A discussion of the math, probability and theories of the the Lottery
The average probability is that you lose money. The bank has the advantage. If you win, you pay taxes or not on the payout, depending of where you live. Consider that your money is taxed money and when you play it is taxed again, finally your eventual wins are also taxed. When you buy something with the net wins, the price again contains taxes. Lotto Winner Promises
Sharing wealth with others is not always a good idea. When Jack Whittaker, the PB winner from W.Va bought a house for his favorite waitress, she complained he didn't include money to pay the higher real estate taxes she didn't have to pay when she lived in a trailer. When Oprah gave all the folks in her audience a new car, some complained they had to go into debt to pay the taxes on them. Sharing wealth with some people just make them poorer which isn't doing them a favor.

Playing digits works for me and just because you don't have any success using them means nothing. I play QuickPicks. --------------------Referring to the quoted post above------------------- Finally, RL-RANDOMLOGIC has given us some numbers we can work with. He said, For the record, I win between $500.00 to $1000.00 per yea

In California there is no state tax, but the IRS still wants their money! If you play on-line like it is totally tax free because they do not report any winnings to any government. When is there a positive expectation for playing Mega Millions?
Most players don't realize the bulk of the expected value is only made up of the jackpot, so when they see a high jackpot or even positive expectation game they get very excited for no logical reason. The variance for the jackpot makes it too difficult to earn that expected value without millions of identical trials. Anyway, the true breakeven jackpot for pari-mutuel games depends on sales, because you have to adjust the jackpot for more than 1 winner (of course multiple winners does not affe
