If All 80,000 Members of LP Dedicated to Systems for PB and Pick6 We will Win it Everyday
Coin Toss I agree there are potential problems with folks making various claims. However, except for the initial request for participants, which would have to be posted in a public venue, the program would be confidential. There would be a cutoff date on which the program would advance, or die for lack of interest. A public notice would have to be made informing interested parties that the opportunity has closed. No one would know who the participants are, except the participants,

Please Write To Your Governor
I got the following response: Your recent email to Governor Charlie Crist has been forwarded to us for reply. On behalf of the Governor and the Florida Lottery, thank you for your correspondence. We at the Lottery regret very much the situation involving Abraham Shakespeare and appreciate your views regarding personal privacy and Lottery prizes. Tenn. lottery scholarships outstrip revenue; day of reckoning looms
A day of reckoning is coming for students and parents over Tennessee's lottery scholarships that could result in tightened eligibility, reduced scholarship awards or both. After more than five years of steadily expanded eligibility and grant amounts, the annual cost of the program is outstripping the net revenue produced by the lottery. If no action is taken, that funding gap is now expected to overtake the lottery reserves some $385 million built up in the lottery's booming early years an

For the Millionth Time...
What sticks out to me is the, the risk of loss rests with the prize winner. That part refers to the cash, not the annuity, and is connected to the part that says The gross cash option will represent the sum of the first annuityinstallment plus the net proceeds from the sale of the governmentsecurities originally purchased to fund the annuity prize. The risk they're talking about is that the value of the of the securities on the day of sale may be different than the original cost. That v

Win the jackpot...now what?
Simply for FYI purposes. Let's say you win the jackpot. What would be your immediate, short-term, and long-term activity Obviously hiring professionals is likely a good idea to guide a novice. My question is who should a jackpot winner hire. A tax lawyer, a financial advisor, an accountant, some hybrid of the above, or none at all. When it comes to money.....in order to avoid getting ripped off......what should be the going rate/retainer to pay these professionals. A one time flat fee, a comm

Voters overwhelmingly approve Arkansas state lottery
Voters have approved a measure creating a statewide lottery for Arkansas, overturning a ban set in the state's constitution since 1874. About two-thirds of voters supported the lottery measure championed by Lt. Gov. Bill Halter, which will fund college scholarships through ticket sales. About 36 percent cast votes against the measure. Halter has said a lottery would raise $100 million annually and likely would have scratch-off games and lottery drawings like other states. The Legislature w

Wheel Generator 1.5
Dear wheelers, First I want to greet everyone here. Those who remember me and wonder what happened and the reason of my absence from the lottery scene... well I had the obligation of army service. Hopefully this will be over soon, in a couple of months, and I'll be back in action. I have been thinking lately to bring into market my Wheel Generator program for the fans of wheeling, as a stand-alone utility. My will to release this magnificent program depends on the desire of those interest

The 120-day Rule of Luck
I've mentioned the 120-day rule as a personal favorite. I cannot take credit for authorship and cannot give credit where it's due except to say I believe this originated in India. So the rule says that you will have an opportunity for increased periods of luck 120 days before or 120 days after your birthday. I would add that for me personally, this is ballpark of 2-5 days, not just the exact 120th day. Some years, but not every year, the week or day of your birthday will also

Massachusetts $20 scratcher.
MA has the best lottery in the country from what I read (as far as revs are concerned). They did lower the prize money % when the Republicans took over the lottery. However, MA taxes haven't been super high in years. Compare: CA - 9.3% on taxable income of $43,468 and above. California's minimum combined state, county and local sales and use tax increased to 7.25 percent (6.25 state-only portion) MA - A 5.3% rate that applies to wages, interest and dividends and long-term capital ga

Texas Lottery may consider offering raffle
The chairman of the Texas Lottery Commission has asked the state attorney general to study whether it would be legal to add a raffle to its array of games. Raffles offer better odds of winning than other kinds of games because a limited number of tickets are sold and there can be no duplicate winners. Twenty-seven states already offer raffles with mixed success. Lottery spokesman Bobby Heith said the commission would still have to research the idea before starting a raffle game. But offici
