Let’s look past the typical avalanche of noisy predictions into the insanity that’s ahead in 2013. First, the final phase of the 2008 crash that the Pessimist sees coming. Then, the  stock market’s surprising 2012 trouncing of the New Normal’s predicted single-digits returns.

Finally, we’ll examine four unpredictable black swans that can easily spoil Wall Street’s party in 2013.

Pessimist sees the final phase of the 2008 crash dead ahead

Remember, Wall Street’s disastrous 2008 credit crash cost investors over $10 trillion in losses and drove the federal debt above $16 trillion. Whatever the President and Congress do with the fiscal cliff, America’s debt will keep rising.

Bloomberg Market exposed this danger in an article about  bond investor Jeffrey Gundlach, who’s doing a flip-flop as we speak: “Bond guru buying stocks. Sees ‘Kaboom’ Ahead,” something overwhelming that will even dwarf the bizarre fiscal-cliff insanity: Yes, there’s a “financial catastrophe on the horizon.”

Gundlach, the CEO of DoubleLine Capital, who predicted the 2008 Wall Street credit meltdown, says it’s real damage is still to come. Earlier at TCW Group, he had a 7.9% annual average return for the 2000-2009 decade. He warns: “The first phase of the coming debacle consisted of a 27-year buildup of corporate, personal and sovereign debt. That lasted until 2008.”

Then all that cheap money “finally toppled banks and pushed the global economy into a recession, spurring governments and central banks to spend trillions of dollars to stimulate growth.” America piled on an estimated $29.7 trillion in debt in the shadow markets.

No early warning signal when new bank meltdown hits

Gundlach’s now predicting an “ominous third phase,” a bigger crash, one whose impact will far exceed the damage of 2008: “Deeply indebted countries and companies” won’t default till after 2013.” Meanwhile, Washington and the Fed will keep kicking the can down the fiscal road. “Central banks may forestall these defaults by pumping even more money into the economy,” but “at the risk of higher inflation in coming years.”

He admits he doesn’t really know exactly when this final phase will trigger, but warns you’re not “going to get some sort of an early warning” signal. He has “no faith” that any fiscal-cliff deal will resolve the deficit.

“Tax hikes on the wealthy wouldn’t bring in enough revenue” and politicians won’t “make major cuts in entitlement programs because the public overwhelmingly supports them.” Yes, Washington is setting up a new crash….

• Fiscal Cliff Deal Would Add Trillions to Deficit

This afternoon, in one of the more bizarre appearances of his presidency,  Barack Obama gave a televised address to a room full of supporters on the “fiscal cliff.” He broke no news, but mocked Congress, and hinted at future tax  hikes. Observers worried that he may have deliberately scuttled a potential  agreement.

Even though he has come off his last campaign for political office, President  Obama acted like a candidate on the campaign trail–one prepared to use whatever  political capital he had accumulated to take shots at the opposition in Congress  at the very moment leaders from both sides are trying to work together.

Less a President, Obama behaved more like an ESPN talking-head making fun of  RG III’s knee injury.

Obama’s address, which you can watch below, was held basically to announce  that some other people are working on solving the “fiscal cliff” crisis. They  are close, Obama reported, but they aren’t quite there yet. He then proceeded to  make some jokes about Congress, to warm applause from his selected audience.  Smug doesn’t come close to capturing the true nature of his tone.

We need to organize a citizens arrest of all parties involved in the various criminal acts that have put our country as well as our world in jeopardy. Hopefully there are some Sheriffs, US Marshals, and military personnel that will remember their oaths to this country upon the taking of this action by the people and lend their support and expertise in bringing known criminals to justice.

What we must do.

The time has come. There are many, many reasons as to why it has come to this but the most important ones are as follows:

First of all it should be perfectly clear that the voting system is not only rigged but also criminally negligent in the handling of our elections from at least 2000 if not further back.

Secondly it should be abundantly clear that the US government has declared war on the American people via such illegal acts as the Homeland Security, Patriot, and National Defense Authorization acts as ALL of the aforementioned acts violate the plain english of the Constitution in one way shape or form.

Third the Supreme Court has failed us in their duty to hear such Constitutional violations much less put a stop to them.

Fourth the President has made himself dictator through various presidential signing statements.

Fifth the US Government has allowed corporations to give orders to America via wars of aggression for resources as well as the many bank bailouts which essentially amount to strong armed robbery of North America as well as the rest of the world.

And finally the police, military, courts, politicians, etc. have failed us in their duty to protect us from tyranny and to have stopped this tyranny from ever having taken hold in the first place.

Q: Is this a protest? A: No, this is citizen action to organize a citizens arrest of the criminal element within the United States government.

Q: How are we supposed to arrest government officials if we are unarmed? A: If we have large enough numbers nothing is impossible. The Colonies defeated the British with only 3% of the population being loyal to the rebels.

Q: Wont they just arrest or shoot us? A: Yes they will attempt to arrest or shoot us but they are already doing that at many protests around the country. If we can gather just 3% of the population at the Capital this amount will be far too many for them to be able to arrest or shoot easily. Lets hope they are stupid enough to tryand arrest or kill that many Americans as we believe this will bring the Oath Keepers, sympathetic military, and general armed populace to our aid securing the moral high ground with the people.

They only understand how to control violent attack as when they are attacked they can claim the moral high ground as it has been with the last few illegal wars claiming Iraq and Afghanistan had been a threat to the US. Margin Debt Soars To 2008 Levels As Everyone Is “All In”, Levered, And Selling Vol

There were some readers who took offense at our “bloodbath” recap of yesterday’s markets action (modestly different from that provided by MarketWatch). And, all else equal, a modest 28 step drop in the E-Mini/SPX would hardly be earthshattering. However, all else was not equal, and based on peripheral facts, the reason for our qualifier is that as of last week virtually nobody was prepared for a move as violent and sharp as the one experienced in the last minutes of trading yesterday. In such a context a “mere” 1.5% drop in the futures market has a far more pronounced impact on participants than a 10% or even 5% drop would have had, had traders been positioned appropriately. They weren’t. So what was the context? Let’s find out.

First as the NYSE just reported margin debt just soared to a near five year high, with Margin Debt at a whopping $327 billion, surpassing the highest print since the Lehman collapse, and the highest level since February 2008. Not only is everyone all in based on , but they are all in on nearly record amounts of leverage.

I believe it is time to review the 1775-1783 REVOLUTIONARY WAR where Americans won their Independence FOR THEIR CONSTITUTION against England.

It is very interesting, in that the people in America felt they were being taxed without representation in 1776…. hhmmm… sounds a little familiar.

Also that England was doing things against their “constitutional rights” during that time.   hhmm…. that also sounds familiar.

The Americans The Americans began the war with significant disadvantages compared to the British. They had no national government, no national army or navy, no financial system, no banks, no established credit, and no functioning government departments, such as a treasury. The Congress tried to handle administrative affairs through legislative committees, which proved inefficient. In peacetime the colonies relied heavily on ocean shipping, but that was now shut down by the British blockade. The Americans had a large, relatively prosperous population (when compared to other colonies) that depended not on imports but on local production for food and most supplies, something the British could not sufficiently rely on. They were on their home ground, had a smoothly functioning, well organized system of local and state governments, newspapers and printers, and internal lines of communications. I found this history very interesting.  It seems that the people had enough of a tyranny government that was taxing and trying to control everything they did.  The people also stood up saying it was unconstitutional.

WOW… it sure is great going back in history especially since we now have a run away government and every elected official has become a traitor to the country.  They have passed legislation over and over again that directly conflicts with our constitution.  From the NDAA bill that allows the detaining of U.S. citizens without any rights, the new bill they just passed that allows all of our electronic emails to be read without warrents and now they are going to take our guns.   Besides that we are now treated as criminals and terrorist and have to prove our innocence instead of being the other way around.

We have a treasonous government that does not recognize the constitution in any form anymore.  They have locked us up in an Orwellian world.  We are watched when driving down the road and walking down the street.  Who knows how they can see into our homes and bedrooms now.   (besides of course phones doing that)

I for one do not understand how the people of this country don’t give a <snip> about their country and what the government does to them.  I guess they are too zombied out and brainwashed with their little smart phones that mean more to them then freedoms.

We have traitors of our constitution and country that are making the laws of this country.  But the laws were all ready set in 1776 when Americans won a hard fought Revolutionary war for their FREEDOMS!

One thing is for sure the Americans of 1776 had the balls to stand up to tyranny and traitors…… Funny how during that time they called those who stood up for their country “Patriots” now they call those who stand up for their country “terrorists.”  Kind of funny how that has turned around…. who would have ever thought people would be considered “terrorists” for being a constitutional law abiding citizen?

With the Feinstein bill in the Senate to confiscate guns including hand guns and registration of all guns, I believe we need to look at current history of what happen if that is allowed to occur.

It is now time to look at the most recent country that was a Democracy that had 3 levels of government for protection.  Zimbabwe, believe it or not had an Executive, Legislative and Judicial branches of government for shared power before 1980 when Mugabe was “elected” as President.  Since 2000 the structure of government completely collapsed.

“Zimbabwe police have ordered all civilians to surrender firearms in what insiders said was a precautionary measure in a charged country after the government demolished thousands of homes and informal businesses in a controversial urban clean-up exercise.

“Police at the weekend said they were revoking licences for all automatic rifles and some types of pistols and said civilians owning such weapons had until today to surrender them.

“The law enforcement agency did not give reasons for the action but warned Zimbabweans that they could be prosecuted for failing to hand in their guns.”

 

This is no trivial matter. On June 7, 2005, the International Association of Genocide Scholars published a warning about the looming danger of mass murder by government in Zimbabwe.

Notice that the genocide scholars do see the danger — but they fail to point out that “gun control” with follow-up gun confiscation are two key elements to making the Zimbabwe persecution and genocide possible. Civilian disarmament laws work against people protecting themselves and their families. Those laws (when obeyed) leave the disarmed people subject to persecution and destruction.

The genocide scholars don’t get it. The civilian disarmament (“gun control”) advocates and lobbyists don’t get it.

What will it take for American gun owners and pro-rights citizens to unify against “gun control” and proclaim the vicious injustice that “gun control” laws impose upon innocent people?

What is absolutely reprehensible is the fact that England and the Western countries have supported Mugabe’s genocide and have looked the other way. At the same time, asked by the BBC Panorama stringers for comment, British deputy high commissioner Roger Martin defended Mugabe’s ethnic cleansing as “comprehensible, it has a certain rationality other than mere brutishness”, he said.

The symbiotic relationship between Mugabe and the British did not end with rhetorical support and money changing hands, but it extended to royal endorsement for Mugabe and his policies.

In 1994 the queen of England invited Mugabe to England’s Buckingham Palace and Knighted him with the Order of Bath when Mugabe’s hands were still dripping with the blood of black civilians slaughtered in the Gukurahundi genocide.

When I have written “We are going Zimbabwe in regards to the money printing the U.S. is doing in previous articles, I had no idea we were going Zimbabwe in all respects.

I have to wonder if there are those at the top of the current U.S. government that have studied history and how to take over and create a dictatorship through “doing the best for the people?”

Also it is interesting to see where so many people’s mindset is in this country when I read comments about the gun ban.  I see so many calling gun owners “murderers, terrorists, criminals, etc. just for owning a gun.  WOW, who knew that utilizing the 2nd amendment of our constitution would become a criminal event…..

Oh, one other thing… seems the morning shows aren’t mentioning the confiscation of hand guns as part of their news…..  so funny how the network medias work.  Guess they don’t want to let the public as a whole know the government is going for confiscation and registration…. which could possibly lead to ALL confiscation and genocide of the people of the United States when there are no more rights by laws created, by those in Washington for the citizens of the U.S. I am not saying genocide is planned in the U.S., I am saying that history shows genocide happens when the citizens of countries are disarmed for the “betterment of the country and the people’s good.”

I am simply stating history with this article and stating the obvious.  Those who are in Washington D.C. took the oaths to uphold our Constitution and Bill of Rights in these United States, but they have done the opposite.  At what point will we demand our rights be returned and our Constitution be reinstated?   Also by asking these questions and stating the obvious does that make me a “criminal”?   If so… that would mean our 1st amendment is also gone.

I don’t believe we will be able to stop any confiscation of guns because the reality is they will go to individual homes with Swat teams etc.   There is no mass defending of our rights individually.  I believe it will need to be through our justice system and waking people up to the fact we don’t have rights anymore.   I believe the military will need to take a hard look at the destruction of our Bill of Rights and the treason that is being committed.  They took an oath to defend the constitution of the United States. 

Where on this Earth and in what country are people really free?  Tell me that and there will be a mass exodus of Americans.

As of November of 2012, a mind-numbing 47.7 million Americans subsist on taxpayer-funded food stamps.  One in seven Americans cannot feed himself or herself with a job or work of any kind.  What constitutes the irony to this national tragedy?  Answer: our U.S. Congress imports 100,000 legal immigrants into the USA with green cards every 30 days.

No matter how much poverty and unemployment blacks, whites and Hispanic Americans suffer– the leaders of this country continually pound more humans into the mix without pause.  At the same time, food banks go belly up with bare shelves. Over 13 million American children live in destitute poverty and cannot secure three square meals per day.

While Congress supports our enormous military spending into the trillions of dollars and two 10 year long wars that devour (ed) money—it fails to create jobs and feed our poorest.  It fails the fundamental rights of our own citizens to work and eat.

Some kind of moral, ethical and spiritual wrong grows in the nation’s capitol all the way up to the president.  American citizens become its victims.

What has been going on in Washington, D.C., since the financial meltdown of 2008 has been a disaster for the country.  Taxpayers bailed out crooked, incompetent bankers while tens of millions lost their homes and jobs.  The bailouts have cost trillions of dollars, and they’re not finished.  The Federal Reserve has set a key interest rate to near zero percent until 2015, and it is printing $85 billion a month to prop up the banks and our own government.  The Fed calls this little operation “open-ended.”  No one has gone to jail for causing this enormous hardship on ordinary Americans, and not a word is spoken in the halls of Congress about stopping the bailouts or bringing criminals to justice.  This is immoral, disgusting, repugnant, nonexistent leadership.

This could have been handled in 2008 with the debt wiped clean.  We should have only protected depositors.  Bankers, bondholders and shareholders be <snip>ed—that’s capitalism.  It would have cost about $6 trillion back then, and we’d be on our way to a real recovery by now.  That is exactly what Iceland did.  It told bankers, shareholders and bondholders to take a big hit instead of giving a bailout for incompetence and fraud.  Oh, and it prosecuted the bankers and government officials that allowed the implosion to happen!  (Click here for more on Iceland’s turnaround.)  Instead, the Federal Reserve alone pumped out $16 trillion in the wake of the 2008 meltdown.  That is only part of the banker bailout that is still going on to the tune of $40 billion a month.  Not a single financial elite has been prosecuted and put behind bars for obvious crime and fraud—not one!

Meanwhile, the dog and pony show called the “fiscal-cliff” is playing out like a gigantic blame game.  All we have to hear is the splat for the finger pointing to kick into high gear.  Both Democrats and Republicans are to blame for not standing up and making the hard choices to put the country on firm financial footing.  They may act stupid, but I believe they know full well what’s going on.  Renowned gold expert, Jim Sinclair, has a saying for things like this, “It’s too stupid to be stupid.”   Meaning, it’s intentional. 

Our own elected leaders turn a blind eye and a deaf ear to fraud and crime year after year.  The government also allows the banks to value assets at whatever they think they will be worth in the future.  This government sanctioned accounting fraud has been allowed since April of 2009.  Meaning, the Fed can’t print money fast enough to fix the gigantic mess.  Meanwhile, the Federal Reserve continues buying $40 billion a month in “toxic” mortgage debt created by the bankers.  This stuff was supposed to be “Triple A” rated debt, equal to the “risk free return” of Treasury bonds.  Imagine the government selling you Treasury bonds and later tell you they are “toxic.”  Wouldn’t that be outright fraud?  You bet it would, and yet not a word from our leaders about the Fed buying this junk at a rate of $40 billion a month to infinity.  JP Morgan Chase just paid nearly $300 million in fines to settle fraud charges brought by the SEC.  JP Morgan paid a $150 billion fine last year for the same thing.  Other big banks are also guilty of fraud in the mortgage arena.  Why isn’t Congress holding hearings?  Why isn’t the Justice Department handing out indictments?  Oh, we did get a deal on the “robo-signing” fiasco that let bankers off the hook for foreclosure fraud and perjury.  Thanks, Congress, for letting your campaign donors, I mean bankers, slide again.

The LIBOR (London Inter-Bank Offered Rate) rate rigging scandal is another enormous fraud on a global scale.  LIBOR sets rates for as much as $800 trillion in transactions worldwide.    More than a dozen big banks are involved in rigging this rate, and what are they getting for punishment?  Most recently, UBS was hit with a $1.5 billion fine. Why aren’t there indictments and Congressional hearings to get to the bottom of this rip-off?

How about money laundering for Mexican drug cartels and terror groups that HSBC recently admitted to doing over several years?  Where’s the outrage?  How about some criminal charges?  Why isn’t Congress pressing the Obama Administration for answers just like the “Fast and Furious” gun running scandal?  Isn’t laundering billions of dollars for drug cartels and terrorists worthy of a little attention by our government?  HSBC CEO Stuart Gulliver did admit to “stunning failures” and said, “We have said we are profoundly sorry for them, and we do so again.”  (Click here for the complete story from Reuters.)  The CEO is “profoundly sorry”?  How about profoundly guilty of crime against this country!!

Let’s go back to the so-called “Fiscal Cliff.”  Everybody in Congress knows what the real story is.  The U.S. takes in a little more than $2 trillion in taxes, and it spends a little more than $3 trillion.  The real deficit for last year alone was $7 trillion (if you count everything) according to John Williams of Shadowstats.com.  I am talking about the same accounting the government requires of business called GAAP (generally accepted accounting principles).  Fixing this mess means we will have to spend a lot less and, yes, taxes will have to go up.  This will be very painful for everybody, and I mean everybody.  The rich, the poor, the young and old will have to suffer to fix this mess.  It will take years, and we will not just “grow” our way out of this one.  We’ve been told the “growth” lie for years, and the only thing that has grown is the debt and deficit of the U.S.  If we don’t fix this mess, then that pain I’m telling you about is going to be much worse, and our very country will be at great risk.

There’s not a word about the real financial problems of the country with the “Fiscal Cliff” negotiations from either party. As Mr. Sinclair says, “This is too stupid to be stupid.”  I say, in Washington, D.C., we have bagmen, not statesmen.  For this, the country will pay dearly.       

As they typically do following high-profile shooting incidents, liberals are  taking advantage of the Sandy Hook tragedy and the Jovan Belcher/Kasandra  Perkins murder-suicide to turn up the volume in the debate over one of their  favorite issues: gun control.  To liberals, the solution to every problem  is the same: pass another law and increase the size of government.  But  liberal solutions do not work and never will work because they ignore some  obvious truths. For example, here is a truth that liberals admit but like to  ignore: The government spends billions on its so-called “war on drugs,” but to  no avail.  Drug use is higher than it has ever been. Immigration laws do  little to deter illegal immigration.  They just create jobs for criminals  who specialize in circumventing the laws. Prohibition did not stop the sale and  consumption of alcohol.  It just created a black market for liquor, a  market that flourished.  New gun-control laws will be equally ineffective,  and liberals know it.

Why are liberals so determined to avoid dealing with the hard truths about  gun violence in America? It’s because they can’t handle the truth. The first and  most important truth that must be faced about gun-violence in America is that  liberals who are so vocal about passing gun-control laws are hypocrites—they are  not interested in reducing gun violence in the first place.  They are  simply pandering to naïve Americans and those poor grieving families of shooting  victims to make it appear that they care and are doing something.

Commenting on the gun-control debate, my business partner and friend, Sean  Aland, likes to say: “In America, we have a heart problem, not a gun problem.” Another way to say the same thing is this: Push God aside and you will have  Godlessness.  Consequently, for liberal pundits and politicians to wring  their hands and wonder aloud what is happening to America is nothing but  theater.  What is happening to America is that we are reaping the harvest  of what liberals have been sowing for more than 40 years, a truth liberals can’t  handle.

Another truth liberals can’t handle is that moral relativism is at the heart  of America’s moral demise and, in turn, gun violence. Liberals have sold America  on the lie that there are no absolutes, that right and wrong are relative  concepts.  According to liberals, what is right for you may not be right  for someone else.  Here is the hard truth about moral relativism that  liberals do not want to discuss:  If liberals are correct that there are no  absolutes and we can all determine what is right, why should anyone be surprised  when a young man chooses to act out his hostility toward the world using an  automatic weapon. Moral relativism is the cause of the breakdown in American  society that led to Sandy Hook and other incidents of gun violence.  This  is the truth, but liberals can’t handle the truth.

Protecting Roe v. Wade is the holy grail of liberalism.  Consequently,  while they weep—as they should—for the innocent children who were brutally  murdered at Sandy Hook, liberals shed not a tear for the thousands who are  murdered in the womb every year under the guise of “choice.”  The only  difference between the children who were slaughtered at Sandy Hook and those  slaughtered in abortion clinics every year is their age. A society cannot choose  to kill unborn babies for the sake of convenience and expect that this heinous  practice will not coarsen the attitudes of people toward human life.  This  is the truth, but liberals can’t handle the truth.

Gun-control liberals support Hollywood, and Hollywood supports  liberals.  Yet every year Hollywood turns out another crop of disgusting  movies that portray gratuitous violence, rape, and hedonism as not just normal  but heroic.  This is also true of computer games—Adam Lanza’s favorite  pastime—and television, yet the filth and violence in movies, computer games,  and television comports perfectly with the moral relativism of liberals.   Liberals in Hollywood regularly turn out some of the most violent movies  imaginable while hypocritically decrying the violence we observe daily in  America. Even a fool would know that young people cannot grow up on a steady  diet of gratuitous violence and not be affected by it.  This is the truth,  but liberals can’t handle the truth.  One final truth liberals can’t handle  is this: it’s not what’s in a man’s hand that makes him a killer it’s what’s in  his heart—or better yet, what’s not in his heart.

Over the weekend a mainstream media web site on the east coast published, presumably in the interest of public safety, a complete list of individuals and businesses that are licensed to carry or own handguns.

Much to the amusement of those who would confiscate firearms from law abiding citizens, the list, complete with an interactive map, essentially allows those who are preparing to commit such crimes as burglary, robbery or worse to locate specific addresses where residents are armed. The problem, of course, is that in their haste to publicly out and embarrass legal gun owners, The Journal News actually did exactly the opposite of the intended purpose of their exclusive breaking report.

You see, now when a criminal gang decides to target a particular home they can utilize the new map to zoom in on specific homes in a neighborhood to determine if they will be faced with any sort of danger should they choose to attack a particular target.

Put yourself into the criminal mind and consider what you might do should you be compelled to rob a home or business at gunpoint. With that new map available to you, would you be headed to the residence where there is a strong likelihood that someone is armed, or would you skip over that particular house and head to where you know there would be little, if any, resistance?

It’s the epitome of irony.

When gun-grabbers and their ilk laugh about the new interactive map publicly exposing lawful gun owners, what they have actually done is outed those citizens who have no means of defending themselves.

It’s pretty safe to say that if one were to have a sign placed in front of their home, Americans would overwhelmingly prefer to have this one:

In the near future criminals are going to realize the internet is a powerful tool for determining the feasibility of striking certain targets. It’s only a matter of time beforeflash mobs begin to organize, not against gas stations or pharmacies, but private citizens and residences. Should such a thing happen, and fifty people kick in your door and intend to have their way with your family and property, those millions of assault rifles that have been flying off the shelves around the country are going to come in real handy.

While we cherish our privacy and agree that the outing of gun owners has gone beyond responsible journalism, if their is going to be a list, we’d rather be on the one that has our residence listed as heavily armed as opposed to the alternative.

You may be one of those proud non-gun owners who didn’t make the east coast list.

And if you are, you should be terrified, because you may very well be in grave danger.
