Odds are still low, honestly even pulling a $500 winner is a stretch with the overall odds being something like 1 in 1,000 during the final drawing. Significantly better than something like the Powerball, or even the regular chances of hitting $1M on a scratchoff of course. 2,500/570,000 = 0.0043% chance when you crunch the numbers, it makes sense as to why very few of us even hit something. I think one person posted saying he won $500 during one of the weekly drawings. With that being said

It is pricey for a ticket ,but the odds are really good, it was 1 in 7500 odds when i won the 10k, thats really great ,you dont see that now, but i did win a grand dec 7th on the mass cash which i play the same number every nite and those odds are 1 in 324k to win a 100k, i had 4 tickets and got 250. each ticket thats what you get on 4 of the 5 numbers. Your odds depend on the tickets that are in stores and can actually be bought, not whether or not anybody buys a ticket with a particular prize. If it's no different than your odds if you bought a ticket for last Saturday's PB. Just because nobody won the jackpot doesn't mean your ticket didn't have the usual odds of winning. Pick 3 has been easier (and more profitable) for me. 1/1000 odds, compared to the 1/10,000 odds for pick 4.

I found some info on The PA Lottery's website with regard to the number of tickets sold for the first and second Early Bird drawings. For the first drawing they sold 42,322 tickets which made the odds of winning $50,000 42,322 to 1. For the second Early Bird drawing they sold 39,513 tickets which made the odds 39,513 to1. Not too bad odds to win 50 grand. G5
