Woman sues casino that offered her steak dinner instead of $43 million jackpot
Most machines will automatically print a ticket. Say you have $1100 in the machine, you hit for $300, it'll stop play momentarily and print up a ticket so to avoid paying taxes since you went over the $1200 limit. Don't know if LP members follow slots like I do, but Nevada is trying to get the IRS to increase it from $1200 to a higher amount. A couple of years ago the IRS wanted to lower it like $600, but their lobbyists successfully got that stupid idea nixed. Now...I wish there were lottery lo

Woman sues casino that offered her steak dinner instead of $43 million jackpot
She should have taken the steak dinner. Who turns down a free meal? Clearly she won't win the case because the machine is NOT programmed for a 43 million dollar payout. You don't even have to be a gambling nut to realize penny slots don't pay in the millions for a jackpot...duh !

Woman denied $43 million jackpot, offered steak dinner instead
The thing is, just for public relations issues, it would not hurt that casino one bit to give her a million just for the f-up. That wouldn't even be a blip on their radar. It would be life changing for her. Even 5 million would not hurt them at all. How can the machine malfunction and show a figure that large? The programming should make that impossible! The fact that they have the arrogance to give her the shaft so completely is outrageous! That's why i gave up on even the slots once they went

Anyone here play slots?
I just got off the phone with my brother in law Travis and we set a date to have breakfast at spirit mountain casino on November the 5th it is a Saturday. So I will be taking $300 to buy breakfast for the family and then $200 for slot play at spirit mountain. I like spirit mountain more because the buffet is better than Chinook Winds casino and they have a lot more games or slots to play too. When I go I think I am going to try Fu duo lee slot machine it is a new game that I saw on the Spirit Mo

Taxes
My wins were 20k on a scratch off and 20k on a slot machine. I had a 1k scratch off and and a couple of smaller jackpots on slots. I guess I am going to have to consult with a tax professional. Like I said before, I don't want to write everything off and down the road get audited and be accused of tax fraud/evasion. We aren't trying to do anything illegal. Just have gambling problems! Lol.

Florida Scratch Offs - Post Pictures if posible
I know this is for scratchers but I just has my biggest win ever at the Hard Rock Casino in Tampa. Slot machines its a matter of being on the right machine at the right time. Same as scratchers, finding the right roll at the right time. I left the casino with a little over $9,000 this trip. Usually I lose playing slots, but do okay playing blackjack.

General question on lottery drawing procedures
I will chime in to add that the old pull lever and mechanics slot machines were also able to be messed around with. They were not random and were similar to today's computer slot machines with the difference being that gears and springs would be the cpu and code. There was a set percentage that would be paid out but it was harder to make sure the slots were not rigged unless inspected carefully, some places could add some different weights inside the springs to make a payout impossible. Thanks t

PA Raffle Countdown to 500,000 ...
Looks like PA will make it, but it's going to be close. I'm estimating late afternoon on the 3rd, just hours prior to draw time, they'll sell out. Other states, such as Delaware, have offered $10 raffle tickets, and struggled to sell them all. Ohio has extended their sales window and still might not make it. What makes the difference, beyond just population alone, is the number of readily accessible lottery terminals and player loyalty. PA has a very strong lottery - many states aren't as for

Out of country taxing on lottery winnings on Americans..
I think the currrent tax code sucks * ^%*( when it comes to winning lotteries or casino slot machine jackpots out of the USA.. This also goes for illegals out of Mexico that hit the jackpots on casino s

I hate scratch offs
This is a great strategy that I use when i go to the casino near my house to play slots and its very effective...i usually bring 60$ with me and play. A few weeks ago i sat down at my favorite machine that usually pays out and in 3 spins i was up 300$ i played 1 or 2 more spins at the max and then got up and cashed in the 300 and took 60 out of that like billionaire2bee was saying so I already have 240 in my pocket if i lose the other 60. In this recent trip I was fortunate enough to turn the ot
