CA Lottery - California Love - CA Lottery Scratchers
I have been playing bitcoin dice online lately instead of scratchers. The house edge is only .75% where I play. Much better than scratchers! Also the payouts are instant and taxes are not withheld. I play for a top prize of $6000. If you are technically inclined you might give it a try.

My understanding is that Federal taxes are deducted before you get your prize. You would just get a check for $6500 not the $10,000.

Re: taxes, I would imagine whatever the California income tax rate/bracket is for $260,000, were you to take the annual installments. Somewhere around 35%, maybe? Combine that with any additional income you earn throughout the year. But I'm not sure if California considers lottery prizes as income; I've never won a prize over $599 to have to put on a freaking tax return. I do know that in Australia, winnings of any amount are tax free and is not considered income. Canada, too.

He must not be too bright. When I had my $1,000 winner I looked into EVERY possibility of it being taken (I just hadn't filed federal taxes at the time yet, but it is a state agency and only collects against state owed debt) and it says right on the claim form which debts they check in the system. Oh well, at least he's a grand less in debt. And still as dumb.

It's going to be spent wisely for school. :) I don't think they take anything out over $5000. Last time I won $1000 a few years ago when I did my taxes I didn't owe anything since I was a full time student. I'm pretty sure I won't owe next sinceI'll be just a full-time student all this year and my income is virtually nothing.

Nope, and neither has anyone else from what I've seen and heard . A couple of 100s a few 150s and one 500. But those are just from the stores I go to. Thought about buying a book of them after I get my taxes but I'm thinking more than once about it now, my luck id go 120/300. Ew..

does anyone know about cashing $1000 tickets at the district office in tampa as far as taxes go? can i start saving $1000 of losing tickets or is that a waste of time because i was not planning on itemizing my tax deduction this year? I also have $4000 in winning tickets that i have not cashed. better to cash these at publix or could i get cash if i take them to the district office, or will they try to tax me for this also even though they are all $500 winners and below?

Lucki, I played like biff since October of 11, had to claim 20K winnings on taxes and still lost my rear end 2012, 2013 still played like an idiot, except I only made 1 trip to the lottery office to claim a 1k ticket, won only a hand full of $500 tickets. You simply cant buy them if they arent there, its very frustrating that they dont post where the middle and upper tier tickets are being sold. Im trying to get off of them, and change my thought process, its hard to let them go, but I know its
