Illinois is probably using all the lotto $$ as their own to try to solve all those unusual murders that they allowed to get out of hand.

The Powerball/Mega Millions should kick out the State of Illinois and ban them from participating in the game until they can afford to pay up. Don't go dragging other States into your crooked State because your State is too crooked and too cheap to pay you.

I have been wondering WHY they are not doing that. Except we ***ALL*** know why - MONEY! They will not do anything until it hits their bottom line.

None of this makes any sense. Obviously the laws were written so that the only people who are made to go without payment are high $ value winners.

If the IL lottery is paying some tickets (<$600) and disbursing funds to MUSL, and releasing money to cover salaries, then there really isn't an absolute law prohibiting ALL disbursements.

Everyone else in this scenario is getting the money owed to them except IL winners. Talk about fishy.

I might wake up early and go running.  I might also wake up and win the lottery.

The odds are about the same.

It is an Illinois issue.  Other states are paying their winners.
