$1.8 billion Powerball jackpot won by a single lottery ticket sold in Arkansas
Congratulations to the winner. I hope they do amazing things with the opportunity they have been blessed with. On a side note, I think the MUSL does a poor job of marketing the game as they really don't want people to play and or win often. Especially at low levels. 20M dollars (9.2M cash) is also life changing money. Anyone who wins that could take the cash, literally do NOTHING but invest in basic treasuries and still earn 17k dollars a month in perpetuity. Imagine spending 17k dollars and it

Michigan Lottery announces Bonus Draws Daily 4 promotion
Of course you don't have any proof. That's because what you wrote is false.
Paying you 20% more on a winning ticket does not make the game harder to win when they're not changing the numbers matrix. You pick 4 numbers, with some type of bet (straight, boxed, etc.), and they pick 4 numbers. A match wins whatever amount, plus 20% in the promotion. Your chances of winning are the same.

Virginia Lottery Director Khalid R. Jones appointed as Mega Millions Lead Director
I read everyone comments and I actually agree with everyone who has different perspective on the price increase. And there's the problem, no one is playing the piece of crap new structure game. I never purchased a $5 ticket since it's new structure and I'll never will as long it stays at this price. I don't care if it reaches 2 Billion, NOPE because PB will probably between $400-$800 million levels if MM reaches those levels and I have a piece mind my $2 going towards jackpots that's more fair t

Take 5 NY
Hi there ! I keep records of winnings as well as of losses, because I don't want to go overboard, want to have self control, like my signature says..
By the way, like I have mentioned a couple of times, I give total thanks credit to Mr. Caspernina Mr. Give5 for sharing their experience/knowledge providing very useful tips to play this game. I go over all their instructions every week I m still learning .(is that true Juliejulez ? Haha..I said that because very often I play combinations in th

Mega Millions and Powerball Race
I bought a bunch of Powerball tickets for the last drawing when the annuity jackpot was $2 billion. I normally don't play that game because the odds of winning are approximately zero. For the same price, I can get far better odds of winning less money but still life changing money. I was willing to try it because it would be fun to spend $600 million in today's money after tax.
For Megamillions, the equivalent annuity jackpot would have to be $5 billion for me to play (even then, maybe not,

Illinois man's $1 million lottery win was inspired by a "sign" from father
Multiple uncanny events occur before experiencing life-changing win
By Kate Northrop
An Illinois man experienced a myriad of signs related to his late father before winning a $1 million prize on a lottery ticket.
A $1 million win in the lottery awaited an Illinois man at the end of a series of spiritual coincidences that all reminded him of his late father.
The Illinois resident named John, who went by the nickname Music Man when collecting his prize, told Illinois Lottery offici

my idea for a multi-state lottery
1) Choose 6 numbers from 1 to 68.
2) Tickets cost $1.
3) Match all 6 to win the jackpot, which starts at $25 million.
4) 10 cents of each ticket gets added to the jackpot.
5) Match 5 of 6 to win the 2nd prize of $100,000.
6) Buy 5, get one free. For $5, you get 6 lines, which is either 6 QP or your playslip of 5 sets of 6 numbers plus one QP.
7) Both prizes are all cash (subject to taxes, of course, we can't get around that). No annuity BS. If you win $25 million and want

Virginia Lottery Director Khalid R. Jones appointed as Mega Millions Lead Director
Hopefully he's intelligent enough to decrease the game price
Unlike a lot of people here he's intelligent enough to know that the lottery's only marketing concern is maximizing revenue, and the $5 tickets are probably doing that.
I'm pretty certain they wouldn't be changing leadership if they were happy with the current set of changes
Did you read the story? The lead directors serve terms of 1 year, and they're usually also holding the job of lead director for a state lottery. The

New Jersey teacher receives $500,000 winning lottery ticket as gift from parent
Teacher's summer surprise: forgotten ticket worth half a million
By Kate Northrop
A New Jersey teacher received a variety of gifts from their students' parents at the end of the school year, but one stood out among the rest: a lottery ticket worth $500,000.
Late June is the time parents usually give their children's teachers a thank-you present in New Jersey public schools, and one teacher was lucky to find out that their gifted lottery ticket was worth more than expected.
