Do you believe every combination has the same probability?
Why does it matter why or how a player chooses their numbers when the bet is conditional? The entire point is that it doesn't matter how you choose your numbers. The lottery is a random event, so no matter how oyu choose your numbers your chances are determined solely by the odds of the game. And the chances of 15 QPs winning something or a 15 line wheel winning something are exactly the same. That's why you don't get any improvement in the odds by using a wheel. Do you think all of

3 charged in theft of $250,000 lottery ticket
It definitely should be policy across the country. Clerks have too much insider info that a general person walking in off the street does not. Clerks know when the machine/counter dispenser is re-stocked, they know which tickets to avoid playing if you have a scratch at the store type person who goes and turns in winners right away, they handle packs, set machines, do payouts, have access to ticket numbers and payout amounts of tickets turned in, which btw is very helpful in determin

Basics of a Successful System
You previous said: A person on LP already posted straight from Florida's pre test and post test protocols and it's ridiculous. And this is what's on really on the the Florida web site: Florida Lottery drawings are conducted under strict security guidelines and procedures. A Lottery draw manager and an auditor from an independent auditing firm attend and participate in every drawing. These two individuals report to the draw studio at least 90 minutes prior to the actual drawing. The Lo

Lottery machine
It's a pretty rude and inconsiderate thing to do... some players feel like it's etiquette not to play from a row, game or machine they are playing from. That's BS in my opinion. I like the advice, just mention to her that you hit a few nice tickets earlier in the day on the games that she appears to be playing. Might shut her down a bit. Either that or ask her if she would mind you buying a ticket. If she gets huffy, tell her you won't buy from the games she is playing. I

For some of us, when it rains it pours. I got zipp on my 3 millionaire raffle tickets as well. I think that takes me over 15 raffle tickets total with not one single winning ticket in the last 2 years. I'll play from time to time, but as omiller said it's just not worth it. Yeah people do win, I mean I can throw a rock at the store that sold a million dollar winning scratcher last month, from my house. But it wasn't me, so it may as well have been a thousand miles away. I won

Not Happy With My QPs For Today's Treasure Hunt Jackpot
The skewing you describe seems very blatant. It could be a serious flaw in the RND, which wouldn't surprise me in the least. Ever watch a self-service terminal reboot? I have, and yikes! Lots of apparent software kludges appear to load during start up. Maybe it's secure, but it sure doesn't look like it. More to the point, with all that software and hardware interacting, it's very possible the RND is faulty in some way. It's been an ongoing problem with many SSL programs on the web due to poo

Stopped back at Sheetz on my way home from my first job today, wanted to try some of the new $20 ticket (Million Dollar Payout) but they didn't have any. Yesterday the machine had two empty slots when I picked up my tickets... I figured that they would put at least one if not two more rolls of the new $20 in. I find that it looks like they only put one in and it was sold out already! So I decided to try another Million Dollar Supercash (last month's $20) and see how it does.

Annoyed while waiting in the lottery line - Venting
LOL I know just what you mean. I get my stuff, then get moving. I HATE machine hogs...they have the shifty eyes too. They're always watching who is 'sneaking' up on them or watching them. They have wild imaginations, someone is always out to get them...or their tickets. That's why they stand there, always watch their back and stare you down if you dare approach within 10 feet of their temporary rental unit. You have to talk to them like they're children. I've explained to some that I

The Lottery Machine Ate My Ten
Credit where it's due, Publix on Sample Road, Coral Springs Florida. On the way out I stop at the Florida Lottery Self Serve machine and feed it a ten intending to purchase two $5 scratch tickets. The machine is one of the newest I've seen, the one that can generate Quick Picks and scans tickets as well as selling scratch tickets. So I push the left plastic square, the machine grinds, but no ticket drops. I think, maybe the right will give me two, no way, I get the orange scree

Couple wins $3M jackpot 27 years after wife's numbers last came up
He's finally forgiven, because last time he forgot to buy tickets In February 1986, Robert and Jeanne Gagnon had the winning Megabucks lottery numbers for the weekly drawing. Not that it mattered. I had all the numbers, Jeanne Gagnon said Wednesday. But my husband forgot to pick up a ticket that day. And I've been hearing about it ever since, her husband, Robert Gagnon, said, shaking his head. Now it appears all is forgiven. Two weeks ago, the retired couple learned they held t
