Does anyone tip?
If the clerk gives me a hot tip on a number and it hits, then yes.
I look at it this way. They don't contribute to the cost, so why do they deserve money? The clerks don't give me a portion of the money back from the cost when I lose.

Tipping
what is the most or no tip given to clerk because they punched in your numbers or good karma, gave a winning QP, etc...
most I gave was $40 on a Pick4 number I hit for $5400. not even 1% but $40 for punching my numbers = good dinner.

S.C. man almost threw away winning lottery ticket
Congrats to him.
I never undertstand why big winners go back to the store to show the clerk. There are always those clerks who will wait for some kind of tip for selling the winner. I always prefer to stay out of the spotlight. This guy will now be known around town for being the lottery winner since he is quik to show his face. At least he withheld his name from the press release.

Judgmental Store Clerks >:(
Judgemental clerks dont bother me,its the ones who ask what your number is 5or6times,or say the machines down cause they dont know how to run it,or the ones that think they know, but give you the wrong #s or the wrong type bet.Have run into honest clerks who send you to another register with a clerk who does,or one who make an attempt to learn,as it is part of thier job, usualy you get to know your locale clerks that are good and it also helps if you tip them if you hit, this keeps you in good with

Post Your Winning Tickets Here
Yep. If only I had such a clear strategy from the start, then all would be well. Once I got that monkey off my back with that $4K win I have been relaxed and the wins come to me, instead of me chasing them lol. The last 3 weeks have been amazing !!
And yes, If the clerk is helpful I do usually tip $5 - $20

Post your scratch ticket results
Put in $40, won $30 back today. Most notable is the clerk asked for a tip on $25 winnings! I've never had someone at Giant ask for a tip before. I didn't give it. What is standard lottery etiquette here?
Someone supposedly won $1,000 from that Giant store today. Again, why couldn't it be me?

Have you or anyone you known tipped clerks that have helped you select a winning instant ticket?
I used to tip this one clerk until I found out he was playing my numbers, he had the audacity to get mad at me when I went on a losing streak....
The same thing has happened to LP members who post combinations on the prediction board. They not only get complaints from people losing money but from those who claim the number of combinations posted exceed their budget.

Store payout when a winning ticket is sold (in Tennessee)
Did I miss something? When did this change?
If you won a prize and collected your winnings at the store then you might have missed a hint that the clerk was expecting a tip.

Scratch Off Strategy
Great tip, thanks! I'm gonna look into those patterns here in the FLA.
I don't know what it's like in PA, but here you don't get to look over a ticket before you buy it. You can either get them from a vending machine that spits 'em out or an annoyed clerk who's usually in a rush. You don't really get a chance to ask for the last one on the roll or the one with the special marks on the bottom.

Mistake on lottery ticket would have won $30M jackpot
You have a very good point Rjoh, My decision is every time I would accept a 10 and 20% mistake like a tip (depending on the experience) not 100% so I would told the clerk just give some of those not all, not because of the money been short but because I m not really fan of people telling me what to do with my money, I know I should be used to by now right(US Gov) hey maybe store is doing this as a side business who knows.
If I missed the pot, that s because it didn t belong to me in the first
