    Where to Retire

I don't get credit for this ... it was emailed to me.  I did add the 4 seasons to California, but other than that, this is not my creation!

    RETIREMENT CHOICES...

You can live in Phoenix , Arizona where.....
    1.      You are willing to park 3 blocks away because you found shade.
    2.      You've experienced condensation on your butt from the hot water in the
    toilet bowl.
    3.      You can drive for 4 hours in one direction and never leave town.
    4.      You have over 100 recipes for Mexican food.
    5.      You know that "dry heat" is comparable to what hits you in the face when
    you open your oven door.
    6.      The 4 seasons are: tolerable, hot, really hot, and ARE YOU KIDDING ME??!!

You can Live in California where...
    1.      You make over $250,000 and you still can't afford to buy a house.
    2.      The fastest part of your commute is going down your driveway.
    3.      You know how to eat an artichoke.
    4.      You drive your rented Mercedes to your neighborhood block party.
    5.      When someone asks you how far something is, you tell them how long
it will take to get there rather than how many miles away it is.
    6.      The 4 seasons:  Wasn't that a musical group back in the '60s?

You can Live in New York City where...
    1.      You say "the city" and expect everyone to know you mean Manhattan.
    2.      You can get into a four-hour argument about how to get from Columbus
Circle to Battery Park, but can't find Wisconsin on a map.
    3.      You think Central Park is "nature".
    4.      You believe that being able to swear at people in their own language
    makes you multi-lingual.
    5.      You've worn out a car horn.
    6.      You think eye contact is an act of aggression.

You can Live in Maine where...
    1.      You only have four spices: salt, pepper, ketchup, and Tabasco.
    2.      Halloween costumes fit over parkas.
    3.      You have more than one recipe for moose.
    4.      Sexy lingerie is anything flannel with less than eight buttons.
    5.      The four seasons are: winter, still winter, almost winter, and
    construction.

You can Live in Texas where...
    1.      You can rent a movie and buy bait in the same store.
    2.      "y'all" is singular and "all y'all" is plural.
    3.      "He needed killin' " is a valid defense.
    4.      Everyone has 2 first names: Billy Bob, Jimmy Bob, Mary Sue, Betty
    Jean, Mary Beth, etc.

You can live in Colorado where...
    1.      You carry your $3,000 mountain bike atop your $500 car.
    2.      You tell your husband to pick up Granola on his way home and he
stops at the day care center.
    3.      A pass does not involve a football or dating.
    4.      The top of your head is bald, but you still have a pony tail.

You can live in the Midwest where...
    1.      You've never met any celebrities, but the mayor knows your name.
    2.      Your idea of a traffic jam is ten cars waiting to pass a tractor.
    3.      You have had to switch from "heat" to "A/C" on the same day.
    4.      You end sentences with a preposition: "Where's my coat at?"
    5.      When asked how your trip was to any exotic place, you say, "It was
    different!"

AND You can live in Florida where...
    1.      You eat dinner at 3:15 in the afternoon.
    2.      All purchases include a coupon of some kind -- even houses and cars.
    3.      Everyone can recommend an excellent dermatologist.
    4.      Road construction never ends anywhere in the state.
    5.      Cars in front of you are often driven by headless people .
    6.      You don't mind a bit of wind and a little rain .

    My Analysis Charts Explained

I plan to once again share with Lottery Post members and guests my analysis of the 13 states that I have databases for and that I predict every day.

I just started the databases (I used to have an extensive one for California), so I don't think there are obvious patterns yet, but I want to put an explanation here in my blog so that I don't have to do it many times in the forums.

In the past I could post from my Excel spreadsheets and they looked very nice.  With the editor that is now being used, I have not been able to achieve the same look, but I will try at least for awhile to post them.

Here is an example using California Evening:

I have tried posting this chart 3 times and it is still wrong.  The bold and colors don't do what they should and I have to keep changing them.  Sorry.  I thought it might be worth a try, but guess not.  It is after 1 A.M. and I have a blackjack class to teach tomorrow (I mean today!), so I need to get to bed.  I'm sorry I couldn't do this for you.

Starting at the bottom ... the date ... then the 3 digits as they were drawn ... my "10-digit number" ... a "Pos." number and the "A-B".

The 10-digit number (for lack of a better term) is based on how old each digit is.  I learned this technique from OhioPick3 and I always want to give him the credit for it.  For 1/29 the number is 37016-84925.  I use the "-" between the first 5 digits and the second 5 digits just to make it easier to identify the position numbers without having to count.  The way I number the positions is: 12345-67890.  I also call the left side "A" and the right side "B".

The draw on 1/29 was 603 so I went back after the draw and did those digits in bold.  The new 10-digit number is made by simply putting the digits that were drawn (603 in this case) up at the beginning using the same order they were in before the draw and moving all the other digits to the right.  So, the new 10-digit number is 30671-84925.

The "Pos" are the position numbers that hit that draw.  So, for the 603 (look at the bold numbers to make it easy to see what the position numbers are) the position numbers are 135.

The "A-B" column shows how many digits from the A-side and how many from the B-side.

Now for the colors.  The date will be highlighted yellow if the draw was one of my "rare" numbers (pure odd, pure even, or series).  I do not include the doubles or triples with the "rare" highlighting.

Above the digits that were drawn are the letters O H D.  Those stand for Odd High Double.  So, if a number has an Odd sum, the first digit will be highlighted yellow.  The H is for numbers that have 2 or more High digits, and the D is obvious!

When a digit repeats from the previous draw, it is in red.  This is also true for the Position numbers.

I think that about covers it.  Please don't ask me to do other states.  As you can see this takes time to do and I'm already doing 13 states.  Those states are listed in my Pick 3 Evening posts.

Here are the results from Deflating the Predictors for today.  I suggest playing either Tier 3 or Tier 5 in your state.  I am using Tier 3 for my "all states" predictions for today.  I am also betting Tier 3 in a few states (37 tickets to play).

I did NOT include any triples.

    Deflate Predictors Method

More and more people are reporting good results with the Deflate the Predictors method.  Seems that just about everyone that has told me about using it has a special "spin" that they apply!  But some are asking how many numbers do you have to play.  Well, I normally play just Tier 5 (smallest group), but some are playing Tier 3 only with good success.  Here are the Tiers for today (8/26/05):

    Tier 5 (16 numbers)
    192,097,142,239,725,623,401,281,514,267,311,310,976,235,024,682

    Tier 4 (23 numbers)
    015,135,296,348,453,698,795,803,690,289,512,734,047,958,156,611,167,789,081,010,365,694,201

    Tier 3 (35 numbers)
    409,461,502,718,784,203,481,603,714,825,170,403,378,489,742,060,911,723,668,477,188,770,616,

    391,419,260,046,367,280,186,270,577,216,884,556

    I don't include triples.

As a reminder, the "Tiers" in this case show how many predictors predicted that number.  So, 192 was predicted at least once by FIVE predictors for today.

Good Luck.  Try this...I think you will like it!

    Going The Wrong Way

I think many members are going the wrong way when it comes to posting their "predictions" in the forums.  I thought the idea was to try to reduce the number of possible combinations to play to get a win.  But I see more and more members going the opposite direction.

We have lists of twenty pairs that are going to hit sometime!!  Well duh!

We have lists of three key numbers for a particular draw.  More and more people are doing this.  Each key number covers 55 possible numbers.  Another "Well, duh!".

We have lists of 3 or 4 root sums that one of them is guaranteed to hit sometime this week.  There are only 9 (disregarding root sum 0 which is only 000) root sums.  Do you think that just maybe one of the 3 or 4 might hit this week?  Well, duh!

Almost everyone (including me today!!) that puts their predictions on the prediction page are now posting all states.  This is OK (actually I like it because of the way I'm picking numbers to bet), but it just shows that people are not really concentrating on any one state.  Yes, a few are.  You will see people talking about an overdue pair or digit, etc., but for the most part most of us are just getting out the double-barrel shotgun and letting go with both barrels hoping we hit something.

I spent many hours yesterday researching numbers to play in each individual state and draw.  I failed very badly.  I think I had one hit!  So, today I researched numbers for many states and then posted those numbers as "all states".

I would much rather think that I could find a way to pick winners in individual states, but I'm not good at that.  For that matter neither are most of us!  That's why we use the "all states" feature for predicting.  Please understand that I do the all states myself some times and I would hate to see people stop using that feature.  I use it for my bets!!  But that is because nobody has a good handle on predicting for any individual state.

    This is very sad, indeed.

    Deflate Method Still Working

My deflate method (deflating the predictors predictions) that I listed below is still working.  I have not been able to reduce the number of tickets needed nor found a way to get straights.  A number of people are now using this method and we are all trying to find a way to play it smarter.

Here are my results for Michigan for the past week:

    7/25 Mid Lost  Eve Lost

    7/26 Mid Won  Eve Won

    7/27 Mid Won  Eve Lost

    7/28 Mid Lost  Eve Won

    7/29 Mid Lost  Eve Won

    7/30 Mid Won  Eve Won

    7/31 Mid Lost  Eve Won

    8/1  Mid Lost  Eve Won

    8/2  Mid Won  Eve ?

Still not making much money, but we will find a way to reduce the number of tickets ... then watch out.  If you try this in your state, remember to play only those numbers that have been predicted by 3 to 5 predictors.  Don't skip the step where you eliminate duplicates from each predictor.  Yes, it takes a lot of time to do it correctly, but it is worth it.  Not too many people are willing to take the time to do it since it doesn't pay a fortune.  It takes me about 1 to 1.5 hours to do one draw.

Good Luck and let me know by PM how you are doing in your state.  PLEASE do not post the numbers on the prediction page!!!  That messes it up for the rest of us.  And if you suspect that someone is trying to sabotage your efforts, just don't include them.

    This Works!!

Although some people don't believe me or maybe they just want to attack me, this method works.  I have hesitated to expound on it too much, although I have explained it before, because it can be sabotaged.  I have found ways around that (like deleting duplicate numbers from the same predictor and skipping some predictors entirely), but you can test it for yourself.  I have only tried it in Michigan, so I can't say it will work everywhere.  I don't hit every day.  I said I hit virtually every day and I was misquoted as saying I always hit. Virtually means "almost".  Here are my results for this week in Michigan:

7/3 Mid Lost    7/3 Eve Won

7/4 Mid Won    7/4 Eve Lost

7/5 Mid Won    7/5 Eve Lost

7/6 Mid Lost    7/6 Eve Lost

7/7 Mid Won    7/7 Eve Lost

7/8 Mid Lost    7/8 Eve Won

7/9 Mid Won    7/9 Eve Lost

Out of the last 7 days, there was only 1 when I lost both draws.  This is not a huge money maker.  I have not claimed that nor am I claiming I'm making money hand over fist.  I make a little money with it, but when you have to bet close to 100 tickets a day and win once or none ... you won't get rich.  I'm trying to refine it for straights only or fewer tickets, but haven't been able to, yet.

Here is how it works.  It is very time consuming ... that's why I only do one state.  I started with Michigan and stuck with it because I was contributing to a weekly thread for Michigan and wanted to share it with those members.  There was some interest in it, but not much.  I had a few PMs asking about it and there are a few members playing it with success.  No, I do not do the work for them!

You need to use Deflate 3 or the program Crunch.  Inspector 3 is very helpful too.  What you do is take the predictions for each of the predictors for the draw you want to play and input one into Inspector 3 or Deflate 3 (same as Crunch) and eliminate the duplicates.  I think it is easier in Inspector 3, but you can use the others as well.  Once you have eliminated the duplicates from that predictor, take those results and put them into an open Deflate 3 or Crunch that you will leave open until the end.  Some of this can be done with notepad as well, of course.  In fact, I take the predictions from the predictions page and copy and paste them into notepad.  Then when I copy and paste from notepad into Deflate 3 for the first time, I can go back and delete that top line in notepad.  That way I keep straight which predictor I have done (I'm 61 years old ... I need help like that!!).

I don't include triples, so if you want to do the same, you can uncheck the triples in Deflate 3 before you do the deflate.  Once you have done each predictor and put their results into Deflate 3, do the deflate.  You will see different tiers or "priorities" if you are using Crunch.  This shows how many times this number shows up in the list.  In other words, in our case, how many predictors picked that number.  The winning number is usually in tiers 3 through 5.  Here is what my "crunch" looked like for today's Michigan Midday (the highlighted are words I added):

I played all 44 of Priorities 3 through 5 (playing box only) and had a hit. Depending on where and how you play will determine how much you make or lose, of course, so I will let you figure that out.

Try it in Michigan or your state before you put money on it.  I think you will find it works.

    My Trend Analysis Explained

The following is trend analysis for California Midday.  I do this for different states from time to time and post them, but the following should give an explanation of how I do it and what everything means.

    -/- (Odd/Even changed, High/Low changed) =  9

    -/* (Odd/Even changed, High/Low same)    =  6

    */* (Odd/Even same, High/Low same)      =  4

    */- (Odd/Even same, High/Low changed)    = 10

The next number indicates how many digits repeated from the previous draw.

    No digit repeat  =  11
    One digit repeat =  15
    Two digits repeat =  3

Doubles (includes triples, if there are any) =  9
    No doubles                                  = 21

The "D" indicates a double and the number in () behind it indicates the number of skips since the last double.

We notice that playing either "-/-" or "*/-" would be best for California Midday.  I am presently not trying to figure out each state, instead I'm playing "-/-" for all my predictions for Pick 3.

Trying to playing only those numbers with one repeat digit or no repeat digit doesn't seem to work.  You would miss a lot of wins.

Doubles are hitting only 30% of the time.  You could just skip playing doubles or try to predict when they will hit (and maybe miss another win!).

I hope this explains my "Trend Analysis" and my current (it seems to change often!) method.

The last draw shown here is 977 (O/H), so if you played opposite/opposite, you would play E/L.  Here are the 4 groups:

No matter what I do, I can't get those bottom numbers to line up where they belong.  The columns with no doubles are the longest, so just move those bottom numbers over a little bit to line up!  Sorry about that, I have tried to edit them 3 times and no luck.
