Should State Lotteries be privatized ?
The problem with privatization is that the companies that run the lotteries will have to pay state and federal taxes. Those taxes and the profits will come from the revenues they collect from players. As it is, the lotteries do not pay taxes. I'm right, no?

The good thing about California is you don't pay state taxes. Only federal taxes. This could change of course but at the present time, you don't pay state taxes for the lottery.

That is normally 25% for federal for Americans, but since he is a foreigner it's 35% automatically held from the prize.
