North Carolina Lottery adds Cash 5 Double Play feature
Players try out new feature for a second chance to win

Sunday marked the release of the North Carolina Lottery's Cash 5 Double Play add-on feature, which gives players the chance to win a prize twice in one night for an extra $1 per play.

Kansas lawmakers considering lottery vending machines
Kansas Lottery players soon might be able to buy tickets from vending machines.
The House voted this week in support of the move, which the state lottery has sought for three years.
Lottery spokeswoman Sally Lunsford said the measure would increase lottery revenue and cut labor costs for retailers, where ticket buyers could bypass clerks and use the self-service machines. She said 37 other states, including Missouri, Colorado and Oklahoma, use the machines.

Generating Play Slips
To prevent from having to time consuming process of manually fill out play slips for several different state lotteries I have tried multiple methods:
Method 1:
Create a number matrix in reporting in an Access Database or SSRS (SQL Reporting Services) that prints the dots on the numbers I want to play and how many games. Fill the manual feed tray of the printer with play slips and print.

US lottery experiences and the Patels
So I thought I'd share some recent very boring experiences from NY.
I was recently in NY and bought tickets for the NY Lotto (once only) and bought PB and MM tickets regularly.
Some dollars and some dreams, it would have been so much fun to figure out how to deal with the winning while on vacation, flying there coach, flying back private or first class.
