when do you guys play?
I'm in a pool at work for Powerball and Louisiana Lotto. There are 6 of us in it and every payday, we put up $4/each and buy 2 Lotto and 3 Powerball tickets for the next 4 drawings. We've won a few small prizes here and there, but nothing big, yet. I play Louisiana Lotto myself, buying a ticket for every drawing. The prizes are smaller but the odds are better. With a minimum jackpot of $250,000, I could pay off all my debts, including my house, mortgage, etc. and be in a good position.

Lottery winner pleads innocent to ID theft, fraud charges
If you didn't see it, there's a link to a previous article about the case in the related stories box, and that article has more information. If the newspaper articles are correct, the woman got a check for $33,000 and two weeks later the cops could only find $1300. If that's any indication, the most she is likely to have done is make the minimum monthly payment so that the card wouldn't be cancelled, or perhaps she only started to use the card shortly before her arrest. Either way it probably wo

Breakfast buddies file suit over lottery ticket
Ohio Couple who won $250,000 playing Mega Million discovered the hard way that money can come between friends is a stupid statement. First off Friends don t steal from you. This couple stole $250,000 from people they were using. I run two lottery pools, one of my pools just turned 1 year old on Christmas Day. My Mega Million Pool will be two years old this coming February. My members, who number 18 to 27 people, always get copies of their tickets. I ask everyone who wants to play give me $1

Breakfast buddies file suit over lottery ticket
The suit asks for a judgment of $350,000 in compensatory damages and $100,000 in punitive damages and a finding that the Salcones not get any share of the winnings. The case is assigned to Judge Andrew Logan.Actually that's smart. They are suing for MORE than the ticket is worth, so he will settle the lawsuit by agreeing to split the money like he should have in the beginning. And if he doesn't settle, then the winnings will pay for lawyer's fee, court costs, and make him have to take out a

Newspaper takes a hard look at the N.J. Lottery
This Star-Ledger Investigative Report is a rehashing of the same old stuff. Yes...poor people are more interested in winning money than the rich are. Yes it can be argued that the concept is regressive ...however it is erroneous to refer to the Lottery as a form of regressive taxation. As defined by Webster's Dictionary...A Tax is a levy imposed by the state... That's the catch, the Sate is not imposing the Lottery Games on the poor, middle class or the rich. It is voluntary. The people pa
