Winner of $95 million Lotto Texas lottery jackpot gamed the odds to win
New Jersey based group turned the odds to win in their favor By Kate Northrop Around this time one year ago, the Texas Lottery's Lotto Texas jackpot was bursting at the seams, boasting the game's third-largest prize ever at a mouthwatering $95 million. One New Jersey-based group gamed the odds to win the jackpot. Following a seven-month period without a winner, the Lotto Texas jackpot had ballooned to $95 million for the drawing on April 22, 2023, the game's largest in over 12 years.

Look-alike actor from movie inspires Michigan man to buy lottery ticket, wins $500,000
I definitely believe in lucky hunches, I won two pick 3s today due to hunches not workouts. Congrats to him! I wish scratchers would post overall odds for the JACKPOT instead of all the prizes. Example: The overall odds of winning any prize in the game are 1 in 4.02.

Florida Fantasy-5 Players
With the addition of the midday drawing in March of last year (and I still say that was a whopper of a mistake on the part of The Florida Lottery. They certainly did NOT do players any favors) there are now 60 to 62 drawings per month. (As opposed to 30 to 31 in the good old days.) That's why all 36 FF5 numbers are usually drawn every month. It's next to impossible for any given number in a set of 36 numbers not to be drawn in 60, 61 or 62 drawings. In the good old days it occasionally happ

Thanks Sully and Dee but I really haven't been playing all month just a few dollars here and there no study and no nothing but that nine some hadn't shown up all month and like I said an earlier post it didn't fail to show up in the last 10 years so why would this year be any different just put the odds on my side. Got the 290 for a super ticket spent about $40 maybe $50 to to win it. Thought for sure it was going to come in Sunday when I didn't play LOL

Hmm, that is a little peculiar. I must have made an error in my back-of-the-napkin stats workup, because I have an even-odds expectation of 11 days which is much shorter than your 15 days. Reality doesn't lie, I must have made (another) bonehead math error somewhere. I have to go, but I'll try to remember to take another look at this when I get home, because my calculated expectation is off by too much. Meanwhile, here's my $500 question. Do series numbers cluster?

Oregon woman who doesn't check lottery tickets wins $1 million in raffle
Not BS. People who do not play regularly, seem to do this more often than not. I have had well educated coworkers tell me they did not check their tickets when they heard it was won someplace else. I did explain the other prizes. And let's be honest, the odds are against winning. If they are investing in their 401ks and taking care of their family, that is #1.

Virginia woman wins $50,000 Pick 5 prize on first-ever lottery ticket
Running an errand for another lottery player convinced her to play By Kate Northrop A Virginia woman won $50,000 playing Pick 5, and it was her first lottery ticket purchase ever. A Virginia woman had some incredible beginner's luck when she decided to play the lottery for the first time and won a $50,000 Pick 5 top prize. Katelynne Berland of Yorktown was out running errands for her mother, which included getting some lottery tickets on her behalf. Then she thought, why not try

Series definitely do at times cluster. Give me a little more insight on the error in your stats workup and I will double check my stuff as well. Edit for clarification: I have an even-odds expectation of 11 days which is much shorter than your 15 days. I don't see 15 days anywhere, there is 16 days, for the series average draws between each draw, is that what you meant?

Illinois woman wins $1 million on lottery ticket given to her by another gas station customer
One player's trash is another's treasure By Kate Northrop An Illinois woman won $1 million on a Lucky Day Lotto ticket after another gas station customer decided they didn't want it and gave it to her. An anonymous Illinois woman was not expecting a million dollars to quite literally be handed to her last week, and its thanks to a kind gesture from another nameless gas station customer. She is shocked that, despite not even having bought a lottery ticket, she is the recipient of
