Florida lottery winner accused of grand theft
The lottery doesn't care who wins it, as long as it gets won. Congratulations to law enforcement for catching this thief.

Some lottery winning streaks have defied belief
What the heck is wrong with some of these lottery officials?. It's bad enough, that they rip you off as it is, now they wanna butt-in on how you decide to cash-in your winning ticket. If I win a little over $600.00, I'm not going to drive all the way to the lottery office, to get that fake smile, fill out their stupid forms and get that stupid picture taken, with that almost same expression you see at all lottery websites that proclaims loudly.... I'D RATHER NOT BE TAKING THIS ASININE PICTURE .

Aunt's dream of deceased grandmother
Goodnight LP members. I just found out that my aunt had a dream about my deceased grandmother (85) a few weeks ago In this dream my grandmother was just standing up like she was waiting on someone. My aunt then asked her if she was waiting on my grandfather (83) who died a two years before her. She then replied no. I am waiting on and she called my last name. The strange thing is that both me (39) and my brother(43) work in different law enforcement departments and we are both called by our last

Weird Lottery experience...
You should have let her call law enforcement and waited for them to show up. I'd be pissed if a clerk told me that after looking at my playslip and advance play wasn't marked. Couldn't she have manually applied advance play to your ticket transaction either intentionally or by error? Maybe it's a racket at that store, force people to buy unwanted advance plays by raising their voice and threatening to call police?? I've had issues with latex residue interfering with scans too.

Wyoming Gov. announces 9-member lottery board
Several newly appointed members of the board of the Wyoming Lottery Corporation say it's too early in the process to tell whether the state will sign on with an existing, multi-state lottery such as Powerball, establish its own statewide contests or possibly do both. Gov. Matt Mead on Monday announced the nine members of the board. His office said they plan an organizational meeting in Casper next week. The board members are truly Wyoming leaders in their areas of expertise, Mead said. I

Has there been a study as to whether there have been or are more Female JP winners than Males?
I find that most careers that require rough work and are dangerous are mainly in the hands of men. Fire fighting, construction jobs, auto repairs, trash handlers, sports professionals, law enforcement, fishing, transportation (truck, bus and cab driving). A big proportion of workers in the in paper pushing careers such as accountants, marketers, legal matters are also men. Idk. But since there is no data to go by and both of us are relying on subjective knowledge then I call this one a truce

Illegal betting operations shut due to cash strapped States?
They're looking for money wherever they can get it, fines, fees, sting ops, more law enforcement -- except going after violent criminals (sorry, all of our officers are busy writing traffic tickets ...) There's no way to rule innocent men. The only power government has is the power to crack down on criminals. When there aren't enough criminals, one makes them. One declares so many things to be a crime that it becomes impossible for men to live without breaking laws.

Texas lawmaker aims to bring video gaming to state
If I lived in Texas I'd welcome the video gaming. If government can raise revenue in creative ways to cover their reckless spending sprees I'd be all for it. I would even support the legalization of dope. Look at all the money that could be made there by taxing it. And look at all the money that could be saved in unnecessary law enforcement, legal, justice and incarceration expenses. It ain't like it's ever gonna stop dopers from doing dope anyway, anymore than prohibition stopped drinkers
