I will win the Mega Million or the Super Lotto
Maybe while he's on his back recovering from his operation, we can pitch in and win it for him. I don't mean win it and give it to him but win it and contribute a little of it to a charity for him and keep the rest for ourselves. I know just the charity to send it to.

lottery taxes
The next year (2006) they best be doing something (like giving to charity) to lower their tax rate or something as not to be paying such a high tax bill!Isn't charity is a percentage deduction, not a reduction in earned income? It would appear to be cheaper to give it to the IRS.

What charities have you got lined up if you hit big?
Are you starting the chartiy to skip out on taxes and somehow run a scammy charity I don't know if you're hamstrung by a reading problem or a thinking problem, but if you win the lottery and pay taxes on the income you'll only have 50 to 60% left to donate to charities. That means that even if a charity somehow had no operating expenses and could spend 100% of your donation directly on insert cause here they still wouldn't be spending any more than the amount you think makes wounded warrior

$900 MILLION: Powerball lottery jackpot to create unimaginable wealth
I'm not a tax lawyer/CPA, but I just take the cash value and multiply it by .604 (the inverse of .396) to account for federal taxes. I don't have a state tax, so $558 million is worth $337 million to me. The 25% federal withholding is just how much they take out, you still have to pay the rest of it yourself, meaning the check will come for $418.5 million and I'll have to write another check to the IRS for $81.5 million or so. Yeah, deductions can reduce that, but lottery winners lose up t

What in your opinion would be some of the best charities to give to if and when you win a jackpot
The absolute number one charity on the planet is THE SALVATION ARMY. First of all, more of each dollar donated goes to help others and not for overhead. Secondy, all SALVATION ARMY EMPLOYEES earn a very meager salary. Some of the CEO's of other charities make close to a million dollars or more a year, and THE SALVATION ARMY number one person makes probably less than $50,000. THE SALVATION ARMY is usually the first charity to arrive on any disaster, and they provide food, shelter, clothing AT NO
