Press Release
BALTIMORE, Md. — Rumors may be swirling, but the lucky Maryland winner who shares in Friday evening's record-breaking $656 million Mega Millions jackpot has not yet come forward.
"Despite numerous rumors to the contrary, no one has come in to claim the prize," said Maryland Lottery Director Stephen Martino. "We will announce when we have a confirmed winner."
The Lottery urges the ticket holder, who has 182 days from the drawing date to claim, to sign the back of his/her ticket, keep it in a safe place and seek financial and/or legal advice. Once the winner comes forward with the ticket and provides proper identification, the Lottery's security division will run the ticket through the validation process. The winner must then decide between the annuity and the cash option. Since there were three jackpot winners (Maryland, Kansas and Illinois), the annuity for each winner is approximately $218 million and the cash option is approximately $158 million. If the winner chooses the annuity, he/she will receive, after taxes, more than $5.59 million annually for 26 years. If the cash option is chosen, the winner will walk away with $105.1 million after taxes.
The winning numbers for this historic drawing were 2, 4, 23, 38, 46 and Mega Ball 23. The winning ticket was purchased at 7-11, located on 8014 Liberty Rd. in Milford Mill. The retailer will receive a $100,000 agent bonus for selling the winning ticket.
LOL !!
Man... now the lottery has turned into 'reality media'
With 3 different states winning, it is only going to get worse, much worse.
bet you another lottery pool scandal will happen
Lottery TV I thought Ms. Wilson was going straight to the LC first thing MOnday Morning......
She is.........as soon as she can find that ticket she couldn't find yesterday
LOL... I forgot she misplaced the ticket....
This story is getting more interesting by the minute. $158 million before taxes split 15 ways should have been sufficient for these Mcdonald employees but perhaps someone got a little greedy.
I don't even tell anybody I play the lottery or even talk about it. The best way is to keep it simple.
ROTFLOLING!
I have to agree with you. That's approx. $10,500,000 each.
If ms Wilson shows up with ticket , her co- workers are going to have a field day about . Then the true saga begin. Anybody need extra butter on their popcorn as this story unfolds?
Good Idea
