Illinois Lottery to add Powerball online ticket sales
Powerball would be added to the mix of lottery games that Illinois offers online under legislation that squeaked through the House Monday. The multi-state Powerball game would join Lotto and Mega Millions, the two games Illinois put online in March when it became the first state in the nation to sell lottery tickets by Internet. Dismissing opposition, Rep. Lou Lang, D-Skokie, said the measure simply adds a third game online rather than opening the door to widespread gambling that the bill'

Illinois to become first state to allow online lottery sales
Its a bout time the US embraced technology that other countries have been profiting from for years. If each state was to have online ticket sales, some of the dollars flowing out of this country might decrease. Just my thoughts.

$2 games
If individual state lotteries begin offering online ticket sales, that would effectively cut costs and allow them to keep purchase prices down to $1 while increasing sales. Would love to purchase tickets in the comfort of my home! Also might cut down on some auto emission pollution while they're at it.

Wisconsin lottery ticket sales increase $7.4 million
Online ticket sales, however, dipped $3.8 million. Bohage said many of the lottery's online games have largely stagnated because they have been around for a long time. I hope they don't plan on changing some of the games anytime soon. I want to hit Supercash before they may end up getting rid of it.

Mass. Lottery retailers fight online sales bill
Right. So they want to hold back progress because they feel it will adversely affect their business? That's not a legitimate enough reason. When will retailers learn that they cannot stop change and that they don't drive the markets, the consumer does. If we left it to retailers we'd still be using whale oil and candles. Adapt or die. Online ticket sales are inevitable. They can't be this oblivious to that fact. They also shouldn't be this oblivious to the fact that fighting change has NEVER wor

New fight looms over MN lottery online sales
Minnesota Gov. Mark Dayton is braced for a repeat struggle over the Minnesota Lottery and said Tuesday that its director faces a challenge in trying to preserve online ticket sales that many lawmakers want to outlaw. Dayton expressed little doubt that the Legislature will again attempt to bar most virtual ticket sales and acknowledged that the veto he used to short-circuit their push last spring might not hold up. At the urging of Lottery Director Ed Van Petten, Dayton struck down the prop
