Powerball and MegaMillions Were Both Won
$300 millions jackpots were never very common, besides what's wrong with $100-$200 millions jackpots?

Someone hit mega - needs a fix
How can people who want jackpots in the $300 million range complain about small jackpots when they themselves play for the smaller jackpots? They're contributing to the very problem that they're complaining about. Maybe they should wait until the jackpots get big enough for them before they start contributing to the likelihood of the jackpots being hit.Of course, they should also realize that there will only be a handfull of jackpot winners each year if they regularly grow to that super size. Jackpots 15 and 20 millions in Mega Millions mostly roll
Unless I've over looked something, I noticed that jackpots at 15 or 20 million in Mega Million seldom win. It mostly hits when jackpots are huge. I play at all ranges. Does most people play only when jackpots are big?

Powerball reaching record jackpots due to the odds just got harder?
I'm fairly certain we will see $1B jackpots more often now that the odds are 1 in 292 million and the price being $2. Basically the $500-600M jackpots are the new $200-300M jackpots and the $1B+ jackpots are the new $300-400M jackpots. lol

$300,000,000 Jackpots
I cant speak for many, but although Im happy for the family that recently won the $212,000,000 in NJ, I go through a cold turkey withdrawal after the jackpots are hit. Im afraid with more states able to carry both jackpot games, we will see less and less of the $300,000,000 jackpots. Trust me, Im glad to participate in marylad in both, and not have to drive into d.c. for the Powerball, but I think the inclusionness of the states for both will water down the jackpots ulimately.

Powerball/Mega Milions Jackpots
$10 million may be a lot, but for the odds, as well as the fact that the number of states joining those games is resultin in jackpots getting hit more often, which leads to low jackpots compared to a few years ago. Should Powerball and/or Mega Millions raise their starting jackpots to $20 million?

Both PB & MM are at minimum jackpots
No, it isnt. I use to look at LP's handy dandy jackpot history graphs a couple of years ago and the average # of jackpots were around 12 in a year. So far, in the past 365 days, we've had only 8 PB jackpots and 7 MM jackpots. Worse, my state lotto has only had 3 jackpots in that time period. It also use to have 10-12 jackpots a year. So, you got your wish: It appears it is much harder to win and the jackpots are larger.

PB lower odds = greater payout than MM??
While Powerball's annuity jackpots start at $15 million and Mega Millions' annuity jackpots start at $12 million, their cash jackpots start at approximately the same value ($7 million average).

Probability of a Rollover in Powerball.
It would certainly seem so.The predicted jackpots seem not to be tracking sales very well. The cash jackpots are now normally higher than promised. An estimate based on the predicted jackpots now advertised would seem to suggest that the lottery only expects 10 million in sales. This is obviously ridiculous.Another explanation would be that there has been a decision to under promise on early jackpots in hopes of raising the probabilities of large jackpots. The sales for the single drawing of
