I am in Illinois. Our political leaders have thought of every possibility when it comes to taxing. If you earn money working in Mo., you have to pay Illinois tax on that money so I feel sure if you win money out of state you still have to pay Illinois tax on it.

The Illinois Lotto 6/52 ( http://www.illinoislottery.com/numbers.htm ) is on a long run again! Earlier this year, it rolled for longer than five months and made it to $37.5 million before it was finally hit. Yes, I am playing the Illinois Lotto until someone (hopefully me) wins the jackpot. The game is also a bargain: 2 plays for $1. That must have been the ticket sold in Kenosha. According to the tax foundation (2016), Illinois tax on lottery winnings is 3.75%, Wisconsin is 7.75%. It's my guess he pays Illinois tax on that. Wisconsin lottery not only screws us on pre-draws but on taxes too.
