Florida Woman's lotto legacy lives on after 25 years>>
Hey Meathead i've been out of pocket but i'm back to straighten you out. It's ones like you that blindly give to charities and then don't follow up. Why? It's because your lazy. Real charity should include your time as well as money whenever possible. Try this. Say you want to give away $2000 this year in charity. Rent a Uhaul and go to a Costco or Sam's club(or wherever you want) and buy that much in bulk food and take it to a food bank giveaway at Christmans time. This way you can experience c

There is this wonderful invention called the internet. It is easy to check out a charity online. I won't post the links but there are many resources. To vilify a little old lady who gave far more to charity than most lottery winners would, says a lot. And who determines if her foundation did right? Do you know there are legal requirements for establishing a foundation? And when you set up a foundation, YOU determine where your money will go and you will receive it. Sometimes people trash generou

Are you playing to win for yourself, the family or some charity after you gone?
This question is born out of the fact that some lottery winners spent very little of their wealth- hoarding their money for who knows that. Squirreling away ones money in the hopes of extending it is in some ways foolish to many. As someone mentioned Why hide your riches or spend very little when the dollar is meant to circulate- why play in the first place if this is what is to become of your wealth? So: Do you play for others, namely the family or the idea that you would spent very little

Has Todd won the Lottery?
Saving money versus playing the lottery? What kind of charity? Non profit charity or for profit charity? What kind of party? Democratic party or Republican Party? The choice is yours red pill or blue pill? I love the matrix movie.

Can a non-profit Org. cash a JP ticket and NOT pay taxes?
I think you misunderstood my last post KY, I changed my approach and said I would become a charity give 92.5% of my winnings to some OTHER CHARITY to whom I am not associated and will not benefit from in any way. I will keep the remaining 7.5% and function as a charity (who has joyfully given $92.5 million) and pay myself $200,000, a year for the next 40 years. Will that work?

If I won the Lottery (Charity Discussions).. I would give
Thought this might be a cool topic: For those of you wanting/dreaming of winning the lotto (Jackpot games?), what selfless charity contributions would you do?? (If it's none, lol says so). I had thoughts that if I won the lotto, I would give large portion as an Scholarship fund for College Students? (As well as the Family House/Car contributions)

What charity or charities
Tonights Mega jackpot cash value is $94,200,000... Suppose you were advised to take the cash option, paid the taxes and for the sake of simplicity, you designate about $10,000,000 to charity. What would you do? What charitable organizations would you give to. I'll post my answer separately.

$207M Mega Millions lottery winners happy, but waiting
I think donatine to charity is definitely not a bad move, but I also think giving the employees a bonus wouldn't have been a bad move either. If I worked at an establishment that received a bonus out of the blue, I would hope they would share it with all of the hard working employees, but if I found out it went to a charity instead I would not be dissapointed. Hey, at least the CEO didn't just get a $100,000 bonus. Taking care of the 'little guy' in your company is a nice gesture, but so is d

POLL: Motivation for playing
I think if I ever played the lottery it'd be one of those hospital-type charity ones, because I follow a philosophy of selfishness. Like, if I were to donate blood, I would have to justify it to keep from iron levels getting too high, or to become stronger by getting accustomed to the pain of needles which is necessary for giving blood tests at old age. In the case of lottery, you want to give to charity, but if the charity may not directly benefit you, so you can excuse it by there being a

Which charity would you support?
Barron Hilton, chairman of the foundation, intends to contribute 97 per cent of his entire net worth, estimated today at $US2.3 billion, including the created trusts, at whatever value it is at the time of his passing, the foundation said. Good on ya, Barron! If you had billions, which charity would you support?
