Detroit lottery millionaire charged with murder
It's indeed too bad that Michigan doesn't have the death penalty.
I don't like Newt Gingrich either, susscs, but why be offended about him calling Detroit a failure?
It's the truth! Do you deny that?
Detroit used to be a great, world-class city and now it's a crime-ridden, ghetto-encumbered, drug-infested, ghost-town, shadow of it's former self.
And that transformation began when liberals took over the city and instituted their policies.
You say: come visit and let us sh

Non-lottery forum poll
Lottery Post is fine just as it is. I'm not interested in potential conversations about the price of gas today, the price of electric tomorrow, what
someone did or saw after they got their numbers, what tax hike is on the horizon or how much money is being pumped into the space program.
It's a headache waiting to happen. It would have to be sub-titled Days of Our Lives.....I've seen some of the trouble people can get into just
talking moonshine, politics, ex-wives, 4 dollar or whatever

D.C. fines lottery operator $1.4M in ticket scam
GTECH Corp., the operator of many government lotteries worldwide, was fined $1.4 million by the District of Columbia this month over charges that its subcontractors or a partner firm hacked into the district's lottery system and printed winning tickets for themselves two years ago.
The fine, which GTECH calls a blatantly political move, comes as the firm is locked in a long battle to retain the New Jersey contract it has held for more than two decades.
GTECH and its Washington, D.C., partn

Internet Gambling and the Presidential Race
For far more than 200 years, the federal government has let the states decide what their public policy toward gambling will be. Neighboring states, like Utah and Nevada, can adopt prohibition or casinos, and the federal government's role has been to either step aside or, if asked, to help a state enforce its laws.
That relationship changed on October 13, 2006, when Pres. George W. Bush signed the SAFE Port Act. As part of a futile presidential bid, Bill Frist (R.-TN.), then Majority Leader of

Born in St. Louis to Mary vos Savant and Joseph Mach, Marilyn opposes the tradition of children taking their father's surname, instead using her mother's maiden name. She attended Washington University, but dropped out to pursue a career in writing and investing.
Marilyn's listing in the 1986 Guinness Book of World Records brought her widespread media attention. Among the periodicals profiling her was Parade, which followe

Why the US is turing into a facist country
Please lets not single out one or the other of these parties again. This is making my eyes bleed. The mere fact that the statements use the word power , scares me. The founding fathers were not into power and that is why most of them worked for a dollar a year. Imagine any politician today working for a dollar a year. Even at that rate some of them would not be a bargain.
The real answer is, we have had stupidity in power for the last 46 plus years. The only reason I leave Ike out of t

Why the US is turing into a facist country
You are half right.
Bush signed things into law he KNEW would get over-ridden, so he made sure to sign things when Congress was not in session.
But you know what ?
It's not just him, it's EVERYONE in politics. I'm trying to figure out how folks can spend multi-millions on campaigns when the job they are running for pay $100,000 - $150,000, and I can only think of one reason - money under the table for favors.
It will never end, and it will never end when the 'new' elec
