Starting to see a pattern here. She claimed her ticket back on April1st but the news release didn't go out until yesterday. There was a $169 million PB winner who was also given the courtesy of a three month headstart before their names were released to the media and the wolves.

Glad she found her ticket in the nick of time and hopefully she took the necessary precaution to protect herself. There was a poor guy in Georgia who claimed a prize comparable to hers and within days was involved in a home invasion where he was shot in front of his children.

True, Drenick1, great observation!  Could be a newish, kind east coast type of semi-protection thing! Blue Angel

Having several millions of dollars in my financial accounts means receiving several valuable services each day!

If you play, you have a chance to win. And if you never play, don't bother to ask what number comes out. Congrats to her

I am happy for her that she did not wait until the 15th like some people do and wait until the 15th to file her taxes. The 1 year would have expired on the 14th. Would be terrible to check it then and find out that you would not be able to collect the 472 thousand.

Delaying releasing the info where they are required to do so seems like a good idea. I doubt the laws say when you have to release the info and giving the winner time to collect the winnings and skip town is smart. I hope Calif wises up.

            Im so glad for her.

ME TOO!!! WOW What a find, I could be so lucky(NOT!) GOOD FOR HER, I Love it when Good hard working people win or those that really need it!!!! It makes it all worth it, Irritates me when someone win's that's already well off and it's just an addition to their Millions they already have they shouldn't even be playing! Leave it for those of us that really need it and only spend a dollar or 2 because that's all we can afford and can't even afford to be spending that on Lotto!   Many Blessing to Her and Prayers that people leave her alone! Stay Safe and CONGRATULATIONSBananaParty

Congratulations! I didn't know that ticket would have expired.

I hope that one $2 ticket is the only one that matches all 5 numbers plus the Powerball to win the largest Powerball Jackpot in United States history of over $2 Billion Dollars!

That's just like finding $20 in your pants pocket before putting them in the laundry, except she found $472K! Nice!

Congratulations to her, tat be sweet coin! Smiley Santa
