To do that I'd have needed taxable income of more than $215,400, which is equivalent to about 844k today. Also because I'm not a moron I know that I'd only have paid 70% on the taxable income in excess of that 844k (in today's dollars). If that or any gift revealing who you are isn't a problem you can just mail modest amounts in the form of a postal money order (in that US, at least; I don't know about other countries' options).
