Imposing lotto religion...
Rip Snorter Within the US most 'legal' casinos outside Nevada and New Jersey are on lands held 'in trust' by the US Bureau of Indian Affairs for various tribes of Native Americans. Reservations. I think you forgot a whole bunch of riverboats and places like Tunica, Mississippi. As a rule, individual tribal members don't see any particular benefits from these establishments (I speak only for the ones in my area). I worked on a boat with people who had worked in Minnesota and Wiscons

thoughts on lottery syndicates
I think you are getting a little mixed up. The 36 second prize winners each got 1M because each bought their own ticket. So there were 36 tickets that had the same numbers. In a lottery pool of say 10 people. You won't buy 10 duplicate tickets for each member. So if in your collection of tickets one wins the second prize. They won't ask you how many you are so that each gets their own 1M. I hope that makes sense. The pick 3, 4, and 5 games unfortunately are not in all states is n

Anonymous / Non anonymous states
mikeintexas, Not just Nevada but that was one example. Definitely not better since the mob was ousted. The pit bosses knew the players. Typical: Shift boss to pit boss: You comped this guy and a party of four to our best restaurant? Pit boss: Yes I did. Every time he shows up he drops 30-40 thousand. Fast forward to now, after Atlantic City destroyed the business; The pit boos is somewhere in an office, everything is computerized and they might not even know a player asking for

Any Lottery attorney's?
he was basically a runner. I've got to assume that anyone who took issue with what he was doing thought he was more than the errand boy performing a task for, or on behalf of, other people who needed lottery tickets from, and perhaps there's a valid reason that they were right. It's perfectly legal to buy tickets at the behest of other people, and it may well be perfectly legal to charge them for your time. If not, then every person who organizes a pool and goes out to buy tickets for th

Do you believe every combination has the same probability?
With enough diligence, dedication, and proper understanding of how probability actually works, a player can become a threat to any casino. According to your NY Times article it's not done by using devices. If you use a device to get information that other people do not have access to, it s cheating in the state of Nevada and most other states as well. That is usually illegal, the sort of thing that can result in jail time. Card Counting been around even before Edward O. Thorp wrote

Is this legal?
Well Stack I see you still get you jollies by trying to vivisect other people's posts. Must be awful to be that insecure. I did read the article (duh, I posted it, nicht var?). Most of the people I've seen trying to sell squares in pools are looking for think-they-know-it all chumps (gee that has a familiar ring to it) and are trying to get them to buy the worse squares. And for your information, where sports betting is legal 13 run baseball pools are far more popular.

"Beating the House!"
I forget that you work at Area 51 nights and cant play the lottery. But you could play through on online butler if you had a decent system. Cost more, but cost is eventually negligible when you win. To paraphrase a line from the movie JAWS . It does not make much sense for a man who is afraid of the water to live on an island.' Nevada is a very interesting state nonetheless. It has the best prostitution and the worst lotto. P.S. I have to agree with you on one point though
