looking for advice on this ticket and its odds- strategy??
Good odds for $20K but thats not exactly life changing esp. after taxes. I tried those tickets thinking boy it must be easy to get $20K because thats the top prize. but the overall odds on the ticket are terrible 1 in 4. the other $20 ticket is good odds but only $20 or $40 wins. good luck i hope you get the $20K

has anyone won $1000 on a $10 scratch ticket in nh?
What can i expect to pay for taxes at tax time. Is it really 28%? New hampshire doesnt take out any tax from the $1000 but they send the irs a w2g form. Thank you for your help :)

Congrats to your cousin. I am always happy to hear the big spenders win the decent prizes. $10K after taxes is decent money, however when you spend like some of us, it really only gets you to even or slightly ahead(momentarily).lol

Well my housing gets paid for by my company so instead of paying $1-2K mortage or rent each month I can chose to spend that how i want. Im still able to max out my retirement accounts so its not like im blowing away everything, even though it may seem like it. I tried stocks before but lost heavy so i vowed to stay away from that. A quick mil ($500k after taxes) is what im looking for. If i get it or even $50k or something im DONE !!!

Thanx Mr Sinful and James. Here in Taxachusetts they will take the 5% state tax off the top so I will get a check for $950. My biggest winner was $5000 and I got a check for $4750. If it had been $5001 they would have taken state and federal taxes right away.

The ticket is real the person has no reason to lie. The Florida lottery has already validated the ticket and withheld around $63k in taxes. And the funds will be ready in 60 days he said.

Missouri - $3,000,000 TAXES PAID - GM #842
Typically, withholding in Missouri is 29 percent for state and federal taxes. The prize is actually about $3.9 million so that the winner ends up with $3 million after withholding.

Any GA players?
I am in ga and love maximum green. I won 1 of the 2nd chance 10 grand prizes last year.
Several people have won twice. and One lady won max green 2nd chance then the next month won the 3000000 taxes paid drawing of 20,0000.
I would also like to add the month I won, I had logged in 4 losing tickets that month. So it didnt take a ton of cards for me to win.
My largest scratch off prize for max green was 250 when i got the max symbol and 100's lots of time. I won 300 on

Georgia or NC Scratch off Recommendations
I play in GA, and I would say play the $2 Celebrate ticket which has lots of $100 dollar prizes, or the $2 $25,000 Cash Deposit where the taxes are already paid. For other tickets play anything that says Jumbo on it because they have the best pay out for each price range. Hope you win something!!
