Through a Spanish-English interpreter and via questioning by her attorney, Bill Ferreira of Morristown, Sanchez indicated in court she was agreeing to the settlement "for the full reconciliation" of her family and so that she can get on with her life.

Neither Quezada nor Sanchez commented afterward, but the judge's and Sanchez's comments referred to Sanchez and the couple's 6-year-old daughter and her other children having moved back last month into the Clifton home they shared with Quezada before the couple's post-lottery breakup.

Is it unreasonable to conclude from these highlighted statements that Ms. Sanchez is the one who tried to leave Mr. Quezada as long as she could get a chunck of the money but when it she realized that she wasn't going to get anything from him so that she could be single and rich, she decides to go back to Mr. Quezada?

The fact that he didn't have to pay her anything to leave but took her back is an indication that he didn't want her to leave. It also explains why the article says that he was depressed.

I automatically assumed that Pedro was the one booting her to the curb so that he could live the rich and single life but it looks like it was the opposite way around.

I think we all owe Pedro Quezada an apology.

In my opinion, it was really Ms. Sanchez who saw the money as her opportunity to leave Pedro and get some of his money. Pedro is the victim here. The fact that he took her back shows that he really loves her.

I praise Pedro and condemn Sanchez.

Valid points, but could it also have been the reason Inez left was seeing Pedro burning all that cash so quickly that she and he fought over that, and she moved out thinking she could collect and put some away. Maybe Pedro has been horrible with money all along and she was the level headed one?

Maybe, maybe not. We don't know.

Well since I never had a problem with Pedro, I know I don't need to be included in the 'all' who owe him an apology.

And once again I ask where is any evidence that Pedro is burning through the money? He gave $5 million to family and friends, so went up to the max without going over and therefore avoided paying extra taxes. He moved a chunk offshore which I think is always a good idea. He bought a very inexpensive house by lottery winners standards. Where in that is proof that he's mindlessly squandering his winnings. On the contrary, the very fact that he didn't blindly hand over his winnings to Inez shows he's doing everything he can to hang on to it. Even if it meant losing her and looking like a louse to the world.

                Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

Hint #1: She filed a restraining order against you.

                Hint #2: She sued you.

You don't need any other reasons to not take this woman back into your life, but I guess that's what having children outside a marriage will force you into. There's a dang good reason to get married -- it gives you rights.

I wish him the best of luck and endless happiness, but I won't be holding my breath expecting it to happen.

OMG, so forgot about threstraining order. That's a giant red flag

But I do concur about wishing him all the best. He's had too much unnecessary hatred directed towards him already.

                    Hi Pia. Love

You could be right. There may have been an arguement about money.

That is the main thing missing from this story and previous articles. Why did she decide to leave?

I remember reading another article on LP about a woman in England who left her husband after "she" won the lottery.

I believe there are a lot of women who dream about winning the lottery so that they can leave their husbands, no?

Money will give them their freedom to escape a loveless relationship.

How do I know this? My wife told me as she was leaving me (she didn't wait to win the lottery either). Sad

That guy had better watch out. He is either going to wind up broke or dead. I would not trust a lady like her.

Get MONEY!!! Winning a JACKPOT lottery is all the HOPE and CHANGE I desire!!!  NOW give me MONEY!US Flag

The guy who won the presidency in 2008 really won the lottery...he is now millions richer, travels in first class style, and even has a staff that would be the envy of the richest Powerball winner (she has a staff of 2). Every night he goes to sleep, he probably plays the close of Dave Chappelle's Show: I'm rich beyatch!
