A man who works in my hospital in Louisville, KY plays $72 everyday on pick 4...he won $100K so far this year.  We played his 4129 for a few days and the nine turned out to be an 8...$2500 out the window.  One of the smarty pants Nurses figured he spends $26K/year on the lottery.  He bought a Caddy with the last win and I said 'why not, it's "free" money'.

Bleudog101, That attitude of lottery winnings being "Free" money will lead to his losing all of his winnings.

CheersI agree (Sherita...)I am thrilled for her.

If you're able to do it, then this is how you do it.

Even if just 1 number multi-times.

Only way to play  and really win $$$ so goo for her

I do similar t her...Now i just really waiting to bank on main one this year (in all feasible combinations) 9531/1935/1359 it's late. Hit this each year here in NC

for 5 years straight the 1935 come out each year all the time(several a year) But this year it has not hit 1x yet.

I hope it is soon. I am doing it quite analogous to her. Congrats to the big winner in SC.

That is why the word free was in quotations, it is not really free afterall.

A Florence, South Carolina, woman cashed in on the largest Pick 4 payout to a single person in S.C. lottery history.

According to lottery officials, the winning tickets were worth a combined $304,000.

The winning combination was her mom's birth date, 1-1-4-3, drawn the evening of September 17.

She played those numbers 30 times. Ten times she played her numbers straight, betting $5 each time to win $250,000.  Twenty times she played her numbers straight/box, betting $1 each time to win $54,000.

The winner, who by South Carolina lottery law is permitted to remain anonymous to the public, invested $70 into the lottery tickets and ended up taking home a $304,000 payday.

She said that was her strategy for winning and has been on and off for two years, but she was still surprised when it paid off in such a big way.

"I screamed," she said when her numbers were drawn. "Now this gives me a chance to help other people."

She told lottery officials she wasn't feeling well that day and wasn't going to play her numbers, when something told her to get up.

"It just came across me," she said. "Now this gives me a chance to help other people."

She plans to keep playing but try her children's birth dates next.

Cruizers on E. Palmetto St. in Florence receives a $3,040 commission for selling the claimed tickets.

            Wow no words just WOW!!

I wonder what the clerk thinks when she runs her ticket 30 times.  More than that... What the people in line behind her think.  Mad

I'm wondering if someone runs their ticket 30 times and wins, does it raise a red flag with lottery officials.

Don't know about other states, but here it will stop when it says liability limit reached or words to that effect.

most states cut off ticket sales when 5 to 10 million worth of possible winning tickets are sold.    So for 7 million liability states.   They only sale 1400 of each number.

Sounds like the mob runs the lottery.  Who are they to decide?
