The Future of Online Lottery Sales?
Repealing the Justice Departments decision on the Wire Act is probably DOA because state lotteries have begun online ticket sales. It was more of an issue to the Poker Player Alliance because a repeal would make it impossible to have U. S. based online poker sites. The PPA was also disappointed at the Democrat Party platform because it doesn't address online gambling. We have one party against online gambling and the other doesn't care.

The Future of Online Lottery Sales?
Now that at least two state lotteries have online ticket sales, repealing the Justice Departments decision could become a states rights issue and go all the way to the Supreme Court. I agree about the platform; it satisfies the Georgia Family Council and a similar group opposing the Arkansas Lottery. It probably satisfies the North Dallas chapter of the NAACP too though I doubt they were part of the platform selection process.

It might be a while til we see online ticket sales since we haven't been around. I wonder if they have .25 cent options. I wish

Tenn. proposal for real lottery drawings withdrawn
Georgia and all neighboring lottery states gratefully accept all of Tennessee's lottery money!! Good time to press for national legislation for online ticket sales across state lines .... giving players in RNG only states a choice .... especially with rising gas prices and the move toward a greener world.

lottery watching us?
The national average is around 65% of all lottery sales are scratch-offs. The Ohio Lottery created an online game, Lot 'O Play base on their popular Bingo scratch-offs. It was a bust, but other lotteries have hybrid games like Five Card Cash with instant win features. Several of the 5/39 games have rolling jackpots meaning it's highly unlikely of even a one drawing loss. The majority of online ticket sales at least until Thursday should be PB this week because of the $400 million jackpot. The

The Future of Online Lottery Sales?
You probably spoke with the wrong person because all the state lottery officials discussed the potential of online ticket sales. To my knowledge Wisconsin has no laws prohibiting Internet gambling although in their codes, they do site Federal law. There are states with laws (KY is one) that prohibits online gambling but it could be easily repealed if they or any other state with such a law decides to sell lottery tickets online. In March, the Illinois legislation created and passed a law all

Ruling by Justice Dept. opens a door on online gambling
You're making a mountain out of a mole hill because the majority of sales in every state lottery including Tennessee are scratch-offs. If some players are worried about paying taxes or have a way of collecting their winnings without the IRS knowing, they'll continue to buy the online game tickets at their local stores. I doubt interstate online ticket sales will drastically boost sales unless a lottery comes up with a must play game. The one area where I do see a potential is raffle tickets.
