Missouri Lottery changing games Monday
Missouri Lottery players will get a new numbers game Monday, but also lose one. Show Me Cash, a daily on-line drawing, is set to begin Monday when the twice-daily and struggling Show Me 5 Paydown game goes out of business. Lottery spokesman Gary Gonder said the new Pick 5-style game would offer players bigger jackpots and better odds of winning. The top prize in every Paydown drawing was a tax-free, lump sum $50,000. But if no player won that prize, cash trickled down to increase the a

Mega Millions multi-state lottery to get harder to win in Oct.
Idiots, MM was IMO the better game over the last several years and I mocked PB for all the stupidity they've gone through with fiddle with their odds which utter failed to where they had to bring them back down, now they're doing the same. Guess in a couple more years they'll be changing MM to a $2 game too.

N.M. Lottery's Roadrunner Cash game changing this weekend
The New Mexico Lottery is changing the in-state Roadrunner Cash game to create a larger starting prize and jackpots that grow larger, faster. The game will feature a starting jackpot of $25,000, up from $20,000, and a new $1 prize for matching two of five numbers. Texas Pick 3 is state's top moneymaker
I think Texas' next new game (after changing Lotto Texas) will be a pick-4. I don't think Texas would try a Lose for Life-type game.

Powerball lottery to implement changes
They're only changing the game because so many tickets were hitting early in the year. From January through February, they had four winners, averaging ~$19.2 million. Since March, the same number of tickets won, but averaging ~$66 million. If PB would have just waited, they wouldn't have to have changed the odds on the game. But I do like the increases in payouts.

Too many players winning Powerball, lottery says
Well changing hot lotto to a 6/49 format would fix that.Powerball has been adding states but doing nothing to address that. They also need to change the current lame rules regarding record jackpots. If they want to keep their current game it would only tick off the current member states as they look at the falling sales. I just wonder if they have had any meetings with the current states about the status of the game and any possible changes.

Powerball changing in October to generate bigger jackpots
By Todd Northrop The multi-state Powerball game will be changing in October, making it harder to win the jackpot, while at the same time making it easier to win a smaller prize. With the state lotteries becoming reliant upon big multi-state jackpot games driving ticket sales, the long streak of Powerball jackpots being won before reaching historic levels has crimped state budgets. The October changes are designed to fix that problem by forcing the jackpot to be won less often. After the

Lottery buffs fear impact on Lotto Texas
There's a new buzzword these days at the Texas Lottery Commission: cannibalization. It's being used to describe how much the new Mega Millions multi-state lottery will eat away at the sales of the 11-year-old favorite, Lotto Texas. For the first time Wednesday, people will be able to buy a chance at the Mega Millions jackpot in Texas. There are people out there ready to step up first thing in the morning, people that are motivated by high jackpots, said Reagan Greer, executive director of the com

Hot Lotto multi-state lottery game to end in October
Really a shame that they took a good game and ruined it by changing the odds to make it harder AND making it a RNG to boot. A lesson in how NOT to run a lottery game.
