Millionaire for Life multi-state lottery game to replace Cash4Life and Lucky for Life in February
Here's what we know about the upcoming for life draw game
By Kate Northrop
The new Millionaire for Life multi-state draw game is just around the corner, which will offer the jackpot of a lifetime.
Millionaire for Life is set to debut in just a month, as Lottery Post first announced last October. As we say goodbye to Lucky for Life and Cash4Life for good, here's what we know so far about the new multi-state for life game that will replace them.
Players in 31 jurisdictions will ha

Are you playing Mega Millions with the $5.00 per play?
Voted Very Little myself. The $5 price fundamentally changed the value math, and I don't think enough people have run the numbers on what you're actually getting for the extra $3.
The jackpot odds barely moved: the big prize went from 1 in 302,575,350 to 1 in 290,472,336 with the removal of one Mega Ball. That's about a 4% improvement. Statistically real, practically meaningless when you're that deep in the hundreds of millions. So you're not really paying $5 for better jackpot odds.

How I Would Spend the $1,000 (The Hybrid Strategy)
If I were handed this card, I wouldn't pick any of the extreme options above. I would split the amount to balance entertainment, a shot at a massive payout, and a baseline return:
$300 on $20 or $30 Scratch-offs: I would buy a sequential pack or a roll. Since the odds for smaller prizes are high, this $300 would likely convert into roughly $100 to $150 in cash, while keeping a real (albeit small) shot at a five- or six-figure prize.

Just so you'd know, it a hard nut to crack when it comes on to scoring a st88 hit (1:100,000 odds) so if your bankroll is small and you aren't a patient person you may be in for a mighty long ride trying to get even a minute

Assuming that my chart is correct, I created a calendar of predicted numbers for every day for a year. From that, I made a GIGANTIC table of your predicted numbers for every date since May 9th, 2025 though May 8th, 2026 - 365 days. Finally, I did the Win vs Cost from the chart. Here are the results for how your workup would have performed:
365 days x 2 draws / day = 730 draws
Cost to Play = 730 draws X $138 / draw = $100,740
Winnings = 98 Straight Hits X $500 Winnings / Straight Hit =

Help Me Understand This 😭
From 2/22 when the new MFL game launched, Both the Powerball and Mega Millions jackpots have been won twice - each.
We have also had numerous 2nd prize winners for both of the above games.
We are yet to have a jackpot or even a 2nd prize winner with MFL. On 4/22 it will be two months since the game launched.
Does it mean we have fewer people playing MFL in the 31 states where it's available?
The odds of winning are way lower than for both PB and MM, but yet they keep on producing

Are you playing Mega Millions with the $5.00 per play?
Hmm, the Jackpot has been won 6 times since the $5.00 change.
Yet, the x10 on 5 + 0 has only been won 1 time.
Let's see, the Jackpot odds are
1 in 290,472,336.0
And, the x10 on 5 + 0 odds are
1 in 404,135,424.0
Yep, seems our calculations are holding up in the real world examples.
Good Luck

Florida's Fantasy 5
There's something I want anybody who might be reading this thread to know. And that's this -
No matter how impressed (or unimpressed) any given FF5 player might be with the things I posted immediately above, it's still very hard to win a FF5 jackpot.
I've had Gail Howard's SmartLuck software for 10 years, and even though my software shows me all of these things that a player can't possibly know if they don't have software, or determine very easily manually, I have NEVER WON ANY KIND OF

Are you playing Mega Millions with the $5.00 per play?
At the odds and the payouts, you are lucky if you win $$, a free ticket that is won never seems to pay off, EVER!! And my intuition tells me, under deeper scrutiny, we might find these funds being laundered into our political party system. Sorry, I'm still not over the Powerball security debacle, with a delayed drawing that was pushed to 8:30 a.m. Eastern Time. The next morning, the winning store's security tape had the news van in the parking lot next door at 4:30 a.m., waiting for the owner to
