Illinois Lottery

The Illinois Lottery held its fourth-ever Millionaire Raffle drawing yesterday — the second on St. Patrick's Day — which instantly created four millionaires.

The complete list of winning numbers for the raffle can be found at Lottery Post's Illinois Lottery Results page (www.lotterypost.com/results/il).

The raffle drawing was held on March 17th — St. Patrick's Day — a day traditionally thought of as "lucky".  The four new millionaires will certainly think so.

In addition to four $1 million top prizes, the St. Patrick's Day Millionaire Raffle also awards five prizes of $100,000 and 500 prizes of $1,000.

Millionaire Raffle is a raffle-style game offered by the Illinois Lottery, with a limited number of $20 tickets.  For this drawing 500,000 tickets were made available for purchase.

With so few tickets available, Millionaire Raffle offers the best odds of any Illinois Lottery game to win $1 million.

Unlike other lotto-style games, the only way to win a prize is to match one of the six-digit numbers drawn exactly.  Matching some of the correct digits or matching a number in a different order does not qualify for a prize.

All prize levels are paid out in cash, including the four jackpot prizes.

Winning tickets must be redeemed within one year of the drawing date.

I waited too long to purchase and it sold out early.  Congratulations to all the winners though Ω

I wasn't a winner.  I had swore off ever playing a raffle again, but got suckered back in with the notion that maybe this time might be different...maybe I might win $1,000 after having played countless numbers of lottery raffles without anything to show for the $20 to $50 bucks I laid out for the single tickets.  From now on, I am sticking to my guns.  I would rather wager $20 bucks for 20 different MM/PB tickets as the way I see it, at least I have 20 chances to win that jackpot, and even if I don't win, I might win one of the lower tier prizes for matching a few numbers.

I won't be a sucker again...just like I am not a sucker to buy any scratch ifs.

But I am not a sore non-winner...congrats to all those who got lucky and won $1 million or $100,000 or $1,000.

HaveAball,

I have my lottery ticket, am grateful, and am ready to claim my sole-jackpot-winning ticket, which will provide me with financial independance!

I am saying the same thing...so you might have to settle for sharing that jackpot with MOI!
