Match 5 numbers plus the Hot Ball: Win the jackpot as all-cash, taxes paid

I like the idea of taxes paid. Less headache and less paperwork. Just take the money and enjoy it.

This is the way ALL jackpot lottery games in the United States should be...cash value and taxes paid.  Then there would be truth in advertising since 99 percent of jackpot winners that have a choice opt for the cash value vice the annuity.  And it would get Obama out of lottery winners pockets and keep lottery winners out of jail for tax issues with the I.R.S., which like the E.P.A., seem to have a personal vendetta against companies and organizations someone in the top ranks does not like.  Now if only a state closer to Chicago would join Hot Lotto, I might consider playing it; but there is no way with gas being as high as it is that I would even consider making a drive to Iowa just to play that game.

Get MONEY!!! Winning a JACKPOT lottery is all the HOPE and CHANGE I desire!!!  NOW give me MONEY!US Flag

The guy who won the presidency in 2008 really won the lottery...he is now millions richer, travels in first class style, and even has a staff that would be the envy of the richest Powerball winner (she has a staff of 2). Every night he goes to sleep, he probably plays the close of Dave Chappelle's Show: I'm rich beyatch!

There is a big advantage to this computer game over the other ones Tennessee has:

With this one, Tennessee doesn't get to program the computer.

    Heh,heh,heh,heh,heh...

The Dragon Lady's gonna kill me for that but it had to be said.

She'll probably have those guys in the black helicopters buzzin' my trailer again by noon or so.

They'll probably have the megaphones yellin' stuff at me again:

    "Hey Boy! Whatcha doin' son?"

"Some folks 'roun heah oughta learn to keep they mouths shut, boy!"

    "You heah me, boy?"

And then they'll do the searchlights on me all night again as usual.

    I hate that.

LOL, Are you going to give it a try?

Did you exchange a walk on part in the war ?

For a lead role in a cage?

        will this just got intresting

tn will get hot lotto at 6,160,000 cash

calling all tn players, lets all play and win it  on our first draw for roflz. thanks other states for growing it for tn. losers!

        joking aside

with powerball now 350m, and MM 170, am not liking how am tempted to spend on 3 diff jackpots

thro this is good issue to have! , 3 decent jackpots.

Wow that's amazing.  It looks like they took the old annuity value and made it into the new cash value plus 50K AND taxes paid.  Wonder where the money came from?

money came form Old reserves pools

they always keep money in reserve for these large jackpot games

aka say a jackpot gets won back to back in a roll

, aka a  first draw got won

but there was not a Million plus in sales to support it?

np, they had small % of money  go to reserves thro out all draws over the years

            the reserve fund covers it

they must of been sitting on some millions in reserves, went to hell with it,and made annuity jackpot into cash!

            great for us,

Yeah, I'll try it once just for the Beginners Luck factor.

But long term I'll stick with the Virginia Games cuz they're real mechanical ball drawings.

I looked at virgina last night,I did the 5 plays on the board and got the 6th play...so easy.I will visit my dad  ,be back around 5pm.I will do the workout and email you...let me do a few nights to see how many I can get.My closest state is Kentucky. It takes me 45 minutes to get there..I thought about staying there for a week in franklin.I wont play here anymore.I can get on paper go and play NOTHING....I'm tired of it.I dont believe the plays or their payouts.I think its all  a scam. But anyway I rather go elsewhere.I think I have played the 20 dollar scratch offs about 6 times, buying around 7 to 9 in a roll with nothing ....not even a free ticket.I stop playing...its hard but I did it.My point is if I went to any store and spent 120.00 to 140.00 on a smaller amount I would win something.I will get back with you tonight.....

Game will also see changes to number pool and prizes

                      By Todd Northrop

Starting Sunday, Tennessee Lottery players will be able to purchase tickets for Hot Lotto, a multi-state game currently played in 14 states and Washington, D.C.

Hot Lotto is a multi-state drawing-style game similar to Powerball and Mega Millions.  The all-cash jackpots begin at $1 million and average between $5 million and $6 million.

Tickets cost $1 each, and a "Sizzler" option that triples all non-jackpot prizes costs an extra $1 per ticket.

Drawings are held every Wednesday and Saturday at 9:40 p.m. Central, with Tennessee's first participating drawing on May 15.

Hot Lotto also sees first changes in 5 years

Also Sunday the Hot Lotto game will undergo its first changes since adding the Sizzler option in 2008.

Eight white ball numbers will be added, increasing the number of white balls from 39 to 47. The Hot Ball numbers remain at 19. Therefore, the new game matrix is 5/47 + 1/19.

The new jackpot odds are 1 in 29,144,841, while the new overall odds of winning are 1 in 17.

The minimum jackpot will continue to be $1,000,000, with each rollover adding at least $50,000.  However the advertised jackpot is now an all-cash "taxes-paid" amount — jackpot winners will be paid out the full advertised amount instead of the previous annuity.

The complete set of new prize payouts are:

                      • Match 5 numbers plus the Hot Ball: Win the jackpot as all-cash, taxes paid
                      • Match 5 numbers without the Hot Ball: $30,000, or $90,000 with Sizzler purchase
                      • Match 4 numbers plus the Hot Ball: $3,000, or $9,000 with Sizzler purchase
                      • Match 4 numbers without the Hot Ball: $100, or $300 with Sizzler purchase
                      • Match 3 numbers plus the Hot Ball: $100, or $300 with Sizzler purchase
                      • Match 3 numbers without the Hot Ball: $6, or $18 with Sizzler purchase
                      • Match 2 numbers plus the Hot Ball: $6, or $18 with Sizzler purchase
                      • Match 1 number plus the Hot Ball: $3, or $9 with Sizzler purchase
                      • Match the Hot Ball only: $2, or $6 with Sizzler purchase

The first drawing that includes the game changes is on Wednesday, May 15.

Hot Lotto winning numbers are published every Wednesday and Saturday on Lottery Post's lottery results page, minutes after the drawing occurs.

The complete list of participating Hot Lotto jurisdictions is:  Delaware, Idaho, Iowa, Kansas, Maine, Minnesota, Montana, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Tennessee, Vermont, Washington, D.C., and West Virginia.

I'll give this game a try. Seems like a resonably-okay ticket. I hate computerized drawings, though.
