Companies battle for Pa. lottery contract
For one firm, it will be something like winning the Powerball: A state government contract worth more than $800 milion that comes along just once a decade in Pennsylvania. The current contract to provide the gaming system and instant ticket game services that power the Pennsylvania Lottery expires in June 2019. Illinois Lottery to add Powerball online ticket sales
The measure also calls for a study on how online lottery sales impact convenience stores and other retailers that sell lottery tickets. About 55% of the Illinois ticket sales are scratch-offs that would have zero effect by online sales so the minimal impact would be on the other games. They can only loosely estimate how many players will play their daily Pick-3, Pick-4, and Little Lotto online. Internet lottery game not popular with Kansas players
Despite a redesign and humorous new commercials, the Kansas eScratch lottery game is still underwhelming players. The lack of success by the Kansas eScratch lottery game illustrates that lottery players do not want a game to be played on the Internet just for the sake of being an online game.Since May, when the game was relaunched and promoted heavily, sales have been 89 percent higher than last year. But the games have still generated only $260,000 in the last month and a half, a mere drop compa

Lotteries may gamble on Internet
Quote: Originally posted by whodeani on April 22, 2005 I don' see why a state would limit internet ticket sales to state residents. If the idea is to bring more revenue to the state, then why not include everybody? States don't exclude non-residents from attending a state university the only difference is tuition is more for a non-resident. I say have the internet sales open to everyone. If lotteries want to exlcude non-residents from playing the lottery, well then maybe there should be a photo

Michigan man wins $5.42M lottery jackpot with online purchase
I would think the same thing. We don't have online sales in my state and I have wondered how that works. If someone buys a ticket online, do they get a copy of the actual numbers that were on the ticket? If so, they can be checked. I've gotten the emails and phone calls about the lottery jackpot I've supposedly won and need to pay taxes and fees to receive it. They get hung up on or deleted.

$36 million Mega Millions ticket sold in Florida goes unclaimed
