Kentucky Lottery players who bought Pick 4 tickets for Monday's midday drawing have an extra chance to win, thanks to an error that occurred during the drawing.
Lottery officials say a ball that was supposed to go into the draw machine's first chamber inadvertently bounced over to the second chamber when loaded. The result was nine balls in the first chamber and 11 in the second.
The lottery then held a second drawing and announced numbers from both drawings would be honored, although payment for the second set won't be immediately available at lottery retailers. The lottery will announce on its website at http://www.kylottery.com when and how payments will be available.
The numbers for the first drawing were 1-7-6-5, and the second drawing was 9-3-4-9.
Good job KY
I feel there's really magnetism involved on those draws.
I guess they now have to have 17 pre draws and 14 post draws to make sure this doesn't happen again.
That's why you want ball drawings. If something goes wrong, it's easy to spot what the problem is and spot that there was a problem in the first place.
Glad they made good, hope there were many winners.
I agree.
wow what about the people that play online.did the company payout for both numbers?my inquiring mind want to know.lol
The players are quite lucky to have another chance to win the game. So sad I've missed that chance I could be one of those players. Well anyways it's okay I will just purchase ticket for the next game.
Hope they don'try to take advantage of this and push for computer draws.
