Like they say, you have to be in it to win it On that note, I got my one PB with PP and my one MM with the multiplier. Who said that 36M is not a significant amount. The around 10M after taxes is a lot of money - let's not pretend that our lives can only be changed by 100M I would still buy a ticket if the jackpots reset at 10M. Good luck to all.

I'd think that not playing PB when the MM jackpot is $100 or $200 million higher would be the obvious strategy considering that the cost is the same and the odds are very close to being the same, but I've never noticed an obvious effect of one game on the other. Maybe when they're both really big and one gets hit a few people figure they should try their luck on the remaining one before it gets hit, too. would yo

Point taken. IF the majority of tickets sold were self picks, then yes, the majority of jackpots won would likely be from self picks. Hahaha, I totally love your perspective, especially the part on sharing it would be taking money out of their pocket. The idea that if another person wins on pick 3, it does not impact the amount you would win since it doesn't get split is a very solid point. I can therefore conclude that we could have folks who have systems geared towards the bigger jackpots, but that they prefer to use the same at a personal level. I got a jackpot system, I did not develop it thou I use it a lot.

CONTEXT MATTERS: Majority of Indiana's wins was from Powerball BEFORE California came along; California came into the Powerball 2012 ; Indiana Powerball 1992. 20 years head start that is why they have more wins but California will catch them soon the way this turd cycle is going. Hey congrats to California! Will someone let me know when PB or MM reaches 100 mil or more; that's when I play the game. And even so, I only buy one ticket per 100 mil.
