Pairs Progress

I have been working on something for pairs that appears to be very promising. It is doing very well in the pick 3 and with any luck, I might be able to move this to the pick 4 by the beginning of November. I am taking this slowly so I can make the most of it while the cycle is in. All systems/methods work, the trick is to recognize when the odds are not in your favor.

The Walking Dead

Watching this right now.

Note: Although this is 1 of my favorite shows, it's sad, because I see people in America looking like this everyday. If we don't wake up soon, that show will really depict our own reality, in the near future. { Food For Thought }

Los Angeles (CNN) -- Actress Halle Berry and husband, Olivier Martinez, welcomed the birth of their first son Saturday.

A representative for Berry would not share any other details about the boy -- Berry's second child -- including where he was born or his name.

The Oscar-winner has a 5-year-old daughter with ex-boyfriend Gabriel Aubry.

Berry, 47, married Martinez, 47, in a private ceremony in France in July. It is the third marriage for the Berry, who revealed in April that she was expecting a baby with the French actor.

Berry and Martinez began their relationship last year after meeting on the set of the film "Dark Tide."

Martinez was by her side through the last months of her bitter custody battle with Aubry, the Canadian model who fathered daughter Nahla.

They reached "an amicable agreement" over custody in November, a week after a Thanksgiving Day fistfight in Berry's Hollywood driveway between Martinez and Aubry.

Berry was previously married to former pro baseball player David Justice -- from 1993 until 1996 -- and singer Eric Benet -- from 2001 to 2004.

"This has been the biggest surprise of my life, to tell you the truth," Berry told CNN when discussing her pregnancy in April. "I thought I was kind of past the point where this could be a reality for me. So it's been a big surprise and the most wonderful."

Police are now offering SmartWater kits to people in the local area who want  to protect their property against thieves.

Met  police detective inspector Madeline Ryder said: "This is another excellent  example of the thorough work completed by Brent Officers.

"Using the trap car technology, we were able to charge Askale and put him  before the courts.

"The trap car forms part of an overall crime reduction strategy designed by  SmartWater, which is an effective weapon in the armoury of tools that we  routinely use in Brent.

"We will continue to target those who are insistent on committing these types  of offence."

Venus Williams advances

Updated: September 25, 2013, 10:52 AM ET
Associated Press

TOKYO --  Venus Williams rallied from a set down to defeat Simona Halep of Romania 4-6, 7-5, 6-3 Wednesday and reach the quarterfinals of the Pan Pacific Open.

Williams, making her first appearance in the Tokyo tournament since 2009, broke serve to lead 5-3 in the third set at Ariake Colosseum. She then won with a crosscourt forehand that No. 13-seeded Halep hit into the net.

"It was a very tough match," Williams said. "She played very well. I don't know how I was able to win the match. I just wanted to stay in Japan longer."

Williams, who ousted top-seeded Victoria Azarenka on Tuesday, will face Canada's Eugenie Bouchard in the quarterfinals.

Bouchard upset sixth-seeded Jelena Jankovic of Serbia 7-5, 6-2.

Making her debut in the Tokyo tournament, Bouchard broke Jankovic to go up 5-2 in the second set and then held serve to win.

Jankovic had a 5-4 lead in the first set but Bouchard won the last three games after a talk with her coach.

"I felt like I wasn't playing my best in the first set," Bouchard said. "But I stayed with her and started to get a lot more aggressive near the end of the first set and that was the turning point."

The 46th-ranked Bouchard won last year's junior Wimbledon title.

"That gave me a lot of confidence to play in the pros," Bouchard said. "Playing week in, week out against the top players has made me a better player."

In other third-round matches, fourth-seeded Caroline Wozniacki defeated Magdalena Rybarikova 6-1, 6-1, and second-seeded Agnieszka Radwanska beat Dominika Cibulkova 6-3, 6-4.

Fifth-seeded Angelique Kerber of Germany defeated No. 11-seeded Ana Ivanovic of Serbia, 6-4, 6-2, and Lucie Safarova of the Czech Republic beat No. 12-seeded Samantha Stosur of Australia, 6-4, 6-4.
