Put a favicon on my Web page.
I have a web page that I made quite some time ago, but almost never use anymore so far, yesterday I wanted to learn how to put a little picture on the left side of the address bar just as the Lottery Post and many other Web pages have, I tried a few things, but they would not work, then I found a way that does work for my site, Earthlink would not allow an .ico file on the root directory of my Web page no matter what I tried to do, but there was a way that did work and didn't need to have the...

Work.....
Preliminary publication of findings and results will not occur. This means that nothing will be aired concerning the project until basic proof is in place. New IE7 Beta Released
Microsoft released a new beta of IE7 on Match 20th, which seems to resolve many (but not all) display glitches that the older beta had. Also, the rich text editor support seems to be better and faster. I still wouldn't recommend that regular web surfers install it, because it is still a work in progress, and many websites do not work properly with it yet. However, website developers should probably get it at this point, because there are changes that will be required to webs...

Vista-to-XP ratio getting much better
Webmasters can be obsessive about Web browser statistics, such as what browser people are using, what version number, etc. Another statistic that can be an important tell is what operating system people are using, because it telegraphs a lot of information about your visitors' computers and capabilities. For example, someone using Windows 98 is going to have an old, very underpowered PC, whereas someone using Windows Vista will tend to have a more modern,...
