Mass. Lottery may offer online games
We have online ticket sales in the UK, not sure on the % of people who play it but I expect it to be really high compared to retail sales... although I still buy from a retailer since I just prefer having the actual ticket in my hand that I can sign the back etc.. also it's nice to just dig out your change from your pocket and get rid of it that way!

Colorado moves to forbid online lottery sales
It proablely has more to do with the retailers keeping their 5% sale commissions than keeping kids from buying tickets. ...... I have said before.. Instead of the retailers fighting to stop online ticket sales, they should get on board with it.. sell lottery rechargable cards, where peaople top up the amount they want on the card in store to use later online. They will still get the % from the sale, sure they wont get lots of sales on whatever stuff they may offer in the store by

Online gambling threatened by U.S. legislators
I'm very much in favor of individual state lotteries being able to sell tickets online. Were it legal then I would do so in the comfort of my own home just like any other online purchase. .... also feel that ticket sales would be increased for all state lotteries set up to sell online. I suppose the bill being considered before congress is why Georgia tabled their online ticket sales proposal until whatever legislation makes its way through on a federal level.

Sort of strange the N.C. Retail Merchants Association is claiming lottery agents are losing $5 make for every $100 worth of online ticket sales when about 65% of sales are scratch-offs. Basically their argument is a potential loss of sales based on online players not going to stores.

Mass. Lottery may offer online games
Online ticket sales/subscriptions may be great for nations that don't tax lottery winnings. In the good ol' U.S of A however, online subscriptions have very nasty pitfalls. Every red cent you win is documented under your name as part ot your earned income. I like buying real tickets that I can hold in my hands. When I win secondary prizes, I just use that money for more tickets, no questions asked.

Future of the Lottery
Congress must repeal the unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act of 2006 before anyone can create an international lottery game for U.S. players. We currently don't even have a national game because you can't buy MM or PB tickets in one state and cash them in another. It's possible a couple of states will ban together for Internet poker and eventually evolve into online ticket sales.

Some retailers worried As he stood in line for lottery tickets Wednesday at C-Mini Mart #3 on Poole Road, David Auther said store patrons and workers know him by his lucky Pick 3 number.
