I am going to try to change the rules about annonymity...
This is New Jersey's rule: Winner(s) of either the Jackpot Prize or a prize of $250,000 shall be required, at the discretion of the Lottery, to participate in a press conference. A press conference is an interview with television, radio and/or newspaper reporters, and photographers. The press conference will be scheduled by the Lottery.

real drawings and predetermined draws
four4me said: ... i don't know anyone who works at our local TV station to verify any of this. As you know, LosingJeff and I spent years investigating the crooked practices of the Hoosier Lottery (which still operates unabated). We didn't know the people we needed to speak with, either, so we simply introduced ourselves and told them what we wanted. You'll discover that the programming director at your local television station will be happy to talk to you, and might even give you vi

Agent provacateurs
yep.just imagine we are being watched on the alien television network.hell those critters know that bin laden is in some cave north of tora tora and they are sitting there laughing and wondering how we can't even get to the man.we found saddam in his little cubbyhole and i'm pretty sure they split milk and crackers over that ordeal.you see we are just a game to them.a pawn in a little thing called world.they watch us eat, and breathe with a fascination that borders on the heinous.i'm not saying

Is it worth going to an anonymous state?
Why do people keep thinking they will hide behind a trust or LLC? Have they been watching too many television shows? Neither option was created for secrecy, nor do they allow secrecy. The IRS has thousands of lines of code making sure you don't use it to hide behind. The officers of both are required to be publically listed. They are for protection, not for gains. Even off-shore trusts have limitations, especially if you intend to live in America.

Record Jackpot Claimed, question!
Lottery Pools are an accepted way of gambling; otherwise they would not be popular. How long do you think it would take for a denial of a Lottery Pool to make the papers and television? Ever heard of a denial? N-O-P-E ! Lottery Pools are like a blood tranfusion to the lottery. There is no laws against pre-planning, only on post-planning. If there is a standing agreement, that can be sworn to, or documented some way (emails are good), you will have little or no trouble. There are several cases

Why so much greed?
Nothing wrong with greed. Keeps the stock market functioning. Keeps movies being made. Keeps television series running. Keeps amusement parks open. Keeps cruise ships in operation. Keeps people running for re-election. The key players involved in those areas are already rich, some beyond imagination. Unless, of course, you believe they put all that effort into it, because it is fun. As long as it doesn't harm you, personally, what is the problem? Too much pressure, on you, seeing people want mor

next mm hit
I don't see that California made any major impact in getting to $200M (annuity), and I don't think it going to make a major impact until, maybe a week from Friday. The first time through, those in California thought, because of the hype, they were going to be the winner. They soon found out that spending more monet doesn't mean a thing.I figure it will be at the $300M+ for a week from Firday. Katrina will be history (bush will screw something else up, so the press will have a new folly), and peo

computerized powerball
I believe that much of the excitement of the multi-state lotteries is the atmosphere of the drawing. When I think of Powerball, I visualize the two drawing machines on television ready and waiting, the simultaneous ball drops as the machines are loaded, the mixing followed by the rising drawn white ball and the ultimate roll down the chute to the camera. I strain to see the number before it is announced on the set. Who can't admit that as they watch the draw they aren't excited, as the red Powe

The poor $10 million lottery winners...
What a sigh of relief: the poor $10 million lottery winners will always be among us! Fret not, post readers, the lottery officials do not want our pictures (of course, there are some state exceptions). Ideally, newspaper editorials, television broadcasters, and the gossiping neighbors next door are only interested in the larger jackpot winners -- sensationalism. Why? We are considered the lottery poor and that's fine by me.Now, when we win, we can come out of our holes and breathe a little ea

And lo, she came forth!
Yes, the Mega Million jackpot winner did a new conference. Well, I be hanged...why? Even though her complimentary check was awarded, there's no way that I would get on national television and advertise my name -- who I am. Gee, I hope she has armed body guards outside the studio.Perhaps, I shouldn't be too hard on her: lottery officials probably advised her to waive her rights: the public has a right to know, and we must make the public aware that the money is actually being awarded to a real
