Asset managers accused of fronting for real $254M Powerball winner
What a hoot this one turned out to be - smart move by Mr. Anonymous. So the Belpointe Group weren't the real winners - who cares - they now have over $100 million to manage for the real winner. It is what it is folks - I say more power to them From Connecticut Lottery Website: Certain information regarding our winners is published and made available. The Lottery will publish and upon request, make available a winner's name, city or town of residence, date and amount of win and the name/loc

The Great Lottery Revolt
It comes down to a question of whether players want their lotteries to be dynamic and prosper, or whether they'd prefer it to be driven by a philosophy of internal arguments about which dispossessed or alienated faction gets the biggest piece of the action. Lotteries are just a painless revenue source and it's the job of state legislatures to determine where the money goes. But whether there's any money to go anywhere depends on the people over at the lottery commission territory. What's i

Do not get burned by this service station!
Don't believe everything you hear on here. Un-cashed lottery scratch tickets belong to the purchaser of the books. If a seller goes out of business the lottery claims all their equipment any moneys due to them they may reimburse the seller for unsold lottery tickets to clear their debt with them. Stores that sell lottery enter into a partnership with the lottery for ticket sales. Some and i mean some places might get scratchoffs on consignment. As far as i know the lottery might ship bo

Loaded for Bear - Secrets within for Water, Fire...All
Jake, as always...... There is also another biggie going on. Not that it shows numbers, but can allow us to be more clear as far as insight. Neptune turns direct as we speak. The cloudy, introspective motion of the retrogade period is passing. Neptune the fuzzy planet of illumination, holds hands with the wounded healer'' Chiron now for a good while. Chiron is the wound to the psyche and the healer. The issues of the year we have been struggling with can be solved with this grand conjun

Lottery winnings and divorce
If you could not claim anonymously, it might be better to have a trustworthy family member (ie mother, father or sibling) claim and work out an agreement to be gifted money or be part of a family limited partnership. Pennsylvania allows for a trust to claim, but they will name the beneficiaries of the trust as part of public record. So if one of the beneficiaries is in a divorce, they might be S.O.L. You have a year to claim in PA. Maryland allow anonymous claims, but 182 days to claim.

FL resident looking for way to play/win Powerball anonymously
With respect to the original post, I say go for it...I live next to a state that allows the winner to remain anonymous, so sometimes I'll drive across the border to play for this reason. Sure, it's a bit of gas and time, but it's actually something I really enjoy (gives me plenty of time to brainstorm on how I will spend my winnings!). By the way, I always use the multi-draw option so I can play the same set of numbers for 15 draws. I find this to work really well, as I don't have to worry about

Groups in a non-anonymous state
Just FYI since there have been many posts about claiming a jackpot as a trust or corporation, here is a recent press release from the Florida Lottery where a Limited Partnership claimed a Lotto jackpot. I can't say for all states, but in Florida the names will always be listed. There is no way around it from what I can see. The only information not shown here is the age and city of residence of each winner, which is always mentioned. (They might all live in Tampa.) At least they have names I'll

David kills Goliath in Michigan will keep promise to friends!
According to my reading on the web I believe a proportional lottery pool would be acceptable to the IRS, but the burden of proof that such an agreement existed prior to the drawing is going to be on the winners. I've read some reports of cases on the web, and my conclusion is that if a person doesn't want a lot of money going out in legal fees fighting the IRS (and still likely losing), one had better make the evidence as clearcut as possible. I don't believe the way you (Destined) have suggeste
