Cash4Life multi-state lottery game goes daily in July

Cash4Life

Starting July 1, you'll be able to play the multi-state Cash4Life lottery game on a daily basis.

The New York Gaming Commission Monday gave its final approval to the change from twice-weekly to daily drawings. The change was needed to conform with the eight other states that offer the game and have approved daily drawings.

In its current format, Cash4Life has drawings on Mondays and Thursdays.

New York started Cash4Life with New Jersey in 2014. Since then, seven other states have joined: Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, and Virginia.

Cash4Life is a lottery-style game in which players pay $2 and pick five white ball numbers from 1 through 60, and then one number from a second field (the "Cash Ball"). Winning payouts can be the equivalent of $1,000-a-day for life or a lump-sum cash award.

Cash4Life is one of almost a dozen games offered by the New York Lottery, including Lotto, Powerball, Quick Draw, and more.

Actually sounds like a great idea... Wish Lucky 4 Life would follow suit since I don't live in the Cash4Life area!

It appears that this new game has better odds than PB and MM. Good Luck!

I wonder if CA will offer this game. I checked the LP link on this game and the odds are better but with a smaller jackpot.

Finally, two drawings a week was mind-numbing for a game of this magnitude. Now they should move it from $2 to $1 a game.

JP winners seem to be very few and far between. Not sure how daily games are going to change it up that much.

It's gonna make more money for the state's lotteries.

"JP winners seem to be very few and far between"

Truer words have never been spoken.  I've watched this game from it's very first drawing on 6/14/2014 and have never been impressed with it.  It's pricey and it hasn't/doesn't produce many big winners no matter how many states have added it to their line up. New York and New Jersey were first to offer it 2014. Their large populations of lottery players not having produced many winners in the last five years tells me a lot about what players in all of the other states that offer the game think of it.

Daily games certainly aren't going to change the above set of facts at all. G5

You apparently didn't read the article (or the music was too loud to concentrate Jester).  It's NOT a new game and it's NOT in CA.  Looks like you are stuck with CA current offerings!

BuyLow, It is new to the States that are joining it now. CA players are satisfied with the gaming options here. The CA Lottery, Indian Casinos, and the ponies.

What I have heard is that many retirees have not saved for retirement. They may be gambling too much. This topic is a whole one by itself.

I thought the article was crystal clear when it said "New York started Cash4Life with New Jersey in 2014. Since then, seven other states have joined: Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, and Virginia." The only thing that could be added to the article is New Jersey has a "doubler" option.

Wonder what will be said when the mirror game lucky for life that began in 2009 and now played in 14 states goes to every day drawings?
