would, soon enough, show itself to you through the examples of your own life. You knew then that it would not be difficult to figure out what kinds of vibrations you were offering because the Law of Attraction would be bringing to you constant evidence of whatever your vibration was.

In other words, when you feel overwhelmed, circumstances and people who could help you get out from under your feeling of overwhelment cannot find you, nor can you find them. Even when you try hard to find them, you cannot. And those people who do come do not help you, but, instead, they add to your feeling of overwhelment.

When you feel mistreated-fairness cannot find you. Your perception of your mistreatment, and the subsequent vibration that you offer because of your perception, prevents anything that you would consider to be fair from coming to you.

When you are buried in the disappointment or fear of not having the financial resources that you believe you need, the dollars-or the opportunities that would bring the dollars-continue to elude you . . . not because you are bad or unworthy, but because the Law of Attraction matches things that are like, not things that are unlike.

When you feel poor-only things that feel like poverty can come to you. When you feel prosperous-only things that feel like prosperity can come to you. This Law is consistent; and if you will pay attention, it will teach you, through life experience, how it works. When you remember that you get the essence of what you think about-and then you notice what you are getting-you have the keys for Deliberate Creation.

What Do We Mean by Vibration?
When we speak of vibration, we are actually calling your attention to the basis of your experience, for everything is actually vibrationally based. We could use the word Energy interchangeably, and there are many other synonyms in your vocabulary that accurately apply.

Most understand the vibrational characteristics of sound. Sometimes when the deep, rich bass notes of your musical instrumentation are played loudly, you can even feel the vibrational nature of sound.

We want you to understand that whenever you "hear" something, you are interpreting vibration into the sound you are hearing. What you hear is your interpretation of vibration; what you hear is your unique interpretation of vibration. Each of your physical senses of seeing, hearing, tasting, smelling, and touching exist because everything in the Universe is vibrating and your physical senses are reading the vibrations and giving you sensory perception of the vibrations.

So as you come to understand that you live in a pulsating, vibrating Universe of advanced harmonics, and that at the very core of your being you are vibrating at what could only be described as perfection in vibrational balance and harmony, then you begin to understand vibration in the way we are projecting it.

Everything that exists, in your air, in your dirt, in your water, and in your bodies, is vibration in motion-and all of it is managed by the powerful Law of Attraction.

You could not sort it out if you wanted to. And there is no need for you to sort it out, because the Law of Attraction is doing the sorting, continually bringing things of like vibrations together while things of different vibrational natures are being repelled.

Your emotions, which really are the most powerful and important of your six physical vibrational interpreters, give you constant feedback about the harmonics of your current thoughts (vibrations) as they compare with the harmonics of your core vibrational state.

The Non-Physical world is vibration.

The physical world that you know is vibration.

There is nothing that exists outside of this vibrational nature.

There is nothing that is not managed by the Law of Attraction.

Your understanding of vibration will help you to consciously bridge both worlds.

You do not have to understand your complex optic nerve or your primary visual cortex in order to see. You do not have to understand electricity to be able to turn on the light, and you do not have to understand vibrations in order to feel the difference between harmony or discord.

As you learn to accept your vibrational nature, and begin to consciously utilize your emotional vibrational indicators, you will gain conscious control of your personal creations and of the outcomes of your life experience.

"How to Create a Vision for Your Life

Article says .... "To mold your new life vision, close your eyes and imagine that a genie has just appeared before you. This genie has offered to grant your every wish, provided you have the courage to envision it, believe it will happen and pursue it. In order to create this vision, you need to temporarily suspend any self-defeating thoughts that you will only have in your life what you have always had."

My note ... please remember there is a slight time delay between when you begin envisioning your your desires and when they begin manifesting or taking place.  Also during that time other things you've envisioned previously either consciously or unconsciously are still in process of manifesting.  If those negative things are still happening they're just your previous creations manifesting and will diminish as you remain focused on positive outcomes for yourself.

Article says ..... "See your vision as an already accomplished reality in the present, not merely as something you want or hope to have happen. If you construct your vision as something you hope to have, the wanting, desiring and not having of it will manifest instead of the realization of the vision itself."

My note ... never frame, see or envision something in future time, always see it in past time as if it has already manifested into concrete reality.  If you can envision your desired outcome "behind" you in past time all the better.  Took me awhile to learn this on my own ... found by framing it in the future was like holding a carrot out in front of the donkey, donkey pursuing carrot but never getting a reward.  No way it could, because the reward was created in future-time and remains frozen there out of reach.

"How to Create a Vision for Your Life

By Joe Rubino November 15th, 2008
Souce Dream Manifesto

"Take an 8-ounce glass filled with coffee. This represents your low self-esteem. It is murky, dark and does not transmit light. Now take a large pitcher of crystal clear water. This represents your new empowering vision. Pour the water from the pitcher into the glass. The water from the pitcher flows into the glass, causing the glass to overflow. The first few ounces have little obvious effect on the color of the liquid in the glass. However, as you add more pure water, the content of the glass gets lighter and lighter.

By the time you have poured the entire pitcher out into the glass, you will notice all discolored liquid is gone and only pure, translucent water remains. The same holds true with regard to your mind. As you replace cynical, self-defeating thoughts that crush your self-esteem with a positive, empowering vision that feeds your magnificence, the power of the new thoughts eventually replace the old. This elevates your esteem and dilutes the thoughts that previously consumed your attention. The power in realizing this transformation comes from the magnitude of new positive energy that far surpasses the old negative force.

To mold your new life vision, close your eyes and imagine that a genie has just appeared before you. This genie has offered to grant your every wish, provided you have the courage to envision it, believe it will happen and pursue it. In order to create this vision, you need to temporarily suspend any self-defeating thoughts that you will only have in your life what you have always had.

The past does not need to be a harbinger of the future. Keep in mind that we will be developing a specific plan of action to address the question, "What exactly will it take to manifest this vision?" So, create your dream vision with the expectation that we will be designing a plan to bring each aspect of it into reality.

Let's start by revisiting what values your vision will honor. These will form the fabric that will weave throughout your vision. Next, review the qualities you previously recorded that you will enhance and further develop. These qualities will speak to who you are being as you construct your dream life. And lastly, make a list of your passions. These are those things you love to do and would gladly look forward to doing every day for the next 50 years. Your passions make life worthwhile.

Think of this vision as a movie script you will watch play out before you on the silver screen as you take your seat in the theater featuring your life story. Write your vision in first person and present tense as if you are describing a scene from the movie as it happens. Create a vivid mental image with as much detail as possible to bring your vision to life.

Utilize all your senses in describing it - sight, hearing, touch, smell and taste. See your vision as an already accomplished reality in the present, not merely as something you want or hope to have happen. If you construct your vision as something you hope to have, the wanting, desiring and not having of it will manifest instead of the realization of the vision itself.

Include within your vision the answers to the following questions:

    * Who will you be? What qualities and values will you embody? How will you look and come across to others? What will your self-image be?
    * What will you do with your life when you possess these qualities and values? How will you spend a typical day at play and a typical day at work?
    * What will you have as a result of being these qualities and doing the actions consistent with them?
    * Where will you live? In what type of home and with whom? With what physical possessions will you surround yourself?
    * What other things such as great friends, abundance, personal freedom, peace of mind, etc. will you have? What goals will you accomplish?
    * Who will you assist or support with these accomplishments? Are there any special people, organizations or causes that will be an important part of your life?
    * What will your relationships be like? Picture yourself interacting with friends, family, co-workers and all you meet in a way that reflects your high self-esteem and rich friendships.

You can't do this exercise wrong, so have fun creating your vision as a magnificent person worthy of the best that life has to offer.

Visions supply the creative energy that speeds the metamorphosis from caterpillar to butterfly. They nourish our ambitions, help clarify our intentions and elevate our self-esteem to the extent that we have the courage to create them, speak them so as to inspire others and believe in their ultimate realization. They serve as the blueprint for the magnificent castle we will build with the granite blocks of our actions and the mortar of our interpretations.

It's now your turn to create your very own empowering vision. Please do not pass up this opportunity to take advantage of the magic that it can unleash in transforming your life and self-image.

The ultimate value of a vision is that it serves as a motivating place to come from, rather than a place to get to. Visions are also dynamic. As you achieve certain aspects of your vision, it will evolve to include new and previously unforeseen elements. Some aspects of your current vision will also change in time to no longer be part of your evolving vision. For these reasons, visions are always in need of periodic review and reevaluation. They serve to inspire and motivate you and others, not to restrict your options and vitality.

Once you have created your written vision, commit to reading it twice daily without fail, in the morning upon rising and in the evening right before bedtime. As the vision becomes an intention and expectation, your belief in its ultimate realization will support its manifestation into the world.

Exercise:
Write out your personal empowering vision in first person and present tense. Describe in detail what every aspect of your life will be like. Read your vision at least twice each day."

"  Be easy about it. Don't rush into things. Savor them more. Make more plans and be more deliberate and specific about the plans you are making, and in all you do, let your dominant intent be to find that which pleasures you as you imagine it. Let your desire for pleasure and your desire for feeling good be your only guiding light. As you seek those thoughts that feel good, you will always be in vibrational harmony with the Energy that is your Source. And under those conditions, only good can come to you -- and only good can come from you."

"  It should only be talked about if the talking will make you feel better. It is of no value, ever, to activate and talk about something that doesn't feel good, because it reactivates it in your vibration; it makes it another point of your point of attraction-so you're less clear.

In other words, when you focus upon the problems of others, you diminish your ability to help them. People believe that you've got to focus upon the problem in order to find a solution. And we say, no solution ever comes forth-it's never inspired; you never recognize it, and you are never able to facilitate or achieve it-from your place of focusing on the problem. They are two entirely different vibrations. If you have someone who has many things going wrong and one thing going right, beat the drum of what's going right, and let that be your point of attraction. If you focus upon their problems, you achieve vibrational harmony with something other than the Source that gives you solution."

"The Music Coming From The House

"The Music Coming From The House

By Paulo Coelho  December 24th, 2008
Source Dream Manifesto

"On Christmas Eve, the king invited the prime minister to join him for their usual walk together. He enjoyed seeing the decorations in the streets, but since he didn't want his subjects to spend too much money on these just to please him, the two men always disguised themselves as traders from some far distant land.

They walked through the center of the city, admiring the lights, the Christmas trees, the candles burning on the steps of the houses, the stalls selling gifts, and the men, women and children hurrying off to celebrate a family Christmas around a table laden with food.

On the way back, they passed through a poorer area, where the atmosphere was quite different. There were no lights, no candles, no delicious smells of food about to be served. There was hardly a soul in the street, and, as he did every year, the king remarked to the prime minister that he really must pay more attention to the poor in his kingdom. The prime minister nodded, knowing that the matter would soon be forgotten again, buried beneath the day-to-day bureaucracy of budgets to be approved and discussions with foreign dignitaries.

Suddenly, they heard music coming from one of the poorest houses. The hut was so ramshackle and the rotten wooden timbers so full of cracks, that they were able to peer through and see what was happening inside. And what they saw was utterly absurd: an old man in a wheelchair apparently crying, a shaven-headed young woman dancing, and a young man with sad eyes shaking a tambourine and singing a folk song.

'I'm going to find out what they're up to,' said the king. He knocked. The music stopped, and the young man came to the door.

'We are merchants in search of a place to sleep. We heard the music, saw that you were still awake, and wondered if we could spend the night here.'

'You can find shelter in a hotel in the city. We, alas, cannot help you. Despite the music, this house is full of sadness and suffering.'

'And may we know why?'

'It's all because of me.' It was the old man in the wheelchair who spoke. 'I've spent my life teaching my son calligraphy, so that he could one day get a job as a palace scribe. But the years have passed and no post has ever come up. And then, last night, I had a stupid dream: an angel appeared to me and asked me to buy a silver goblet because, the angel said, the king would be coming to visit me. He would drink from the goblet and give my son a job.

'The angel was so persuasive that I decided to do as he said. Since we have no money, my daughter-in-law went to the market this morning to sell her hair so that we could buy that goblet over there. The two of them are doing their best to get me in the Christmas spirit by singing and dancing, but it's no use.'

The king saw the silver goblet, asked to be given a little water to quench his thirst and, before leaving, said to the family:

'Do you know, we were talking to the prime minister only today, and he told us that an opening for a palace scribe would be announced next week.'

The old man nodded, not really believing what he was hearing, and bade farewell to the strangers. The following morning, however, a royal proclamation was read out in all the city streets; a new scribe was needed at court. On the appointed day, the audience room at the palace was packed with people eager to compete for that much-sought-after post. The prime minister entered and asked everyone there to prepare their paper and pens:

'Here is the subject of the composition: Why is an old man weeping, a shaven-headed woman dancing, and a sad young man singing?'

A murmur of disbelief went round the room. No one knew how to tell such a story, apart, that is, from the shabbily dressed young man sitting in one corner, who smiled broadly and began to write.

Based on an Indian story and translated from the Portuguese by Margaret Jull Costa "

"Timeshifting - How to Control The Speed of Time

Great article, good information about slowing down a bit to prevent overload and burnout.  Have read in our 3D world time is measured by a series of events so has indeed sped up in recent years so not just our imagination.  Also read it's even more important to take a few before undertaking a project, a trip (even a short errand) or any undertaking .... to see in your mind's eye whatever your contemplating already successfully done, complete, over with.  This seems to help pave the way to a quicker more successful completion .... many times less traffic, fewer red lights, and a prime parking spot thanks to the "Parking Spot Fairy" who's blessed us all from time to time.   Big Grin

"Timeshifting - How to Control The Speed of Time

By Stephan Rechtschaffen  December 18th, 2008
Source Dream Manifesto

"Dr. Rechtschaffen's book < snip > grew out of the workshops he leads on the creative use of time. Unlike time-management courses which teach people how to work efficiently at an ever-accelerating pace, Rechtschaffen's basic premise is that it is crucial to learn how to "timeshift," to move smoothly from fast to medium to slow and back again. Each speed has its proper place, he believes, but the rhythms of industrialized societies, including the United States, encourage us to live in "fast forward" virtually all the time. He asserts that we pay a heavy price for doing so.

In this interview with Dr. Daniel Redwood, Dr. Rechtschaffen discusses the patterns of overwork endemic to modern culture, and presents practical ways to change these behaviors. In answer to a question about attention deficit disorder, he speaks of the condition as a rhythmic disturbance brought on when children try to entrain to the speedy rhythms around them, and offers advice to parents seeking alternatives to Ritalin.

DANIEL REDWOOD: Is staying busy always a positive thing?

STEPHAN RECHTSCHAFFEN: I don't think so. Too often we keep busy in order to avoid feeling our real feelings. When we're in a crisis, whether it's a death in the family, the breakup of a relationship, a bankruptcy, or whatever, people tell us, "stay busy, it will keep your mind off things." Painful feelings are difficult to face, and mostly we'd rather not feel them.

So we substitute action for contemplation. We get busy, speed up, turn on the television, do the chores, surf the Internet, go to the gym, anything but feel the painful feelings. We want to experience pleasant emotions, particularly joy and love, but grief and pain are also a very real part of life. It's essential that we not cut off these feelings or cover them up with ceaseless activity.

REDWOOD: What first led you to slow your pace?

RECHTSCHAFFEN: I want to make it clear that I'm not saying we need to do everything slowly. That's why I called my book < snip > rather than Downshifting. Timeshifting means constantly changing our rhythm, slowing or accelerating in order to feel present and in the flow of the moment. There is a proper time and place for doing things quickly. It's just that in our society, we seem to lock in to one particular speed, which is fast-forward. Going full speed ahead all the time creates all sorts of problems. The physical manifestations of a high-speed, high-stress life can include high blood pressure and heart disease. And then, there is the emotional toll. You can't stop and smell the roses when you're always going 65 miles an hour.

REDWOOD: Is this strictly an American phenomenon?

RECHTSCHAFFEN: No. The Japanese have a word, kashori, which means death from overwork. Ten thousand people a year die from kashori in Japan. To officially qualify as a victim of kashori, you have to have worked for at least 16 hours a day for seven straight days, or 24 hours straight just before dying. Yet when the Japanese government tried to shorten the work week from six days to five a few years ago, workers opposed the change. Speed, action, and busyness are addictive. When I visited Japan, I was fascinated to see people playing Pachinko, a game that is like vertical pinball, for hours on end. Little skill is involved, and there is no particular point in winning. But it's an excellent way to enter a sort of hypnotic trance, and an effective way to keep yourself from feeling.

REDWOOD: Is there an American equivalent?

RECHTSCHAFFEN: Television. Research has shown that approximately 40 percent of the average American's "free" time goes straight down the tube. And again, it serves to remove us from feeling, from the direct experience of our own lives.

REDWOOD: What are some practical ways to re-connect, to shift toward life-affirming rhythms?

RECHTSCHAFFEN: There are many ways to do it. Meditation, relaxation, listening to music, taking a walk in nature. Sometimes the best thing is to just literally sit still in one place for an hour. This sounds simple, but for many people it's quite difficult. There was a woman in one of my < snip > workshops, an environmental scientist who led a workaholic's life: up at five in the morning, kids fed and off to school, work and research all day, then writing up the results in the evening.

As an assignment, I told her to sit-just sit there-for an hour under a tree. Describing it afterwards, she said that at first she was more frightened than she had ever been in her entire life. Having the whole familiar structure of busyness removed was truly terrifying. But at some point she had a breakthrough. She felt transported back to a wonderful childhood experience. By sitting still, she had entrained to a slower rhythm, a natural rhythm. Everyone needs to find ways to do this.

REDWOOD: You cite statistics in your book to the effect that we could reproduce the 1948 U.S. standard of living working half the time it took back in 1948. With all the "labor-saving" devices that have emerged in the past half-century, why are we working longer hours?

RECHTSCHAFFEN: We have made many unwise choices. Basically, we have decided to trade our time for more goods and services. That statistic can be found in Juliet Schor's book, The Overworked American. It means that if we chose to arrange things differently, we theoretically could work four-hour days or take lots of long vacations. There's something very appealing about that.

REDWOOD: So why do people continue to work such long hours?

RECHTSCHAFFEN: When someone knows that staying longer at work will bring him or her increased income, there is a very strong incentive to stay longer and longer. An internal conflict develops. The person asks, "Do I leave work now and spend some time with my kids before they go to bed, maybe read them a story, or do I keep going on this project here at work?" More and more people are choosing to stay at work.

REDWOOD: I remember that when I lived in Washington, DC, staffers on both sides of the aisle in Congress, and people employed by both liberal and conservative groups, all shared a very demanding, fast-paced way of life, where working 60-70 hours a week or more was considered normal. The rationale was that their work was very important. In some cases, I agree that it was. But the human toll was very real.

RECHTSCHAFFEN: Definitely. This is true for people in government and in social movements, but it's also true in the healing arts, in social services, and many other places in our society. Seeing the value in the work we do, and recognizing that there is always more to be done, we find ourselves on a treadmill that never stops.

It's important to remember that productivity is not necessarily related to the amount of time one spends on the job. At one point we had a staff member at < snip > who was questioned because she wasn't spending as much time in her office as others expected her to, as much as her predecessor had. I knew, however, that she was a superbly productive worker, in large part because she set aside time for thinking and long-range planning. The glorification of "face time," where workers coming in early or staying on the job late are praised, but others, producing as much or more, are not, is counterproductive in the extreme.

REDWOOD: Why do you feel that "time is money" is the most insidious belief in western society?

RECHTSCHAFFEN: Because this concept severely devalues human interactions. It wasn't long ago that everyone charged by the job; now we charge by the hour. There are lawyers who charge by the minute. I called up my lawyer not long ago, and he greeted me by asking, "How's it going?" He charges $5 a minute. I found myself not wanting to "waste time" telling him how I was feeling (which I would of course do in any other situation), because I don't want to be paying that kind of money to share my feelings with him. When I call him, I make a list of the points to cover, and I try to cover them as quickly as possible. What happens is that what should, hopefully, be a caring human connection, becomes little more than an information transfer. And that is a very high price to pay.

REDWOOD: Does this adversely affect the lawyer himself?

RECHTSCHAFFEN: Someone who bills by the minute, or the hour, starts to think, "I make $100 an hour. Our baby sitter makes $10 an hour. If I work six more minutes, that pays for the sitter staying another hour. If I work for another hour, I can pay for a sitter, a cleaning lady, and a cook." This line of thought keeps on going. "If I work another week, that will pay for a chauffeur and a limousine. That will get me to work faster, and I can work while I'm being driven to the office, so I'll be even more efficient and make even more money."

The problem is, we lose sight of our original goals. The goal is not to make money. The goal is to have the time and enjoyment that money can, in theory, provide. But if we just stay at work, earning more and more money, and seldom taking the time to enjoy it, to read that story to the child, to take that vacation on a secluded island, then what is the point of it all? It's a question that needs to be asked. In my workshops on the use of time, these are some of the questions we explore.

REDWOOD: So the rich don't necessarily get to enjoy all their money?

RECHTSCHAFFEN: Some do. Most don't. There are complex factors that come into play for people who makes lots of money. I think it is a fair generalization to say that instead of having more time, most wealthy people have less. It is very time-consuming to manage and watch your money and investments. Also, being rich can become your identity. Vacations start to look like a loss of money-producing time. Money generates its own set of demands. These are not non-negotiable demands, but it takes real strength to resist them.

REDWOOD: You've spent a good deal of time in other countries, especially "poor" countries in Asia and the Caribbean. What's different there, aside from there being fewer material goods?

RECHTSCHAFFEN: Everyday life seems richer and fuller. People take the time to watch the sunlight reflecting on the sea. They are entrained to different rhythms. I think we have a great deal to learn from people in these nations. The concept of the siesta, for example, is almost unthinkable in an American city. But finding the proper balance between work and rest, and between work and play, is crucial to a healthy and happy life.

REDWOOD: Corporate America seems to recognize, however grudgingly, the value of changing one's pace, of taking a break. You mention in < snip > that the "cigarette break" and the "coffee break" are examples of a timeshifting rituals.

RECHTSCHAFFEN: Yes. Clearly we now know enough about the health effects of cigarettes that the cigarette break is no longer permitted in most office environments. But aside from the harmfulness of the cigarettes themselves, it's worth noting that such breaks offered what otherwise was a positive way to slow down. The worker would go out into the lounge or hallway, breathe deeply, and relax. This changed his rhythm. Sadly, though, the cigarettes eventually robbed him of the capacity to breathe. I think a good substitute is to take a "non-cigarette break," where you breathe deeply, but skip the cigarette. If it feels foolish to do this with other people around, try it in the bathroom or go outside.

The coffee break is one thing labor and management have agreed on since the dawn of the industrial age. It too acts as a timeshifting ritual. But like the cigarette break, there's an inherent problem. Caffeine artificially speeds us up, and eventually wears us down. Why rev up your heartbeat when it's moving along quite fast enough already?

REDWOOD: You speak of attention deficit disorder as a rhythm disturbance, caused by entraining to society's speedy pace from birth. How can parents help their children to avoid this pattern?

RECHTSCHAFFEN: This is a real challenge, because there are so many influences in the culture that encourage the child to go faster and faster. The pace and rhythm of society continue to accelerate, and children try to keep up. Some have more difficulty than others. Ironically, in the United States these children are treated with Ritalin, a drug that speeds up the nervous system. Paradoxically, the children slow down. In my view, this apparent contradiction results from a speedup that enables the children, like a racing engine, to shift up, get in gear, and thus be in sync with what's going on around them.

A better alternative is to just teach them to slow down. It takes real effort, but children can be taught mindfulness practices, dance to slow music, sit still for readings, and accept nap times. My son, at age five, surprised me one day by saying after a game of Nintendo, "I think I'll go meditate now." Today's childhood toys-computer games, instructional tapes, television-all entrain children to a rapid rhythm. We need to offer them other activities that counterbalance this.

REDWOOD: What other things can parents do to help their children moderate all these accelerating influences around them?

RECHTSCHAFFEN: Here are some ideas. First, from an early age practice concentration exercises with your child. They can listen to the reverberation of a bell, or stay with a musical tone until it disappears. I would also severely limit television time. Read to your children, particularly at bedtime when they need to timeshift into a slower rhythm. Other approaches I have used are beginning each meal with a moment of silence, and teaching them about boundaried time.

REDWOOD: These sound like good ideas for people of all ages. Can you define "boundaried time?"

RECHTSCHAFFEN: Boundaried time is time that is specifically set aside for a particular activity. So often, we are subjected to competing demands for our time, and respond by flitting back and forth from one activity to another, without devoting adequate attention to any of them. Adults can create boundaried time in the workplace, for example, by taking a 15-minute solitary walk alone after lunch, or not taking phone calls between 9 and 10 in the morning. It's very valuable to set aside certain boundaried times, so that you are able to timeshift during the day, and so that you don't feel that your pace is entirely out of your control.

REDWOOD: Would you like to offer any other timeshifting suggestions that people can use in their daily lives?

RECHTSCHAFFEN: Let's talk about commuting. I used to drive to work as fast as I could, passing cars, weaving in and out of traffic, and generally feeling angry and uptight. I would arrive at work tense and uncomfortable. At a certain point, I decided to change the pattern. I decided to leave for work an extra ten minutes early, and to drive at a comfortable pace. The change was wonderful! Not only was the commute itself much more pleasant, but I arrived at work feeling refreshed and happy.

I think it's very important for us to view all activities as worthwhile, whether it's driving to work, washing the dishes, cleaning the bedroom, or anything else.

REDWOOD: So how can washing the dishes, cleaning the bedroom, and the other "mundane" chores of life become enjoyable?

RECHTSCHAFFEN: That is the quintessential question. It's a matter of mindfulness, of focusing on where you are rather than constantly imagining the future or reliving the past. It's about being in the moment. This is a challenge for anyone who seriously undertakes it.

REDWOOD: What are you doing these days?

RECHTSCHAFFEN: I'm taking a sabbatical from < snip >, traveling, teaching. I'm doing my best to practice the principles I speak about in < snip >. I'm giving myself the time to let the process unfold, to see what the next step should be."

"Failure is the Stepping Stone to Achieving Success

Failure is the Stepping Stone to Achieving Success

By Taliya Townes  December 22nd, 2008
Source Dream Manifesto

"I awoke to deep sweats only to find out it wasn't a dream. I had locked myself up behind the bars of life. Dripping furiously with fear, anxiety, and worry that I let life over exhaust me, I became invisible to myself. I had sought the acclaim others gave me all the time on my validation of worth. I literally was being controlled by others opinions of me. Eventually I lost sight all together of whom I was and goals I had set.

My self-worth had been incarcerated and I became an enslaved self-server for people. I was now just a product of their environment. I had this deep almost inexpressible yearning within me to find myself. I knew I would have to discover internal strength in order to withstand negative provocations, selfishness, and keep a clear vision of determination of building and regaining my confidence and worth up. It would take me to break old habitual ways of being others inmate and changing old thinking of unworthiness. I had to go on a journey to set my values and principles to inspire growth, mentality, emotionally and spiritually.

Money, cars, parties and alcohol all played a role in losing my self-worth and replacing it with materialistic things while attending college. People would look at me and figure I was living the fabulous life. My only responsibility was to be on time for happy hour and still stumble my way into class on time. I was great at the portrayal of self image, which was happy and outgoing. (Cause and effect of alcohol.) My reflection in the mirror could only view my hair done, my applied makeup, and my designer wear, it never saw inside my discouraged, disappointed, and depressed inner spirit I carried daily.

I was persistent at putting my self-worth off to the side that it became habitually easier to let others control my actions, thoughts and way of being. I just felt as if I was no more than someone's victim; I thought I had tried everything I could do for myself. After awhile I choose to walk a life of confusion, frustration and misery.

Notice I did use the words, "I choose," because I could have made the choice to look for more productive alternatives, such as the alternative choice to be happy with myself and taking on responsibility for which I was. If I break the word responsibility down, it means my ability to respond to any circumstance, situation or person. For me it was just easier to constantly make decisions to blame others for my reactive negative approach to life, instead of being a force of influence over my own life.

Life began to look up when my party days of college was over. I had settled down with my husband and started a family. I thought I had broken free from incarceration and was living out my dreams. My daily life was a routine of my children needing me, my spouse next to me, and my friend's comforts knowing I was there to talk to them.

Once again I had not notice that I was letting my life deplete in to the hands of others. I didn't take the time out to figure out who I was between the captivity of home, family and friends. It had developed into an addiction before I knew it. I was addicted to how my friends and family made me feel of importance. I had not found my self-worth; I had just hid it inside of them.

My most eye opening experience came was when I had lost my unborn child. I was six months into my pregnancy when I had to be rushed to the hospital for stomach pains. Only to find out I would return home empty handed without my son. He had survived only minutes for me to hold and tell him that I loved him.

Watching his life slip away into my arms was the most pain I felt throughout my life. His life was taken before it was started. I became increasingly irate at the lack of understanding and support I was receiving from everybody. I notice my friends and family pursuing their getaway from me. I was an ineffective mother and spouse at this point, instead a grievance collector. It was at the point of losing life and my loved ones that it was time to find my inner self and break free from the bars of life.

In order to unlock myself I had to be willing to do what others weren't. I had to separate myself from everyone I love in order to grow mentally. I was determining to put my focus on myself and discipline my mind daily without any excuses. I didn't have time to waste on excuses but had to always have reasons for me to keep striving to become a better person.

I wanted to make myself over internally so I could be more effective to the ones who positioned themselves around me. I had to let my past and all the hurt associated with it go. The key to unlock my self-worth was not to focus on any problems but strive for solutions. I had to stop putting hours into everyone else and use those hours on growing to my fullest potential. I realized I had to start with my mind; a mind can only put out what have been put into it. Looking at my history my mind was filled with garbage. I took out the trash filled of failure and began with positive reinforcements to myself. Now that I had self-knowledge of who I wanted to be I could begin with self-correction.

I started 5 principles:

    * Happiness is my choice
    * Think only thoughts that empower me
    * Power to choose my response to any circumstance, situation or person
    * Refuse to excuse and go after results
    * Nothing has meaning except the meaning I give to it

I practice these five principles to create habits of thinking. I never once question who I am or what I can accomplish anymore.

I began work also on my inner spirit with daily positive affirmations to myself. My reflection in the mirror is flip outside in until I could only see that I am worth happiness, respect, integrity and honesty inwardly. Achievement is simple, but conquering me is a journey." All I can say now is I am just now starting to live life.

I remind myself everyday is a new day. I just started to find that I am the creator of my life and this is a continuum path. Life is a growing process every day, because people are creatures of habit. It is so easy to slip back to being like everyone else and live in their reality. It's when I determined what my reality was for myself. That reality involves me taking forward steps to improve my life and self.

I must say life is much easier than what people make of it. 99% of what people fret or worry over what has happen or never will happen. I continue day by day too continually to fall in love with everything right about life and discredit anything that is wrong. I have taken a different approach to my own life and applied optimistic views while gaining focus on becoming a better me.

The continuous mistake I made in the past when I was a unhappy I repeatedly tried to make myself feel better instead I should have tried to just be better. I stop putting emphasis on my negative feelings and put more energy on thriving to use my creativity to be better.

I finally was gaining the components of self-respect, self-control, happiness, that it seems like I lost 50 pounds. That is the formula I came up with for losing weight. Lose 50 negative thoughts and the pounds will drop. I failed over and over until my eyes open and realize I have to be me. My key to success was growth. My motto is "You can't go forward in life by doing what you did yesterday."

Failure is the stepping stone to achieving success. It is the fear of failure that held me back not failure itself. Everyone has failed, rather it is relationships, investments or careers, and it is what we take from the experience. I had to start learning from my failures and get the positive feedback that each failed obstacle came with.

There is always going to be something to learn from failure. That is what makes a successful person, they way you learn from your failures. I am free and I am proud to say I failed my way to a successful life.  People will predict, but I am the only person that can determine my destiny."

Abraham-Hicks Daily Quote

"  The beasts that came before you, who banged around on this planet, denoted at cellular conscious and unconscious levels, their preferences. And that is how the atmosphere was prepared for you. They did not write one thing on their "things to do today" pads. They just be'd and perceived and concluded and asked vibrationally. And the Universe expanded as a result of their willingness to have exposure to the contrast. And you are not different from them. You have no greater responsibility than they did. The contrast produces the desire within you, and the Universe expands as a result of it. The only question is, the question that we want so much to answer is, are you letting it in? Are you letting yourself experience the benefit of your precious focus and your vast experience in the here and now? You'll never get it done. You cannot get it wrong. So don't you think it's time for you to lighten up and start having more fun with all of this, and accept that you are Eternal Beings? And since you are Eternal Beings, then there's no point in rushing, because there's never going to be a time when you don't exist. "

"Effortless Detachment - the Missing Key to Conscious Creation

"Detachment from your desired outcome is vital to creating your ideal reality. To be attached to your desires is to live in the fear that they will not materialize and traps you in a continuous state of desire. Attachment to any thing or any one turns love into fear and belief into doubt. Faith allows you to detach yourself from the outcome and transforms your desires into your choice.

Attachment is Giving Away Your Power
The instant you attach yourself to a specific person's actions or words or to a certain outcome, you give your power away to external forces and circumstances. In effect, you give away your power to create your own reality.

To be attached to any one or to any thing is to tell yourself that you are somehow incomplete without that person, thing or event in your life. In so doing you fail to see the divine perfection in what is, as it is. Instead, you create within yourself a desperate need to control the process and a sense of doubt as to whether your desire will manifest. Attachment breeds doubt and as Kahil Gibran said, "doubt is a pain too lonely to know that faith is his twin brother".

Detachment Transforms Desire into Will
Paradoxically, desire keeps your desires away from you because to desire something is to acknowledge its absence in your life. When you become certain of the outcome, then your desire becomes your will. Your will is your intention, it is your choice. It transforms "what could be" into "what is" and dissolves all doubt. When you will something, you no longer desire it to happen, you choose for it to do so. Remember that we were all given "free will" - you have the free will to create the reality of your choice.

Faith is the Antidote for Attachment
When you detach yourself from the outcome you will instantly feel your doubt and fear transforming into a deep sense of knowing and certainty - this is faith. Faith is the route to true detachment. It is the only way to willingly hand over your choices to the Omnipotence of the Universe of which you are a part. To have faith does not mean to sit back and wish things could be different.

It is to relax in the knowledge that your choice has already manifested in the mental realm from which all things manifest, and to take inspired action toward that specific outcome materializing in the physical world. Faith is not blind. To the contrary, it is "the evidence of things not seen".

Making Detachment Effortless
Detachment comes naturally when you know, understand and apply the Truth that you are one with the Universal Mind - the All, the One Creator - for which nothing is impossible. Whenever you feel a sense of panic or a need to control the process whether it be in your day-to-day thoughts or during your creative visualization sessions, then know that you are in a state of attachment. In that moment, relax and remind yourself of the Truth that time is an illusion of the physical realm and that what you have chosen to experience is already here albeit simply in the process of transforming from a non-physical to a physical state. You are only ever in control when you do not have a need to control.

Do Not Confuse Detachment with Giving Up
To detach is not the same as giving up on your choices. On the contrary, it is to feel so certain of their manifestation in your life, that you no longer have to worry, wonder or even think about them. When you are detached you feel more powerful, determined and clear in your thoughts. You can tell whether you have detached or given up by gauging how you feel. Simply put, when you detach you feel empowered, when you give up you feel disempowered.

Letting Go Allows for Flow
When you are attached to the manifestation of a specific outcome, you place yourself in a state of resistance to what is, and as the saying goes "what you resist persists". To detach shifts your state into one of total non-resistance where panic transforms into peace of mind and certainty. This is the state which allows life to flow. This is the state which allows for your desires to become your choice and your choice to become your reality.

It maximises your thought power and allows your choices to manifest in the shortest period of time as you consciously align yourself with the Law of Attraction. It enables you to enjoy the process and know that everything is in perfect order as it is. When you are detached, life becomes a game to be enjoyed.

"This or Something Better"
Detachment allows you to experience the full gamut of life. You open yourself up to experiences and events infinitely more joyful than perhaps even those that you initially desired for yourself. This is why it is important to always say "this or something better" when you choose something in your life. When you can say that with all honesty, then you know you are truly detached.

In a nutshell, detachment is vital to allowing for your ideal reality to manifest in your physical world. Attachment breeds panic, fear and disempowerment which detachment transforms into peace of mind, certainty and empowerment. Detachment transform your desire into your choice. The route to detachment is faith. The Truth that you are One with the Universal Mind and that everything in your outside world is a reflection of your inner world, makes detachment effortless."
