Texas Lottery will guarantee advertised jackpots
I think Todd's plan works best. What would you rather have, a sure $1, or a longshot chance at $5? How about this plan for the 6/54 game. Avg. Prize Prize Pool % Match 6 JACKPOT 75% of remaining pool Match 5 $3,000 10% of remaining pool Match 4 $80 15% of remaining pool Match 3 $5 Fixed Taken out first Match 2 $1 FixedTaken out first52.5% of sales go to prizes. The prize pool is divided between the Match 6, 5, and 4 categories after the fixed Match 3, and 2 categories are paid.

MegaMillions pool strategies.
Now that the MegaMillions jackpot is $145M, lottery pools are being started. Most pool just have an agreement to collect some money and buy a bunch of QPs and share the winnings, but having enough money to buy extra tickets should give some players a chance to try some different strategies to guarantee at least a small win. For example a pool of $50 could include the most popular or all of the megaballs to guarantee a win of $2. Knowing that half of the winning numbers have 3 numbers from the

Are lottery pools legal in Michigan?
I would like to clarify my earlier post where I stated lottery pools are legal in the US. I am using the simple definition of a lottery pool as mentioned by BobP in the previous post. A lottery pool simply being a group of people pooling their money to buy more tickets and thereby inceasing their chances of winning.I would strongly recommend staying away from any group where the organizer is trying to make money from the pool participants. A substantial part of every ticket purchase is already g

Don't let your lottery pools end up like the one in NJ.
It appears that the group claiming they had won, had no idea of which numbers were played for their pool. Had they had a photo copy or scanned copy of their tickets, they would have been able to check their numbers and have proof of the tickets purchased for them. They just didn't beleive their fellow pool member when he told them, they didn't win anything for their $100 investment. That should be lesson for all pool players, get a copy of the numbers that are played for your pool before the dra

Is this legal?
From madduxsports.com: The most common football pool is the standard 100 square football pool. At almost every Super Bowl party you have ever been to you might have seen this 10 x 10 betting sheet and wondered what it is. There's nothing like a friendly little game to liven up the party during the Super Bowl. This pool is built around a simple chart calls for no skill or previous knowledge of how to bet the spread or of the game of football in general. In this article I will explain how ea

Lottery syndicate
here we go ! excellent idea, solving bank account issues. start looking more like mining bitcoin in pool ;) now, as i understand for example OLG.ca (Ontario, Canada) recommends to captain of pool sign each ticket with name and add IN TRUST . so if each member of pool will sign same way and upload tickets to pool would it make proof enough to everybody not to be scammed if someone win big one and will try to hide it? would be good idea to consult with lawyer on agreement to ensure this? also, let

excel lottery pool manager
Years ago, I ran a lottery pool for work on an excel spreadsheet as I was an aerospace bean counter. Now I'm retired and refined the spreadsheet to manage pb and mm for ten tickets for the next five draws, and calculate the winnings. My last tweak allows each spreadsheet user to refresh the pb mm results via a one click refresh of an external query. I'm out of the pool manager business, just curious if anyone has an interest in managing the pool by filling out the spreadsheet emailing it t

Lotto Pools - Best Tips?
Make copies of the tickets included in the pool and have them sign the copied pages. I also make up a contract and have each one sign stating that winnings will be divided equally amongst those who are in the pool and I have their names on the contract and have them sign that as well. I don't know if you (or anyone else in the pool) purchases any individual tickets outside the pool, but if so, it's a good idea to state that in the contract any tickets bought outside the pool belong to those i
