Ten Commandments Sermon :-)

Ten Commandments Sermon

Murphy showed up at Mass one Sunday and the priest almost fell over when he saw him.  Murphy had never been to church in his life. After Mass, the priest caught up with him and said, "Murphy,

I am so glad you decided to come to Mass. What made you come?"

Murphy said, "I got to be honest with ya,

Father. A while back, I misplaced me hat and I really, really love that hat. I know that McGlynn had a hat just like mine and I knew he came to church every Sunday.

I also knew that he had to take off his hat during Mass and figured he would leave it in the back of church. So, I was going to leave after Communion and steal McGlynn's hat."  The priest said, "Well, Murphy, I notice that you didn't steal McGlynn's hat. What changed ya mind?"

Murphy replied, "Well, after I heard ya sermon on the 10 Commandments, I decided that I didn't need to steal McGlynn's hat after all."

With a tear in his eye the priest gave Murphy a big smile and said; "After I talked about 'Thou Shalt Not Steal,' you decided you would rather do without your hat than burn in hell?"

Murphy slowly shook his head. "No, Father, after ya talked about 'Thou Shalt Not Commit Adultery,' I remembered where I left my hat."

U.S. Army's New Rifle Is A Game Changer

The U.S. Army's New Rifle Is A Game Changer

The XM25 (now the MXT135), designed by Minnesota's Alliant Techsystems,

has been in development for about seven years and the first prototypes have

been doled out to combat units in Afghanistan earlier this month.

The 12-pound, 29-inch system, which costs up to $35,000 per unit,

is so sophisticated that soldiers are proficient users literally within minutes.

(U.S. Army)

At $45/round it is a real bargain!

The MXT135 Counter Defilade Target Engagement System has a range

of roughly 7,800 feet - and is to be deployed in Afghanistan soon.

I would call it the "Equalizer."

  Some call it the "Punisher."

The rifle's gun sight uses a laser range finder to determine the exact distance

to the obstruction, after which the soldier can add or subtract up to 10 meters

from that distance to enable the bullets to clear the barrier and explode above

or beside the target.

Soldiers will be able to use them to target snipers hidden in trenches rather

than calling in air strikes.

The 35-millimeter round contains a chip that receives a radio signal from the

gun sight as to the precise distance to the target.

Lt. Col. Christopher Lehner, project manager for the system,

described the weapon as a 'game-changer' that other nations will try and copy.

The Army plans to buy 42,500 of the MXT135 rifles this year,

enough for every member of the infantry and special forces,

at a cost of $11,900.00 each.

  Lehner told Fox News:

"With this weapon system, we take away cover from [enemy targets] forever.

Tactics are going to have to be rewritten.

The only thing we can see [enemies] being able to do is run away."

Experts say the rifle means that enemy troops will no longer be safe if they take cover.

The MXT135 appears to be the perfect weapon for street-to-street fighting

that troops in Afghanistan have to engage in, with enemy fighters hiding

behind walls and only breaking cover to fire occasionally.

The weapon's laser finder would work out how far away the enemy was and

then the U.S. Soldier would add one meter using a button near the trigger.

When fired, the explosive round would carry exactly one meter past the wall

and explode with the force of a hand grenade above the Taliban fighter.

The Army's project manager for new weapons, Douglas Tamilio, said,

“This is the first leap-ahead technology for troops that we've been able to

develop and deploy."

A patent granted to the bullet's maker, Alliant Tech systems,

reveals that the chip can determine how far it has traveled.

  Mr. Tamilio said:

"You could shoot a Javelin missile, and it would cost about $69,000.

These rounds will end up costing $45.00 apiece."

They're relatively cheap.  Lehner added,

"This is a game-changer.

The enemy has learned to get cover for hundreds if not thousands of years.

Well, they can't do that anymore.

We're taking that cover from them and there's only two outcomes:

We're going to get you behind that cover or force you to flee."

The rifle will initially use high-explosive rounds, but its makers say that it

might later use versions with smaller explosive charges that aim to stun rather than kill.

President Trump's Breakthrough for Veterans :-)

Party US Flag

President Trump’s Breakthrough for Veterans

      June 27, 2017

One of President Trump’s most important promises throughout the campaign was to ensure that American veterans receive the respect and care they deserve. Just months into his presidency, this is a promise on which he has delivered.

First, the President’s decision to nominate Dr. David Shulkin as secretary of Veterans Affairs was critical. During his earliest days in office, I observed President Trump meticulously vet and rule out dozens of people for the post. He knew the VA was gigantic and deeply flawed, and he needed someone extremely competent to run the organization – someone who could wrangle the entrenched bureaucracy without being swallowed by it.   That is what led President Trump to choose Shulkin.

In just five months, Shulkin has helped implement a VA Office of Accountability and Whistleblower Protection, created a website to track and publish wait times at every VA hospital, drastically increased mental health services across the system, and developed a way to electronically transfer veterans’ medical records from the Department of Defense to the VA to simplify their transition from service to civilian life. Each one of these accomplishments is remarkable. But for President Trump and Secretary Shulkin, these achievements were merely the starting point.

On Friday, President Trump signed the Veterans Accountability and Whistleblower Protection Act, which is the next great breakthrough for VA reform.   This legislation gives Secretary Shulkin the authority he needs to properly deal with or fire VA employees who fail to do their jobs.    The law shortens a years-long appeals process for disciplined employees and ensures that such employees will not be paid during disciplinary appeals. It also allows Shulkin to deny bonuses to underperforming employees and cut pensions for executives who misbehave. Under the law, VA employees who report misconduct within the organization will be protected from retaliation.

Let this sink in for a moment: Before President Trump took office and worked with the House of Representatives and the Senate to pass this bipartisan law, it was nearly impossible to fire a bad VA employee. Underperforming VA employees got bonuses. And executives who had been disciplined in the past received full pension benefits. The VA had become a scandal-laden, bureaucratic void, and only a few members of Congress were trying to do anything about it.

But this is no longer the case. As President Trump said before signing the law, these reforms are only the beginning, and “we will not rest until the job is 100 percent complete for our great veterans.”  While President Trump has been the main driver of this push to reform the VA, Speaker Paul Ryan and members of the House and Senate Veterans Affairs Committees deserve credit as well. Prior to Trump taking office, they had been working diligently to cure the ailments of the VA but did not have the support they needed from the previous administration.

As Speaker Ryan said on June 21 before Congress sent bill to President Trump’s desk, “We all saw the scandals at the VA. We need to make sure something like this never happens again, and that the veterans get the care and treatment that they deserve, that they have earned.” Now, with the support of President Trump and Secretary Shulkin, this is not only possible but as Shulkin said earlier this month at a  Christian Science Monitor breakfast, such change at the VA would also come quickly.   He said, “that slow and incremental steady change isn’t what this organization needs. That what we need is bolder, fundamental change dealing with the issues that frankly are really hard to deal with and that go back decades. That means, by definition, we are going to have to take greater risk. That is part of what [President Trump] has asked us to do.”

This law is a perfect example of how President Trump can make the government work. The VA might be the most visible example of federal incompetence, but the President has a great opportunity to work with Congress on reforms similar to the Veterans Accountability and Whistleblower Protection Act to cut waste at the Department of Defense, help eliminate fraud in Medicaid and Medicare, and begin reforming the entire federal civil service.  Finally, in addition to the substance of the Veterans Accountability Law, Friday’s signing ceremony clearly demonstrated how dire these reforms were.

President Trump and Secretary Shulkin introduced U.S. Army Sergeant Michael Verardo, who lost a leg and an arm in Afghanistan after being deployed in 2010 with the 82nd Airborne Division. Verardo underwent 110 surgeries and years of therapy to overcome his wounds. And despite his injuries, he was fortunate. Secretary Shulkin said Friday that 37 other men with whom Verardo had been deployed did not return from their missions.   Still, Verardo came home to what he called “a broken VA system.”

Upon transitioning from the Department of Defense to the VA system, Verardo constantly battled bureaucracy. He once had to wait 57 days to get his prosthetic leg repaired. It took three-and-a-half years for the VA to properly outfit his home with accessibility equipment. During his brief speech at the signing ceremony, he described a situation where he had to make a three-hour round trip to a VA facility, so doctors there could make sure he still had his “serious combat injuries” – remember he lost two limbs.

As Secretary Shulkin said, “the VA failed Michael.”  After five months in office, President Trump has done exactly what he promised and is dismantling and reforming this abysmal VA system to ensure that no other veteran has an experience similar to Sergeant Verardo’s. The years of corruption at the VA are over, and once again, protecting the lives of veterans, not the jobs of bureaucrats, is the priority.

Paris Agreement Impact Designed to devastate the U.S. Economy

THE PARIS TREATY WAS MEANT TO TURN THE U.S. ECONOMY INTO A GLOBALLY-GOVERNED SOCIALIST ECONOMY FOR CLIMATE JUSTICE’S SAKE.

It was primarily the U.S. that was responsible for developing poor countries throughout the world and it’s not surprising that 195 countries signed on to it.    The draft of the treaty states: “Developed countries shall provide developing countries with long-term, scaled-up, predictable, new and additional finance, technology and capability-building.”   It was a welfare bonanza for banana republics and polluting countries. The goal of it is to establish a low greenhouse gas emission economy, in other words, a global socialist economy without fossil fuels.

The U.S. was supposed to pay polluters

Under the Paris climate change treaty, China was able to pollute until 2030 and who knows what they would do in 2030 when the people who made the deal are no longer in charge. India and other nations also got to pollute until they become rich. The United States, however, had to immediately follow stringent requirements in every area of the country by 2020. It would be our economy that would go in the tank.

Countries like the U.S. were to be compelled to immediately consider sustainable development in all “policies and measures” and “in all economic sectors.” UNDER THIS TREATY, GLOBALISTS COULD EASILY CONTROL EVERY ASPECT OF OUR LIVES.

Shaming and tribunals

The treaty is non-binding and voluntary. No nation has to abide by it  BUT the U.S. would be expected to adhere to it.    The way they plan to control member nations is through a reporting requirement to be updated every five years by each signatory. The purpose of the report is to give the central global government the ability to shame nations every five years.

THEN THERE ARE THE TRIBUNALS.

The U.S. would be subject to judgment from an Orwellian International Tribunal for Climate Justice. Its responsibilities are not yet clear but there is a draft online. The plan was a curse to corporations. American companies could end up being dragged into these courts for socialist enviro-justice and redistribution. It wouldn’t only be corporations, the U.S. taxpayer would also be on the hook.    It gets better. A climate desertification committee also has a type of tribunal as does the carbon pricing panel who would set the global taxes.

REPARATIONS AND THE GREEN CLIMATE SCAM

There were also clauses for reparations that rich countries would be made to pay to the poorer countries.    THE GREEN CLIMATE FUND IS ANOTHER SCAM. It initially required a transfer of  $100 billion a year  from “rich” countries.  That number would be increased – a lot The U.S. would pay “poor” countries  to pollute. The top polluters would pay nothing. The corrupt, anti-American U.N. would handle the moneyTHE U.N. CONTROLS OUR MONEY AND CONGRESS HAD NOTHING TO SAY.    Obama already weaponized the EPA to destroy the fossil fuel industry and had already begun to send our money to the U.N. to line the pockets of terrorist dictators in Banana Republics. Obama took $1 billion from our terrorism fund and sent it to the U.N. No other nation paid a thing.  There is no mechanism to account for how the funds would be used and the U.S. would have no control over the dispersal of the funds.

The Congress would not be able to stop the funding of these programs because of ingenious and corrupt recommendations.   One of the recommendations requires the government to integrate climate resilience planning criteria in all federal programs, such as those that provide transportation funding, “to ensure these projects will last as long as intended.”  The purpose is to redirect all funds to the climate change agenda so Congress would not have control of the funds going out. The agenda was to be insidiously and permanently interwoven throughout every executive agency.

IN SUMMARY, OBAMA VIOLATED THE CONSTITUTION BUT,  “TRUST HIM”

Obama promised the global governance would be transparent though his own government was anything but.   Secretary of State John Kerry rushed ahead with the Paris climate change treaty as the clock ticked down to Donald Trump’s inauguration.

Despite it being a treaty, Obama and the U.N. conspired to rebuild it on a prior treaty – Kyoto. This way, Obama was able to plot with the U.N. and call the Paris treaty an accord.

THE TREATY WAS ILLEGAL BECAUSE IT WAS NOT RATIFIED BY THE SENATE.

The globalist disaster was secretly negotiated without Congress and it would have devastated the U.S. economy. The end result would have meant a lessening of the global atmospheric temperature by .17 degrees by 2100, not enough to matter, but that was never the major goal.

The treaty was planned and deliberately designed to destroy the U.S. economy to level the playing field.

THAT’S WHAT SOCIALISTS DO.

It's not necessary to lie, one only needs to choose right words...

Something to ponder

A lawyer, who had a wife and 12 children, needed to move because his rental agreement was terminated by the owner who wanted to reoccupy the home.

But he was having a lot of difficulty finding a new house.

When he said he had 12 children, no one would rent a home to him because they felt that the children would destroy the place.

He couldn't say he had no children, because he couldn't lie -- we all know lawyers cannot and do not lie.

So he sent his wife for a walk to the cemetery with 11 of their kids.

He took the remaining one with him to see rental homes with the real estate agent.

He loved one of the homes and the price was right -- the agent asked:

"How many children do you have?

He answered: "Twelve."

The agent asked "Where are the others?"

The lawyer, with his best courtroom sad look answered  "They're in the cemetery with their mother."

Shoot Or Don't Shoot ?? ??

Shoot or Don't Shoot ~

A man returns home a day early from a business trip.

It's after midnight.  While in-route home, he asks the cabby if he would be a witness.

The man suspects his wife is having an affair, and he wants to catch her in the act.

For $100, the cabby agrees.

Quietly arriving home, the husband and cabby tip toe into the bedroom.

The husband switches on the lights, yanks the blanket back and there is his wife, naked as a jay bird, with a man, totally nude also.

The husband puts a gun to the naked man's head.

The wife shouts,

Don't do it!  I lied when I told you I inherited money.

HE paid for the Porsche I gave you.

HE paid for your new 25 ft. Ranger Fishing Boat.

HE paid for your Football season tickets.

HE paid for our house at the lake.

HE paid for your Golf Trip to St Andrews and your new 4 x 4.

HE paid for our country club membership and he even pays the monthly dues.

And because of HIM, I can put an extra $2,000 in our checking account each month."

Shaking his head from side-to-side, the husband lowers the gun.

He looks over at the cabby and says, "What would you do?"

The cabby replies, "I'd cover him with that blanket, before he catches a cold."

Even though he was alive over 100 years ago, the observations he made on the deteriorating nature of women seem to have gone its full course, meaning that the article certainly would not be published today. We are the unfortunate men who are forced to deal with Tesla’s disturbingly accurate predictions. GLOBALISIM: UN Targets 'Cultural Appropriation'; & Especially US

UN Targets 'Cultural Appropriation'

Thomas Gallatin · Jun. 19, 2017

“Cultural appropriation” is a popular term used by social justice warriors (SJWs) to vilify those who adopt ideas, styles, dress, expressions, cuisine or social practices from cultures not their own. That used to be known here as the American melting pot, but SJWs claim this is a form of racial oppression. Well, the United Nations has decided that “cultural appropriation” has become a big issue — so much so that delegates from 189 countries are gathering for a specialized international committee meeting in Geneva in order to declare the practice illegal and work toward creating international laws to prevent it.

The goal of the UN, says James Anaya, dean of law at the University of Colorado, should be to “obligate states to create effective criminal and civil enforcement procedures to recognize and prevent the non-consensual taking and illegitimate possession, sale and export of traditional cultural expressions.” You heard that right — the UN should require governments of the world to create laws which prevent citizens from engaging in the traditions of other cultures. This is ironic given that the constant mantra from the UN and the Left has been calls for greater diversity and globalism. This is a call to tribalism.

In reality, this UN special committee is working to prevent the cultural and economic development of some nations, and the U.S. in particular. Our entire history is one of engaging in the adoption and blending of a multitude of various cultural traditions and practices into one — e pluribus unum. The UN evidently views the concept of a melting pot as racist and oppressive. Just another issue for those disgruntled nations within the UN to use to demonize the U.S.

And that really seems to be the point. Much of the world rejects those foundational values espoused in the U.S. Constitution. Whether it is the right to bear arms or the right to freedom of speech, those are values that many of the world’s intellectual elites find repugnant, because those rights prevent them from controlling people. Liberty prevents them from being able to rule the world according to their own ideals. It allows for the common man to express his own opinions and values. To put it bluntly, this is an attempt to squelch that Liberty.

Won't See Photo Or Story On Network Tv, You Be Judge

YOU WON'T SEE THIS PHOTO OR THIS STORY ON NETWORK TV,

YOU BE THE JUDGE ----------

BY: JOSEPH CURL, THE DAILY WIRE

MAY 30, 2017

President Trump on Monday marked his first Memorial Day as commander in chief, heading to Arlington National Cemetery through the throngs of motorcycles participating in Rolling Thunder to place a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.

The large audience packed into the cemetery’s amphitheater cheered when Trump was introduced, and the president delivered a powerful tribute to Americas fallen service members, calling them angels sent to us by God.

To every Gold Star family, God is with you, and your loved ones are with him, Trump said. They died in wars so that we could live in peace. Every time you see the sun rise over this blessed land, please know your brave sons and daughters pushed away the night and delivered for us all that great and glorious dawn.

Of course, you wouldn't know that Trump did that if you looked at the top newspapers in the country.

In fact, you wouldn't even know that Monday was Memorial Day, or that nearly every town across the United States held a parade to honor America's troops.

The New York Times didn't have anything on its front page about Memorial Day.

It used a small teaser box at the bottom left corner to tout a story about "a soccer star's farewell to A.S. Roma," whatever that is.

Not a word or a picture dedicated to America's military branches and their sacrifice.

The Washington Post front page was full of anti-Trump stories, "Serving Intelligence to Trump in Small Bites" and "Budget Would Cut Civil Rights Position," to name a few.

And the main art showed a factory in Kentucky, not Trump or America's veterans.

The paper, whose new motto is "Democracy Dies in Darkness," did feature one tiny picture at the bottom of the page with a referral to the Metro page for a story about Memorial Day, but no mention or photo of Trump.

Only USA Today, among the country's biggest papers, featured a shot of Trump laying the wreath, with a reference to an inside story and more pictures.

But here's the shot that, had former president Barack Obama done it, would've put him on every front page across the country.

Since it was Trump, though, the country's liberal papers decided not to print it.

The boy's name is Christian Jacobs, 6, and he's dressed like a Marine because his father, Marine Sgt. Christopher Jacobs, was killed during a training accident in California in 2011.

A great picture of America's president on Memorial Day.

And every newspaper that didn't run it -- for purely partisan reasons -- ought to be ashamed.
