Powerball now at $550 Million!!
Black Friday, Cyber Monday and Powerball, I would give an award to any one who still had two pennies to rub together. And if you do, there's still time to get some last minute tickets.

I think I lost a friend of 15 years.
I want to thank everyone for their replies. I have to award RJOh for the best reply ever, which is what I quoted above... RJOh: I hope Karma treats you well and I hope you win the jackpot and meet nice friends who don't care about your money.

Should illegal immigrants be able to claim lottery prizes?
I wrote before, most will be smart enough NOTto cash it in because they know they can't get away with it, so they'll pay someone legal to cash it in for them. I have a friend who does this at the dog track. He'll give 10 percent to a guy who cashes his tickets, not because my friend is illegal, but is eluding taxes. If they were dumb enough to try to cash it illegally, then they simply deserve the Darwin award, and have no place in this thread...lol

Whats up with store clerks today?
good for you... Lot's of others would think they owed her nothing and kept all the money. Although you really didn't owe her anything , you were thoughtful enough to award her for the valuable tip she gave you.

Random Numbers Predictable?
Judging from the number of responses in such a short period of time this thread certainly did get a lot of interest. I agree. I think grumble may deserve some kind of award for the best troll I can remember ever seeing here.

What does it feel like to be rich?
Yes, Thoth. So true. So after you've got everything you need (or want) then make sure you give back...maybe buy some land and build your own animal rescue, adopt a few older children who can't find homes, start a food bank. Last night I was watching the NAACP Image Awards and Bono was given a special award for his work in Africa to stop AIDS and wipe out poverty. I doubt if he's dedicated all that time and work for the glory. But what a wonderful feeling it must be to achieve so much and le

6 Disturbing Lottery "Trends"
By the way, Greg, this was an excellent post, you get my 5 stars for it. I agree with each of your points! I think a lot of attention should be paid to the raffle games, because they are obviously going to become more and more popular, as lotteries seek to expand their revenues. Thus, we should all jump all over the lotteries that don't do them right, and this is a great start. I would also add the following regarding raffles: All raffles should offer many small prizes ($100, $5

If you hit a jackpot.........
I read a similar story, but it was about a woman in an office lottery pool in California that won a lottery jackpot. She kept her share of the winnings a secret and started divorce proceedings from her unemployed husband and he found out about it after the divorce was finalized. He went back to court and sued for his share of their winnings and as punishment the judge award him all of their winnings. I never did hear whether she went back to court to get alimony, something she wasn't seeki
