David Huff, 46, won $5 million playing the Georgia Lottery instant game Georgia's $500 Million Club.
Circle K Stores #6678, 215 Fourth St. in Columbus, sold the winning ticket. The father of four scratched the ticket just outside of his car. What he discovered, Smith said, was unbelievable.
"I broke my glasses trying to look at the ticket," he said. "I was sure of what I saw, so I had to take a deep breath."
Smith, who likes to go fishing, plans to buy a boat, a house and a car.
"I want to carry on with life as it is now," he said. "I just haven't gotten over the feeling yet."
i drove down to dalton and bought about 10 of those tickets when it first came out but i only won more tickets so i havent tried to buy anymore since then. i think they said 5 jackpots are left when i was down there yesterday but maybe its only 4 now...

I am happy to read he wasn't driving the car while he was scratching! What a feeling is right! Can't imagine. I haven't purchased an instant game ticket in a long time, but I always take it home. I'd be too nervous about yelling "Whoopee!!! and throwing up my hands up and losing the ticket or maybe stepping on the gas pedal and driving through the store.
I'm waiting for the part of the story where there was some scratch material making the 6 look like an 8 and the Lottery HQ telling him tough tamales. You mean the ticket wasn't defective? He actually won??? The check didn't bounce????

If winning all that money wouldn't have gave me a heart attack, a answer like that would.

I've been trying to find one of those winning tickets myself.

Do you really think he's going to "carry on with life as it is now?"
