Maryland Lottery a case study in the science of random numbers
Interesting about Ontario being lottery balls, because it and Western Canada are the last two lotteries I have been totally unable to get confirmation about for the Lottery Report Card.If you can absolutely confirm by witnessing that all of the drawings are by lottery balls (not computer), then I can move them into the good category.Unfortunately, not all of Canada's drawings are held with true drawings. British Columbia uses a computer for all of its drawings (except national 6/49 and Super

Dale E. Gilbert wants people to learn from his mistakes. He wants them to know how he got scammed in a lottery deal. Papers in hand, Gilbert laid out the evidence. Now he owes a local bank nearly $1,000.It started when he received an official looking notice from Euromillones loteria International of Spain that he had won money from a lottery. The letter detailed the winning ticket number, serial number, and lottery numbers which had allowed Gilbert to win over $1.3 million in cash.Gilbert was as

Co-workers sue British Columbia man who won $1 million lottery prize
Four co-workers are suing a Surrey, British Columbia, man for what they claim is their fair share of a $1 million lottery prize. Ding Jiu Du, Haret Dagane, Elwood Prado and Tounkham Homsombath say that on Dec. 12, 2018, they gave Hung Sengsouvanh some money left over from a contribution to an upcoming potluck Christmas party at the lighting factory where they all worked. The co-workers say they each proposed to kick in $5 to buy a $25 ticket for the Lotto Max jackpot for Dec. 14 because it

Lottery winner pranks kids by letting them 'find out about it on the news'
A Canadian man who won a CA$9.7 million (US$7.4 million) lottery jackpot said he wants his children to find out about it on the news. Daniel Schulli of Abbotsford, British Columbia, said he's been in a state of shock and elation since winning the top price in the Sept. 17 Lotto 6/49 draw. This is just so surreal, Schulli said. My wife and I have been walking around the house giggling because we just can't believe it! Schulli said he already has his first purchase planned. A brand

Age for working in a lotto booth
I've been seeing many lotto booths having young teenagers (about 15-17 years old) working for them and selling lottery tickets. Now over here in British Columbia the legal age of buying a lottery ticket is 19 years or older. I'm just wondering, how old do you have to be in order to work in a lottery ticket centre and if it's illegal for these teenagers to be selling lottery tickets?

Lottery Witness
The reason they video tape the draw and bring in the host later is five lottery regions use the video in their own way. The one hosted in the studio is done for British Columbia, Loto Quebec takes the raw video and cuts it down to fit into their French lottery stuff, Ontario uses parts of it to use on its webdraws. Because of the time constraints and procedures they still do it this way since Lotto 649 was launched in 1982. Sales information is for draws reconsilation, it proves that every lotte

Questions for Lottery Official
I will be travelling to British Columbia, Canada, in a couple of days for a week of vacation (downhill skiing). A friend of mine out there knows a lottery official (works in the audit department of the BC lottery). I will probably get a chance to meet him (may also be skiing) and will hopefully be able to ask him all kinds of lottery related questions. He probably knows a lot of the inside scoop.Post your questions here. I will collect them all before I leave and hopefully will return with some

Improvements to the jackpot history pages
I just finished installing significant improvements to the jackpot history page for each game, with expanded statistical information, native currencies (for non-US dollar jackpots), and US dollar equivalents. The Jackpot History page for a game can be viewed by clicking on the game, and then selecting Jackpot History from the popup menu. For example, here is the Mega Millions Jackpot History page: https://www.lotterypost.com/game/45/jackpot Here are some examples of some non-US Dollar g
